We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.
An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedBanning a user totally from the channel will not help him/her to feel the consequences of wrongdoing. Their being able to view the channel but unable to follow, sub or chat might cause them to seriously think of all they have lost and motivate them to turn to doing what is right. That should be the reason any streamer bans a user and all benefit when they have learned their lesson and come back.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedReally, I think permanent emotes should belong to subscribers, but I'm not against sub emotes and channel emotes being available for far longer than they are now, especially to long time followers who at least try sometimes to give monetary support to a streamer and to long time followers who care to regularly watch the stream and interact. You never know when a long time follower will be able to monetarily support a streamer.
An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedI think permanent emotes really should only be for subscribers, but do think emotes should be given for far longer than they are now and by more means than channel points. You never know when a long time fully engaging follower will be able to subscribe or at least be able to monetarily support a streamer sometimes. There should be rewards even before someone donates.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedTwitch need to stop letting streamers ban someone for "any reason". That just leave too much room for someone to be unjustly banned.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedI support this. If a streamer has gotten complaints about content or how a stream is handled in his/her streams, this feature may give evidence of such complaints. It might also prompt streamers to ask viewers more often about what is/ isn't liked about a stream. But those disliking a stream should be required to list a good reason.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedExactly right. Being allowed to view the chat will let them know what their bad conduct has caused them to lose. This can move them to give up trolling/spamming. Someone who stops spamming/trolling would be a force for good in anyone's stream, including the channel they were banned from, assuming the broadcaster/mods who banned him/her are the forgiving kind.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedBut by adding different content on different tiers you would be, in effect, punishing those on Tier 2 who can not afford to pay for the content they may want to see that is on Tier 3. Live Streams are things all supporters would want to see and should be seeing. Patreon is disrespectful towards those of little financial means. They do not consider someone a patron unless they give monthly. Some just can't do that.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedEven a $1 sub should have access to emotes or sub only chats. There might be people who can only do this amount.

An error occurred while saving the comment RivrprncessLori commentedWhispers should be disabled from chat-banned users only after they have been told why they were banned/length of ban, been given at least two chances to appeal this and the appeal has been heard and a decision reached. Streamers could have certain times they will announce that mods will allow whispers from banned users in case any want to ask to be let back in.

Not a good option since many streamers would never release the videos to the public, same as Patreon. It is extremely painful for many viewers who can't pay for every video to be kept from watching videos. And it is insensitive to their situation. It would result in many choosing to just stay off the stream, which would lose money for the streamer.
