I smell bad faith. The least they could do would be either make the buttons say how much longer until the next ad is available, or simply not bother offering bits for ads in the first place (rather than giving us what essentially amounts to false hope; if you don't know when the next ad is available, don't bother teasing us!)
I have stopped spending bits altogether, and probably won't pay for any more subs (other than the 'free' one that comes with my Prime), because I don't have the money for this sh**. I only spent $ one time on bits, and that was for the "starter" discount.
(Ironically, I'm one of the few people that is genuinely aware of and okay with being "sold" to advertisers; whatever makes the wheels turn... but the wheels aren't turning when I can't watch ads)
edit: just to be clear, I understand that there is a "limit" on the number of ads that can be watched in total between all users at a given time; my problem is that the current system seems... difficult, to say the least. So long as there is a constant "flow" of ads into the pool, people that have watched an ad should eventually be allowed to watch another, without having to refresh every 20 minutes or something. If you have to, sell some ads to Google or something; they've got plenty! Because the current system is stupid and unfair, and I don't think anyone can reasonably question this. My decision to boycott the Sub and Bits purchasing systems still stands; you need to fix this sh** because it pisses me off
