Soundtrack blocks audio after Reconnection in OBS
I am in Germany and internet crashes frequently but always reconnects fast. When the internet crashes Soundtrack by Twitch (beta) stops playing music and when OBS reconnects to Twitch it continues to play music for me. However, the process that keeps Soundtrack from the VoDs prevents all audio from being streamed to Twitch after OBS continues the stream. Obviously i can restart OBS and it will work again, but this creates problems for viewers who are lurking and come back to a stream offline or other error and i sometimes lose 3-4 lurkers who just check back in every once in a while.
To re-iterate, Internet crashes frequently and when it reconnects no audio is transmitted to Twitch due to the way Soundtrack by Twitch is setup. Audio is however on VoD without music after reconnect...its just the actual stream that cannot hear or see. Tested it with another account and could indeed not hear stream, but watching the VoD there is audio but thankfully no music from Soundtrack.
I had this exact same issue for a while until my internet issues were fixed. I would not recommend using Twitch Soundtrack as an option if you have frequent internet drops. I once had OBS completely lock up due to this issue. A stable internet connection is pretty much mandatory.
Correct on VoD Track being the issue, because funny enough...even though viewers cannot hear me, the VoD will have me on it...
I've had something similar to this problem, but via OBS Studio (this has also happened in OBS Live) where when OBS loses connection to twitch, upon reconnection it Mutes ALL audio coming on my end. I looked on the OBS forum and users said it was tied to the Twitch VOD track, so I'm wondering if the secondary VOD audio is what's causing your problem as well with soundtrack.
Ironically, when I broadcasted live on YouTube, and experienced a similar interruption, NO AUDIO PROBLEMS occurred at all. So it has to be something being blocked on Twitch's end, not OBS.
