   I'm one of a few hundred people on Twitch who really doesn't want younger kids viewing my streams. The games I play may not be violent, but my language is salty. It is great we have a warning screen, "You know you have to be 18..blahblahblah" happening, but I want to ensure that those who have signed up for an account aren't clicking OK anyhow. I live a PG13 life, and I prefer to have my streams reflect that.

2. Ban Sponsored Gambling Streams

   Sponsored gambling streams should not be allowed on Twitch because of Twitch's policies and sponsored gambling streams effects.

   On the twitch safety center it states that community comes first and safety is personal. Allowing sponsored gambling steams on twitch goes against these policies by not first helping the community but rather turning a blind eye to them, and not the safety of those viewers as they are being exploited for profit.

   Not allowing sponsored gambling steams will stop exportation of viewers for profit. The website pays the content creator to gamble on their gambling platform. They do this to get money back from the creator's viewers from them losing money gambling on that platform. The gambling platforms know that they will return their money with a profit from the viewers of the creator. In short the gambling platform pays a creator to influence their viewers to gamble on their platform.

   In conclusion sponsored gambling streams should not be allowed on Twitch because of it's policies and how it effects their viewers safety.

3. Sexual suggestiveness out of control

   According to google and people knowledge, sexual suggestiveness is visual, verbal, written or behavioral material or action with sexual undertones implying sexual intent in order to provoke sexual arousal.

   Said that, how come your website allows people, like Amouranth for example, to stream, clearly, sexual suggestive content and not banning them properly? Besides the huge amount of money and attention that they bring to Twitch. It would be a shame if your company started to be correlated as an Open Door for children to ingress into ***********. Remembering that Twitch started and still is a streaming game domain that has direct contact with children in many ways.

   So, what about this becoming, some day in the future, a huge CNN news relating Twitch to kids watching sexual suggestive content?

   You guys need to make your mind, because this subject is becoming every time bigger and bigger. And besides the free marketing that you are earning with this right now. In the future, it's gonna cost you a lot of money. Streamers, like Asmodan (that moves around 50k viewers per stream) already said that can't work in a domain that is directly correlated with child expose to sexual suggestive content. And I'm glad with this, because, as a viewer, I definitely would support and use a stream domain that has real politics against this topic.

   As I was saying, this is a path with no return. This kind of subject is unhealthy for the community, is not good for your business and it's even terrible from a social perspective view.

   Think about it, before it gets too big to handle. Because you are no longer alone in the actual stream market and people are aware about whats happening on Twitch.

4. Number the policy/guidelines and having clear details in enforcement emails

   I have recommendations that not only helps users, but more importantly protect TWITCH itself.

   • Number the policies into clear enforceable points(e.g. policy SC-2b-iv)
   • In enforcement emails, show clear timestamps that shows the violation and quote the policy number violated using the numbering above.

   Making the policy itself is a difficult, intricate task which requires multi-faceted considerations that may be obscure to the general user. Thus I trust twitch has qualified specialists for the actual policy creation. However vague ENFORCEMENT leaves the corporate vulnerable to public image attacks that is extremely dangerous especially for a corporate which depends on advertisers. Clearly communicated, consistent enforcement will protect TWITCH, and show integrity to users, stakeholders AND advertisers.

   Numbering the policy could also help fix internal references. For instance in the Civility and Respect FAQ the "sexually suggestive content policy" is mentioned but is no longer called as such, so it can't be found easily. It could instead be a policy number hyperlink.

   Here's an example of how I would suggest enforcement:
   "Hello akuasmr. At 18:05:00 of your 12-06-24 stream, we detected "prolonged audio that implies sex" mentioned in Policy SC-2A-iii." (images: https://twitter.com/Rhubarb_314/status/1736039641726210196)

   Here I used a vague 'implication' type policy here on purpose, because it shows how it also opens the court to clear, transparent, respectful dialogue. Akuasmr can now contest upon clear understanding, instead of possibly defaming twitch on social media which would not serve twitch.

   Another positive to numbering the policies is the ability to track issues. Community strikes and bans can then be tracked by what policy violation it was based on. This could be compiled into extremely valuable feedback statistics to inform policy makers of any arising issues. For instance if there is a spike in SC-7 (Prohibited Gambling Content) violations, it can automatically raise a warning to allow moderators to take actions quickly.

   Whatever the case, I only wish the best to Twitch and all the amazing content creators on twitch.

   Regardless of where your policy makers choose to take it, I hope this suggestion will help protect the relationship between users, advertisers, shareholders and Twitch and its policy makers!

5. We need more of a strict change in the Community Guidelines for "Sexually Suggestive Content".

   I'm a streamer on this platform, and have been for quite a few years. I would like to talk about some issues that I have with the new code of conduct of community guidelines if you would give me the chance, and that would be the dress code here on twitch.

   Twitch is a platform for all who wish to voice their opinions, play games, or provide any sort of entertainment, and I'm all for supporting that. However, there is an on-going problem that I am noticing every day, and it's getting worse. I am a female streamer on twitch. I work hard to get viewers, I advertise myself, and I always try to be as engaging as possible. However what really bothers me is this dress code, or rather, the lack of enforcing of this dress code.

