I've seen it listed before long ago, but I wanted to make sure it was known that it is still be wanted. Most streamers on this platform are very small, ads are a constant nuisance, and streamers are constantly trying to find ways around them with I know at least some (myself included) who refuse to accept affiliate or other because of the ads.

As such, the idea is the following: Have tiers where the streamer can pay to not have ads for the month. Simple.

If a streamer has 5-10 people average in their stream, chances are Twitch is making fractions of pennies on those ad views. Instead of bothering with that and then calculating how to divide $0.000001, set up levels where the streamer can pay for those ads each month. It could even work for a big streamer who is doing a charity event, they could pre-pay for total ad cost which would actually make Twitch money as they don't need to do any 'profit share', or they could say "Hey, we hit the goal of $250,000 a month from subs alone! So I'm going to put $100,000 back into the stream and we will have a month without ads!" That last one is pretty doubtful, but I'm sure there is a big streamer somewhere that would appreciate their community to do something like that.

But in reality, I think this would just be a solution for smaller or midsized streamers who are okay with dumping money into their streams because it's something they do for fun and engagement. The tiers or breakdowns could be something like: Averaging 1-10 people, $5 a month. 11-20 people: $8 a month, 21-40 people: $15 a month, etc. You could put in a cap at some point of how high for viewers, but the general idea is there. Honestly, Twitch would actually make profit here by not needing to rely on 5 people to not immediately close a small streamer as soon as ads hit, and the streamer can get the benefits of being an affiliate without needing their 5 viewers to get hit with 20 minutes of ads per stream.

Case in point, personal anecdote: I know ads are the big thing from me ever accepting affiliate, even if I have only a dozen or couple dozen people watching I simply refuse to inflict ads onto that small of a group. I'd benefit nothing and they'd be resentful or leave. So if I could just pay, all of our lives are easier.
