  1. I occasionally see streamers who promote therapy or claim to have mental health issues, when they really are not qualified to be involving themselves in such matters. Even worse are the situations where it's clear (or it cannot really be verified) that a streamer is claiming to have a problem, just so they can solicit for subs/donations/boost their social media presence.

I think the topic of mental health is just too personal and risky for someone with no background in treating mental illness (or appears to be pan-handling) to be discussing on their channel. I think beyond telling a viewer…

  2. Hello Twitch!
I've recently heard the wonderful news that you're banning derogatory language such as 'simp' and 'incel'. This means a lot to me, since it’s obviously very harmful language, but I feel you're leaving out a big offender with those cases. I would be happy to see people stop using 'noob' to insult people. It is in all circumstances used offensively, making people not want to play the game. Personally, I have been called this many times, even when I haven't been a new player in a game. It always hurts my feelings and it cuts really deep. Some…

  3. Words. Language. The way in which we communicate our thoughts and feelings. Twitch seems to want to continue to ban more and more words. When does it stop? What does Twitch look like in 2024? Can anyone say anything without being in fear of being banned? How long do big streamers stay on a platform that curbs their freedom to express themselves? I simply inquire where it stops.

  4. As a streamer and avid Twitch viewer, there are many community members who do not seem to understand the "unwritten rules" of Twitch. It would be lovely to have a resource or link to direct these people to. Perhaps an informative hub similar to the help center but focused on interpersonal conduct. Videos, articles, etc.

    Some of the things observed:
    - A user entering chat and stating they are underage (less than 13 for TOS violation, less than 18 in mature channels)
    - Asking for mod privledges
    - Asking for a gift sub
    - First message in a channel: "Can…

  5. Usually if you want draw or build something, there is good chance for some time, nude parts can visible. Especially 3D modelling, you must sometimes zoom in for good detailwork, but yeah, some avatars starts naked and then slowly covered with clothes.

Of course we dont play with nude parts, its part of building process. Hope ToS can makes it clear and allow the artwork with drawings and 3D work.

  6. Why is this policy not being enforced now? Why are you waiting until January to roll this out? We have streamers who are still getting hate raided, harassed, and being non stop targeted by trolls and many of the content creators being subjected to this are BIPOC and it isn't right. What is your reasoning for not rolling this out right now when it is needed?

  7. Twitch needs an algorithm similar to tiktok or YouTube to reccomend creators to viewers based on analytics. To improve visibility and exposure for new content creators. Also we need an appeal process for dmca and other reportable offenses such as offensive and racially insensitive languages. Its not uncommon for other player in game to use such language or have loud music coming in through their microphones. Conduct not originating from the creator should not be grounds for community guidlines violations.

  8. A lot of my reports are a big deal because the same 3 people keep harassing and telling terrible things to a child that is in my stream. And they go about there way to follow said child to streams to harass. What will be done so this doesn't happen in the future.

  9. sometimes bots or maybe some random report could get an account banned. seems like out of nowhere, but the community wants to help for appeal but what if they arent getting heard? what if they were just brushed under the rug and not looked upon? how serious are things being taken into account? What is one streamer to All of Twitch?

The Community should be able to help the streamer push for an appeal, push to be seen, to be noticed. Answers need answering, we are all people too, Small streamers, big streamers, we should be equal for support. But…

  10. For quite a while now, I have seen too many people smoking/vaping publicly on Twitch.
I have to keep adding them to the "Not interested section as it's REALLY uncomfortable. I have a friend who smokes, but whenever my friend does, he ALWAYS turns of his camera.
People who watch those streams could end up smoking/vaping too from following the streamers footsteps. I mean, children at the age of 13 could be watching them and get the wrong ideas. Please change it so it is more balanced and safer.

  11. You are experiencing a backlash regarding your nonsensical attire rules because you are so out of touch. Drop them, modern platforms must be the bastions of free expression and not support outrageous suppression of expression.

The only restriction necessary to comply with general law is that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to expose themselves in a ****** manner. You might try to restrict content to underage users but frankly, those users interested in such content will get it and it will not appeal to those not interested. Those interested in such content are merely expressing their…

  12. So me and my friend have been wanting to play together on stream but she is an adult and I am a minor so due to you guidelines we have not been able to could this please be changed abit like you have to be over thirteen or something for it to be allowed because if you can watch it what is the difference. There really is not one so you contradict you own rules when you allow minors to watch someone curse but then when you go to play with them they get in trouble it just make no…

  13. Why don't you mix the 'Watch Parties' service and Amazon Prime Music together?

It's a service in Twitch in joint with Amazon Prime Music
so that the Creator could play a music and the only way the viewers can
listen to the music is by registering through their own Amazon Prime account.

I'm going to call this 'Tune Parties'.

For people that just listen to music during stream, the streamer plays music on the
'Tune Parties', and viewers have a option to hop in just like the current 'Watch Parties' service.

However, in case of streams of music creators who…

  15. So some friends and I have a huge passion for the outdoors and hunting. We were thinking of starting a live stream hunting channel, but I am not sure if it breaks any rules? It would be done in a safe educational way and no offense or unlawful acts would be displayed.

  18. About 2-3 days ago (as of March 9th 2021) I was streaming some twitch on Discord and wanting to see some of the just chatting. I go into different streamers streams and saw many things that would seem like it breaks Twitches TOS. Specifically I have seen female streamers wearing inappropriate clothing and not covering up those areas that males (or females) are attracted to. And the worst thing about it is that they are verified. I dont know why twitch staff verified this but I guess people just like to watch this. So I just wanted to get this…
