Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown. You can find out more information here: https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1603148201489580032

Basically: As is the "Streamer has gone live" notification often either comes too late (I once had one pop in 4 hours and 59 minutes after the stream already started) or disappears before it's noticed.
So my idea is a new option under (User) Settings → Notifications: "Keep Live Notifications".
Default: Off
When turned On, any live notification that times out will be instead stocked in the top bar's Notifications → My Twitch and would be automatically deleted after 24 hours or if the stream ended. Why is that? I'm very tired of missing some streams I eagerly waited to watch because twitch doesn't keep those notifications up long enough.

We’ve discussed an idea like this a few times internally and are considering supporting it in a 2021 release. Thank you for the request.

Twitch is really bad with their offensive on advertisement. Rather than improve the experience, they make it outright abusive. Youtube has a better deal overall, isn't as aggressive, and Youtube Premium not only removes ads but also has an option for a family package so other connected accounts gets no ads for less.
