  1. This suggestion is based on PositiveIona's idea at https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/933812-safety/suggestions/44529945-sans-serif-fonts

However, the suggestion to use serif-fonts to resolve the lower case 'l' vs upper case 'I' problem (to clarify the first one is an 'L' and the second one is an 'i') will make the platform less accessible for certain people, ESPECIALLY those with dyslexia. So you'd just be replacing one problem with an entirely new one.

I'd like to propose that, instead of adding serifs, we should find a font that distinguishes the letters more clearly whilst still being sans-serif.
Some examples include: Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet, or Open-Dyslexic; though I'm…

  2. When a streamer is suspended or banned, that streamer has no idea what the actual violation was and when it took place.

The violation is too vague and doesn't offer any specific details to the streamer and they have no idea when the specific violation took place. This is something streamers need so they don't make the same mistake again. If the TOS and Community Violations are being clarified, the same should go for the reason why a streamer was banned.

A clearer understanding of the rules should come with a clearer understanding of when a violation occurred and will…

  3. First off I wanna thank RekItRaven for Shedding so much light on this issue that has been occurring for years. I have just started streaming 8 months ago and this is my 4th time this year getting hate raided. I’ve been called almost everything in the book. Now I have several ideas on how to make this better but for starters. You Need to obey the Blocked/Banned Order. Anyone who is Blocked Or Banned should not be able to Hate watch us thus risking another hate raid whether that be in the form of bullying or racism. 2. Have Better…

  4. As a streamer and avid Twitch viewer, there are many community members who do not seem to understand the "unwritten rules" of Twitch. It would be lovely to have a resource or link to direct these people to. Perhaps an informative hub similar to the help center but focused on interpersonal conduct. Videos, articles, etc.

    Some of the things observed:
    - A user entering chat and stating they are underage (less than 13 for TOS violation, less than 18 in mature channels)
    - Asking for mod privledges
    - Asking for a gift sub
    - First message in a channel: "Can…

  5. Anonymous sub-gifts should be able to be seen by the Streamer so they can determine if a ban should be possible. A female streamer I watch is being harrassed through Anonymous gifted subs to Twitch names of a sexual nature as well as threatening names of physical harm. Let me be clear, this isn't in the TTS message, it's an actual Twitch account name being used to target and harass her. There needs to be a better way to report these people, ban their card use by Twitch, or prevent them from gifting by the streamer. This is a literal…

  6. When I logged on to twitch.tv today, on the homepage was an NSFW stream thumbnail. When clicking on the stream, the stream is tagged as "Significant Profanity or Vulgarity, Sexual Themes", so Twitch knows it's profane and sexual.

Yet the thumbnail, which was of a woman with NSFW-amounts of clothing on, was the first thing on the site. There should not be NSFW thumbnails on the homepage of twitch.tv, unless I explicitly click on the stream.

  7. Allow nudity or at least partial nudity like other social media apps like Twitter,Instagram, YouTube ect. The majority of Twitch users are now over 18 years old according to recent data (Links Below), and adding 18+ content could expand user base IMO
    https://www.streamscheme.com/twitch-statistics/
    https://www.businessofapps.com/data/twitch-statistics/

As for users under 18, Twitch can add strict age verification rules, All Korean streaming sites already do this & 18+ content can be demonetized like YouTube does with adult content, if advertisers have a problem with their ads running on any of the content. Also it's important to note that apps like Twitter have had…

  8. I'm so sick of streamers getting permanently banned (indefinite suspension) after 1 thing and never getting anything back from twitch as far as an explanation or response to an appeal. I have seen people lose their passion and dream over the ridiculous moderation and support team. There is no reason people should be waiting 5 months for a response from twitch.

Just recently my fiance was banned for something that he blatantly didn't do. He was banned for BAN EVASION when he never even had an account before the one that was banned. It's absolutely ridiculous.

