How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. I am a Mod in a couple of channels and I do take moderation very seriously. I also try to keep Twitch a safe place, as much as possible.

    What happened:
A streamer I mod for was the victim of insults and hateful speech yesterday (June the 11th 2024). The perpetrator was reported by myself and other Mods of the victim. The insults/speech were done during the perpetrators stream. They were live at the same time as the victim. (no VOD)

In less than a minute after the report, I have already received an answer from Twitch, that no violation…

  2. How is it a half naked woman can play a stream where she literally has the game playing on her **** cheek or her ****** not be considered sexual content and yet a male identified or looking person gets stream taken down because they have their shirt off?

You are incentivizing such content as they get massive viewer numbers for something which is obviously meant to be ****.

  4. I am a new user and read the rules for chatting on the Main Twitch Channel. I was watching HCS today and did not break any of the rules. The moderators timed me out and then for 30 minutes for expressing that they timed me out for no reason. This is unacceptable. You must allow abusive moderators to be held accountable. We must be able to submit reports or defenses for abusive moderators.

  7. I noticed my report user flagging is being consistently turned down lately.
But when a user in chat calls the streamer '**' and 'filthy **' in German I fail to understand why that that doesn't constitute a violation of TOS.

For reference I'm commenting on this report to Twitch (but also several before in the last months) :
    "Report ID: 115854159

You have submitted a safety report that is covered under the Digital Services Act (DSA) of the EU. We have reviewed the content against our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and/or local law, and determined that no…

  8. There are several compelling reasons why Twitch should reinstate Polish-language customer support:

Language Accessibility: Providing support in a user's native language greatly enhances their experience. Many Polish users may not be fluent in English, and having support in their native language ensures clearer communication and problem resolution.
Cultural Understanding: Localized support teams understand cultural nuances and regional trends, leading to more empathetic and relevant responses. This helps Twitch build a stronger community among Polish users.
Growing Polish User Base: Poland has a significant and growing number of Twitch users and streamers. Offering support in Polish is a reflection of Twitch's…

  10. A stream should not be stuck on "Interal Error" when trying to report a stream for being anti-LGBTQIA+, discriminating, stigmatizing, being racist, being violent, so on and so forth.

I am unable to report a streamer for being extremely transphobic and anti-LGBTQIA+, I have reported some of her mods and have gotten one banned already along with a few chatters.

The report function is so annoying to use after typing up about 4 to 5 paragraphs to the point where clicking "Report" and not being able to successfully report the stream because it says "Internal Error"

    Do Twitch Staff applications…

  11. I decided to load up twitch to find something/someone to watch. Upon loading the Twitch.tv homepage I'm blasted with a stream at the top where you essentially get the stream play without loading into that person specifically. Anyway the point is that this specific person is just continuously non stop swearing with constant F*, C* and all sorts before going on to rip into disabled people. Luckily I didn't have it loaded on the television with any kids in the room. I don't blame the streamer for their content more so twitch for putting this sort of content…

  12. we need mod protection from the streamer before twitch takes action. false reporting to twitch is a big issue and viewers and bots alike dont like when a mod does something so they report them direct to twitch.... that should be screened by the streamer before twitch and make it up to the streamer to forward the report to twitch

  13. Allow streamers To send Recorded streams to the devs or the mods for their defense against wrongful reporting from non- streamers looking to cause problems.

  14. A notorious DDoS/DOX'er troll has been plaguing many different games long enough to warrant this thread. He's pretty good at it, I'll give him that, but hitting us all offline constantly IS a felony, and incredibly annoying. He's known as 'nan0,' but has made thousands of accounts over the years, getting around streamer IP masking and VPN protections somehow just to troll streamers.

He goes into your chats with new accounts, waits for you to queue into matchmaking, snipes you, gets your IP, and hits you offline. He's not the only one, but he's the best I've come across since…

  15. It would be ideal if Twitch set a tax, a fine for people who get banned that varies based on the ban. Each ban level is assigned a monetary value that the streamer must pay. I think this allows Twitch to ensure a cleaner platform and reduce bans

  16. My suggestion would be that within the moderation rank 2 ranks could be established, chief moderator rank and moderator rank so that the moderators can be controlled and be able to delete or put timeout if necessary.

  17. It would be great to bring back the Global Moderator program. I think it would keep streams a safer space, especially for newer streamers who do not need a full time mod but someone to shout people out or to handle unruly chat.

  18. The premise is simple: If someone is getting banned on the Twitch platform 5, 6, even 7 times within the span of 1 year for violating the Twitch Terms of Service, regardless of their partner or non-partner status, that user is a liability to the safety and integrity of the Twitch platform, brand, and image.

Under a new "3 strikes, you're out" permanent ban system, all users, regardless of partner or non-partner status, are equally given up to three (3) account bans within a span of three (3) years, at which time that user will receive a permanent ban from…

  19. i wish that "user" in Twitch Community Guideline includes broadcasters [including Twitch Ambassadors], moderators and their "communities", and that contracts signed to abide Twitch Community Guidelines are legal binding.

a victim who is outnumbered by pre-credible bullies is a victim whether those bullies believe otherwise or not.

how is Twitch a safe platform for everyone, when a victim turns to people in positions to help for help and those people laugh them off out of hand?

why are you so focused on protecting a broadcaster, their moderators and their "communities" from a viewer and not focused on protecting a viewer…
