Chat Verification Criteria should also prevent users from following Regarding chat verification, it is good that you can set it to email/phone verification if an account is newer than a certain period of time, however I have confirmed that while this prevents an account from chatting, this does not prevent an account from following a channel without verifying.
In the past I have been harassed by people (and seen people harassed) by users who never said a word in chat. Their method of harassment would be to create an account with revealing information about the streamer and simply hit follow. They would be banned, however the account would be…

Logging Messages Caught in the Suspicious User feature Please log the held restricted/monitored messages from suspicious users like automod comments are logged.
Due to the nature of a lot of traffic in large channels, messages in the Suspicious Users widget in mod view expire leaving banned users logs empty with only the message prompting you to go to the mod view widget and who banned them.
This potential oversight not logging the actual message could lead to another mod seeing a user banned for no reason if the banning mod fails to leave a mod comment or the offenders username isn't an obvious tell to a ban evader.

Change the Telephone requirements - Verified Accounts Only Chat The new restrictions on verified chat requires using a personal mobile number only??? You want me to expose my personal mobile number to being hacked or used for your marketing purposes? I have a VOIP number associated with my my email and mobile number for the purpose of keeping things separated that I have used for SEVEN YEARS for security purposes. It is a shame that you don't respect your user's privacy and security. The recent hack of Twitch is proof I don't want you to have my personal mobile number. You need to change the requirement, since I have…

Please Allow the term "Transsexual" in tags and titles for streamers hello! the word transsexual is currently disallowed from appearing in titles, tags, or go live messages. i assume you at twitch have experienced feedback that the term is outmoded, offensive, or superseded by other words; perhaps also you're responding to the use of the term in adult material. i must urge and entreat you to reconsider on both counts! the term transsexual will celebrate a century of use since it's coining in 1923, and to many its not outmoded or offensive -- it's simply what we are. i'm one! my friends are transsexuals, the queens who i grew up with…

Also updating the Ban function to require a reason for Ban. Just a check list.e.g. if someone comes into my channel that has been banned from another channel i can see that they have been banned for Harassment or Spamming
Will allow Mods to keep an eye on users bouncing from channel to channel

Apply the longest duration timeout rather than overriding the previous. It is a common occurrence for moderators to judge transgressions differently from each other, or from the broadcaster, and apply different timeout lengths. I feel moderators could benefit from having the timeout duration for the specified user not overridden by subsequent timeouts, but rather have a notice given to the mods specifying the remaining timeout for that person.

Shared Ban List User Limit Increase With the new Shared Listing rolling out, I immediately can see the 30 user limit being way too small for some communities, especially those with active-vigilant mod teams that are interconnected and share user information with one another. If the server is able to support it, raising it to 50 and steadily into 75 would be amazing just so we can have a larger network of mod support- and for the sake of sentiment, we look like we're even more supportive of each other :)

Permit Users in chat Having the ability to easily and quickly permit links from users would be a great help. Most of us use bots like Nightbot, Moobot, Streamlabs/Elemets to deal with links in chat we don't want and auto block them but with BTTV we were able to click on a user name and clikc !permit for that user.
My idea is that either add that feature to Mod View when we clikc a name or better yet, force Auto Mod to grab the links first and then allow mods to permit it if we so desire. This then give the user who…

ban evasion When a user is flagged as a possible ban evader in the mod tools, can we have it show the linked accounts that set off the alert for possible ban evasion?

Prevent Unverified Users without a phone number added to their account from following your channel. Prevent Unverified Users without a phone number added to their account from following your channel. This setting should be toggle-able by the streamer in the Dashboard and will prevent follow bots from spamming your stream with follows from unverified, brand new accounts that were generated with scripts.

Auto-Deny Unban Requests I see how the unban request option can be helpful, especially in the situation of accidental bans/misunderstandings, but many bans that are carried out are intentional and for outright hateful behavior, and the unban requests associated with those are usually filled with more hateful speech that mods and streamers shouldn't be exposed to.
It would be very helpful to have an option when banning to say "this was intentional and we don't need any further contact with this user"28 votesThanks for the request. This was actually our first idea too, but it’s been difficult to think of a way to do it without making the Ban flow too complicated, especially for Mods who are currently using the Mod Action buttons next to messages to Ban.

Show banned/timeout messages under 'bans' and 'timeouts' tabs. It would be very useful if mod logs showed timeout and banned messages under the 'bans' and 'timeouts' tabs so mods don't have to scroll forever though their messages trying to find why a user had a past ban or timeout. Since mods can't put a reason why someone is banned or timed out for every user they moderate. Especially in a high traffic stream.

Create a banned words folder within the AutoMod ruleset to safeguard streamers using specific tags When we use tags on Twitch, it can and has alerted trolls to the streamer. This does not make the streamer themselves feel safeguarded. Now while it is known that this is not the easiest. It might be an idea to try this out:
For each tag, create a moderation kit/folder which contains grouped banned words that can be automatically added to the streamers automod ruleset list. What this will do is auto filter and timeout trolls that come into the streamers channel.
An example would be:
Black Tag - This folder would contain common racial slurs along with different…26 votes -
Automatically stop chat scrolling when mod icons are hovered I sometimes accidentally delete the wrong message through the mod icon when the chat scrolls up one message right before I click. I think stopping the chat for a mod when he hovers a mod icon for a specific message would improve the modding experience.

Fix "Opt out of globally banned words filter" There is a checkbox in "Channel & Videos" tab of your channel settings, called "Opt out of globally banned words filter".
I had it enabled since I started streaming a month ago. And today I discovered, that it does not work - some words, like "tranny" for example, are still replaces with asterisks to everyone else in chat. I was disappointed.
I despise any form of censorship. When I come to other streams and I see their chat rules "Be nice, no spam..." - I respect the rules. Its their choice. Why can't Twitch respect my own choice to treat…

Nega-VIP "Problem user" mod-visible chat badge or flag I would love to have a toggle-able chat badge or flag we mods could use to mark people that warrant extra watching. New chatters who set our troll senses tingling, or folks who have said problematic but not ban-worthy things, for example. Like the negative equivalent of a VIP badge. The badges would need to be removable, for people who turn out to be okay after all.
Some problem users disappear when timed out, then show up later after we've forgotten about them or when different mods are around. A chat badge would let them stand out instantly. And paired…24 votes -
Flag mass messages based on similarity (Raids) An option to mass-flag when messages of the similar nature hit the chat.
Options needed: Check for "similar messages" and flag after x messages
This will be helpful for unwelcomed raids.
Yes, this will also hit "friendly raids" as well but it gives the power to the caster to remove hatful/unwanted messages from the stream before it even hits it.23 votes -
Improvements to monitor and restrict tools for general use I really like the new monitor and restrict tools introduced today for ban evasion detection! I did some testing of using monitor and restrict for general moderation, and there are three improvements that would dramatically improve their usability and impacts:
Please add the ability to add a reason for monitoring a user's messages, the same way that /timeout and /ban have a [reason] field. This will let other mods know what kind of monitoring they should be doing. An example for how I would like to use this is: a user who is toeing the lines of rules in the…

Linking chat history when a user changes their name for Mods There is a glaring loophole in chat history logging that has been present for years since the chat logging system started. It involves changing your name via Twitch's name change feature. Once someone has changed their name, you can no longer reliably pull up their entire chat history. It is effectively halted for the old name, and wiped for the new name so long as you do not have their original name.
I'll try to explain this as simple as I can.
Let's say I have actual years of chat logs under the name "desertp" on "examplechannel"