    I continue to lose…

  9. it happens too much on this platform, streamers like sodapoppin directly insult viewers claiming his viewers are "retards and losers"
well, its not pleasant experience hearing those things and if someone is disabled in someway might even feel sad or depressed hearing it

  10. Twitch has become known for giving sexually explicit streamers not only special treatment when it comes to moderation but when it comes to rule enforcement as well. There are tons of examples of streamers being banned 5+ times for sexual content and still only getting 2 day bans max. It would be nice if twitch didn't turn their site into a hotspot for **** addicts. If twitch wants to go in the direction of being an alternative to chaturbate or pornhub live then put that into a separate site and don't lump those "creators" in with everyone else who just…

  12. With the new Nudity & NSFW content guidelines, it has made it very unclear to a lot of people in my community, the VRChat Roleplay community, whether or not furry models and/or avatars are under the same level of scrutiny as human avatars are.

On April 4, 2020, these rules were put into effect:

How do the new rules about AR Avatars impact my content if I stream a virtual reality sandbox game like VRChat?
    - Our policy on Augmented Reality avatars applies to content where cameras and software are used to capture a person’s physical likeness and translate it…

  13. Every game that is released is released with an ESRB rating determining its appropriateness for various audiences. Twitch already collects these ratings when they add new games to the platform.

Now streamers have the option to turn a "Mature" warning for their content, but rarely is a streamers content always Mature, or always all-ages-friendly.

Given that Twitch has this information, it would be a great help to many if depending on which category you are streaming to, it automatically enables or disables the Mature filter based on the ESRB rating of the game.

For non-gaming categories, some could easily be…

  14. We get the initial notice that we've made a report and that's great. What we don't have is any resolution. We are left in the dark as to any actions or if the report was even looked at.
It would be nice to have a follow up email letting us know that someone has at least read the report and acted (even inaction) ala the vague wrap up email.

"Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We've initiated an investigation based on the information that you provided and we'll take appropriate action based on our findings. Please note…

  15. sometimes bots or maybe some random report could get an account banned. seems like out of nowhere, but the community wants to help for appeal but what if they arent getting heard? what if they were just brushed under the rug and not looked upon? how serious are things being taken into account? What is one streamer to All of Twitch?

The Community should be able to help the streamer push for an appeal, push to be seen, to be noticed. Answers need answering, we are all people too, Small streamers, big streamers, we should be equal for support. But…

  16. I can report a Streamer. But I miss the report reason "Online Grooming". In addition, it should be possible to report not only streamers, but also users in the chat.
Twitch is full of adults who cavort in streams of minors and there demand ****** things from the children.
I know you have to be 13 to stream on Twitch. It is also correct that younger streamers are banned. But mostly only the young streamers are banned, and the groomers continue to mess around .

Most groomers ask about private social media. Most often Snapchat, Tiktok, Instagram.
    Then it is…

  17. The current banning system is hugely flawed due to trolls being able to hide behind a VPN and create hundreds of new accounts, it does literal nothing to protect streamers against a persistent troll.

Instead Twitch needs to have it so that anyone who uses their services agrees to the logging of their Device ID and and bans are logged against that Device and not the IP. This way troll maybe has 2/3 devices he/she can use but certainly not hundreds!

  18. With the wave of mass-deletion we have found that the methods for reviewing DMCA claims and taking appropriate action has been like trying to change a light bulb with no hands.

    I propose:

Since all deleted content is held in archives, it should become viewable to only the streamer who can selectively re-publish content that does not have DMCA strikes. Furthermore, they can take action to mute content, appeal or delete the content totally.

Any content with a DMCA strike goes into the "hidden" directory that the creator can access. They will then have some options for how to handle…

  20. There needs to be a way to completely ban a user from entering your channel and seeing your profile/streams. There's been a Twitch partner that's been straight up stalking me and they do nothing about it. The most I can do is ban him from the chat. It doesn't stop him from showing up when I stream (which makes me feel extremely uncomfortable), or when I'm hosting someone.
