  2. I am hoping to clarify, distinguish, and point out a certain aspect of this Shared Account Ban tool may prevent repeat harassers, but also enable abusers to further bully and cancel victims. I have so much empathy for the girls on Twitch that face mean usernames every day, these usernames being banned almost constantly in their chat, but have also faced this hate as their viewer. Mods are no exemption to abuse, and I have more than ten screenshots of absolutely horrible things mods have said to me, after I would appeal bans from out of the blue. This new…

  3. Unlike English, Japanese does not leave a space between each word, so even if you try to mute a word, it will not work if a word follows it.
    For example
Mute "兄" (brother): "兄貴" (brother) will not be muted.
Mute "こんにちは"(Hello ): "こんにちは、お元気ですか" (Hello, how are you?) will not be muted.
We would like to be able to mute the text even if it continues.

  4. Twitch has become a cesspool of creeps and weirdos.. Twitch needs to protect their streamers. There is many ways things can be started.
Give streamers better ways to mask their identities.
Hook up with online harassment and government groups.

Twitch is owned by Amazon and amazon has meta data on all its users inorder to help the authorities find these creeps!!
Meta data IE: Usernames, emails, ips, even ring data..

I’m not very smart but things are getting extremely weird on some of these streams..

  5. Some moderators could abuse mod tools for no reasons. Take a look from some Discord servers when there no moderation control inside. I would Twitch could be more restrictive about how Mods should work and how to ban properly an toxic user. This suggestion could fit in any social medias cases. We would be hear and respect at any kind.

Ban a user just because he was autistic, could lead an mod abuse and be sanctionable for example.

I would too see Social Medias more conscious about how they manage their product. We got some mods issues on the rival…

  6. There are some terms that you just DON'T WANT in your chat, so you block them, but then a mod could come in and still use it...
My suggestion is that something like a checkbox or a dropdown is added to the Blocked Terms manager that denotes whether mods, vips, subs, etc can use a blocked term.

For example, you may be ok with only mods being able to use the F word, but you REALLY don't want ANYONE to use the C, N or R words, not even mods.

  7. Stream team members can opt in to share their ban list with everyone on their team. Have them friend the group and have to group gather all the bans that your other team members already done.

Just like sharing some info with them like statistics.

It would be much easier for the mods to just group ban people in stream teams as well.

A Team of Moderation with a scaling group of slots depending on team members active.

  8. For streamers and moderators, the ability to add highlighted notes to users' nicks to remember important information they once shared.
Like gender, birthdays, pets, favorite things...
I'm a costreamer with my husband and a moderator of his live and others and I really miss it.

  9. As streamer and moderator we often have unwanted people polluting the chat. It would be nice to be able to cut off a viewer's ability to write in the chat. (Mute/Unmute) on a viewer without banning them. There are a lot of people (autistic, intellectually disabled) who are not bad, but they can tire others in the long run. It would be good to put them on mute but let them stay and enjoy.

  10. There needs to be an option to choose what powers moderators get. Training a new mod? give them only the ability to delete messages and give timeouts. One of your mods bans people too easily? Take away their ability to ban people. This needs to be more granular.

  11. I think this feature would be more helpful if moderators could also send requests and accept them on behalf of their content creators. As it is now, content creators have to do all of the work and some just want to game and let their mods do it.

  12. Similar to how we now have a list of banned users, could there be a list for streamers that have, either past or present, behaved suspiciously/may be predatory/is a known sex offender/etc?

  13. I am a moderator of a channel of an Italian streamer, I noticed that something is missing in the user history and in the readmission requests due to a ban.
    here's what I propose:

-in requests for readmission, following rejection or approval, the message from the user left during the request and the message after the evaluation of the creator or moderator should be recorded and accessible from the user history (/ user)

  14. The New Shared Ban Info feature should have a section to show the reasoning of the ban in a channel so the mods know exactly why the user is suspicious. It makes it difficult for us mods to know why the user is banned if the reason is only being shown in the chat they were banned in and not the suspicious user box in our chat.

  15. I would like to see an option to choose a different default setting on a shared channel basis.
Different channels and communities punish people for different reasons. Especially if you are a long time member or a mod in several communities you most likely know the different criterias each uses. You might not be as strict yourself as one streamer and you might be more strict than another.
Being able to choose the default correctly per shared channel there is a bigger chance to be right from the start with the default setting for your stream instead of changing it…

  16. With the new Shared Listing rolling out, I immediately can see the 30 user limit being way too small for some communities, especially those with active-vigilant mod teams that are interconnected and share user information with one another. If the server is able to support it, raising it to 50 and steadily into 75 would be amazing just so we can have a larger network of mod support- and for the sake of sentiment, we look like we're even more supportive of each other :)

  17. The new suspicious user feature is great, but there one huge downside which ends up making me having to ban.

When a user is marked as a suspicious user, they still have the ability to spam redeem channel points redemptions and the message saying "You message has been held due to channel moderation settings" causes a barrage of messages saying "hey I cant type in chat" etc etc etc.

PLEASE make it so suspicious users are UNAWARE they can't chat & don't allow suspicious users (& non followers) to spam redeem channel points.

Please! This would help out small streamers…

  18. Twitch, please bring back the feature that removed someone from your followers list if they were banned from chat. This was so handy at slowing down harassers/bots, and I'm not sure why they went back on it.

Secondly, if it's possible, please implement a tool that will permanently kick someone off your channel page/redirect them to elsewhere. Maybe an error page that says "Sorry, this page doesn't exist", or a black screen over the stream and chat so it's no longer visible to the person who was banned.

  19. So I am a mod for a streamer and we had a situation that there was someone that knew the streamer irl and the streamer preferred for them to not watch their stream. It would be great if there was a feature to restrict them from watching.

This can also help on restricting known doxxers from doxxing streamers if the streamer knows their accounts.

  20. When someone is reported for whatever conduct they are reported for Twitch, staff should have a way to see all the accounts chat logs for other streams and handle accordingly. Since Mods have chat logs within streams I would expect something similar that can flag their comments in all streams when banned as their chat logs are still active even when banned and it'll be easier to compile if needed to report to said agencies. I mention this as when I have reported over hundred pedophiles on Twitch trying to groom and exploit kids, you see their comments in a…
