Ads turn away viewers which is highly detrimental and does not seem to be worth it or have any benefits for new and small channels that are not yet compelling enough to keep people watching through ads,

Such channels are more in need of optimal discovery to make growth in viewers from content, first and foremost before they can create a compelling enough chat to later encourage new viewers who click the link to stay on Twitch, keep watching, and paying attention, even through the ads.

The suggestion, therefore, is to temporarily disable ads for any small channels for a given period of time per stream (while they are less than 10 viewers), And create a provision for smaller channels where it is offered to either disable Pre-Rolls - "At Cost", where lost Ad Revenue will be deducted from that month's proceeds of the streamer's subscriptions and bits,

Or allow to disable Pre-roll Ads automatically while the number of current subscribers is high as a percentage compared to either present concurrent views or total views for that day -- and allow this as a community incentive So streamers would be encouraged to sell more subscriptions, and those who sell enough subscriptions (For example: 50% as many subs as views so far that day), or have been "Boosted" Receive a balance of Ad-Free views for non-subs until that number of views is used up.

The display of ads then becomes tied to channels who have a more established audience with a smaller percentage of subscribers watching who will more likely Subscribe or keep watching Twitch through the ads.

More control over attributes of the HTML elements in the panels and the CSS styling, especially the IMG tags would be very helpful. Being able to add both ALT and TITLE attributes with the relevants ALT texts for accessibility and TITLE/Mouse hover texts with additional explanation seem like very basic and necessary features that are missing.

Often broadcasters are putting images as their entire panels for content that is just text with some framing because all the various CSS controls for adding suitable styling for the text and an icon or background to a panel, Etc; Just is not there... this is not just bad for accessibility for disabled users: its also a worse experience for both those creating and maintaining a channel's panels and the viewers.

So aside from being able to customize ALT an TITLE.... It would also be useful to be able to customize CSS and more of a panel's HTML possibly have a rich panel type allowing upload of a font or icon and full customization of the html+css inside a sandbox (excepting for no scripting or embedding objects with a src= of a 3rd party web server).

Well, animation is definitely an "Art", which is just a hair more specific than "Creative"; there are many other kinds of arts from Drawing, Painting, and Pottery, to Dance, Theatre, and Mimery. There are MANY kinds of art. And none of those different arts have their own separate overall "Category", and it seems it would not make any sense logically for Animation alone to be split off from Art, either.

Animation is in fact... well known as a Visual Art.

Streams can be tagged "Animation" as one of the tags in the dashboard --- Animation is a proper tag that things can be searched by; just like any of the other kinds of Art.

I would suggest an alternate way of allocating emotes to affiliates.... Give affiliates some milestones they can graduate to similar to how partners unlock emotes by number of subs - Let an affiliate have up to 4 Tier1 emotes instead of just one. If emote slots on the site are a limited resource, then give more of them to Affiliates with community to justify it and allocate fewer emotes to new startup affiliates --- this would also discourage people making affiliate accounts just to make a set of 3 personal "vanity" emotes: its more beneficial that those slots go to the affiliates who have some viewers and subscribers.

    For example, possibility would be:

To unlock first Tier1 emote - Reach 15 sub points.
Clawback: Affiliates with currently no subs other than themself who never reached 15 lose existing emotes.

To unlock a second Tier1 emote - Reach Level2 affiliate status.
To unlock a third Tier1 emote - Reach Level3 affiliate status.
To unlock fourth and final Tier1 emote - Reach Level4 affiliate status.
To unlock one Tier2 emote - Be a Level2 affiliate, Reach 30 total sub points and at least 5 Tier2 subscribers
Clawback: Affiliates with currently no tier2 subs lose their existing emote slot.

To unlock first Tier3 emote - Reach Level3 affiliate status and at least 1 Tier3 sub.
Clawback: Affiliates with currently no Tier3 subs lose their existing emote slot.

    Tier1 Affiliate - Base level
Viewers can only gift or subscribe at Tier1 until after "level2 affiliate" is earned

Tier2 Affiliate- Maintain 30 or more unique subscribers for 60 consecutive days and 20/more avg. concurrent viewers over 60 days.

Viewers can only subscribe/gift at Tier1 or Tier2 until after "level3 affiliate" is earned
Tier3 Affiliate- 90 Subs for 60 days and 40/more avg concurrent viewers over 60 days.

Tier4 Affiliate- 200 or more subs for 60 days and 60/more avg concurrent viewers over 60 days.

    Relevant Update  ·  Twitch responded

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.

Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.

In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.

We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

The actions such as blocking a user completely from even Read-Only access to stream and chat are extremely severe and unreasonable for mere chat rule-breaking --- Twitch broadcasts are supposed to be public content. I believe these options should only be available to Twitch site admin staff, and only in response to a serious Twitch ToS violation such as harassment has been reported that would warrant suspending the user from all access.