   There are other female streamers on this platform, and that is a great thing to have for diversity of all streamers, but what is not okay is the fact that twitch is becoming more of an "adult" streaming site. What do I mean by this? Quite simply here. In the just chatting sections, everyday, I find other female streamers who are skyrocketing to partnership, and all of their streams revolve around sexually suggestive attire, and selling lewd snap chats for subscriptions on twitch. And it's working too well.

   This kind of content is not the reason why I stream on twitch, and quite frankly it should not be allowed. Females streamers who do this are actively abusing the system by selling their bodies essentially for views, subscriptions, followers, and more. You state in your code of conduct rules that there is no under boob showing allowed, yet I see many streamers doing this, and have reported videos of violators many of times, to see nothing done about it. You state there are no ****** cams, yet there are videos of female streamers spreading their legs and putting them behind their heads to give a full on view of that region, and yet nothing has been done about it, after being reported multiple times on multiple incidents, of multiple days.

   There are many new up-and-coming female streamers who are doing this, who are easily getting partnered through staying heavily grey, or borderline breaking the code of conduct rules, especially the new community guidelines that twitch has recently updated. Cleavage should be covered up. There shouldn't be windows to your chest. There shouldn't be cameras pointed at certain regions of your body that are used for ****** purposes. There has been female streamers who are actively taking their breasts out on stream for followers, and only take a 3 day suspension, but continue to grow and unlock affiliate and partnership.

   What I also don't get is how body painting streamers are allowed to stream topless, and it's considered "art" but they paint sexually suggestive attire on their bodies, and yet STILL people are getting banned for drawing 2D female anatomy pictures, and being suspended without drawing nipples on these 2D Characters.

   I hope you understand this, and the reason why I bring this up, is because AS a female streamer, It hurts us who do not do this. It makes us all look bad. In fact, a lot of the community now EXPECTS us to follow these examples. Every time I advertise my twitch now and state that I am female, the first question I always get is if I have an onlyfans, or do I sell my pictures on snap chat, or if I'm a "***** streamer", or the classic "feet pics/bath water".

   All these derogatory remarks and harassment via my chat all because of stuff like this. It's to the point where it's driving me away from wanting to stream on twitch. What's worse, is that these streamers that I am actively reporting, are showing up in my recommendation feeds. It's a constant reminder that lewd streaming is overcoming the platform and is expected of us females in order for us to grow, and that's not the mindset I wish to take part in on twitch.

   I would like this to be addressed. I hope you read this and can help supply this information, or at least have this topic discussed and revisited, as I feel it would do much better to this platform.

6. Twitch After Dark 18+ Category

   Allow nudity or at least partial nudity like other social media apps like Twitter,Instagram, YouTube ect. The majority of Twitch users are now over 18 years old according to recent data (Links Below), and adding 18+ content could expand user base IMO

Also it's important to note that apps like Twitter have had full nudity & even full sexual content on their platforms for years and it doesn't seem to draw any negative attention from advertisers or the public. I think it's also important to note that Twitch already has many streamers that have such Twitter content linked in their Twitch Bios & most users & advertisers appear fine with it.

8. unfair discrimination of emote approval

   I have been affiliated for almost a year now, and I am getting frustrated with how emotes are being rejected or approved. I seriously do NOT understand how Twitch can allow gasm emotes with drool, a hand slapping a butt, etc for so many other streamers (seemingly those that make Twitch more money than us smaller streamers) yet I have an emote that is Indiana Jones whipping a peach that is rejected and I even made my channel for mature audiences only. Obviously we all know, as adults, what my animated emote is alluding to but it is WAY less obvious than emotes that have ACTUAL butts and things like that. It seems SERIOUSLY unfair. Not to mention there are basically pornstars (IE Amouranth) that are allowed to wear revealing bikinis while like on Twitch and doing EXTREMELY suggestive actions but they make Twitch tons of money so it's clear that there is financial favoritism occurring which, to me and many others, is messed up and not okay. I DEMAND that if you are going to have extreme rules, then they MUST be applied to every single person on Twitch, period.
   Please advise and let me know how I can KNOW without doubt what emotes I upload are going to be rejected (and do not copy and paste TOS to me because it's not that cut and dry since some people are allowed more explicit emotes and media and some aren't), because I will employ legal action if I am suspended or get flags on my account over trying upload emotes that continually get rejected unfairly compared to others which is a clear act of discrimination.

9. Include Gender Conversion Therapy Ban in Community Guidelines

   The community guidelines currently prohibit the encouragement, the use of, or generally endorsing sexual orientation conversion therapy.

   This is good, but I would also like to see the same things being prohibited for gender conversion therapy.

   Transgender people - especially youth - are often forced to undergo conversion therapy by their parents, their religion, etc, in order to force them to stop being trans. Just like sexual orientation conversion therapy, this does not work and actually harms the person undergoing it.

   If Twitch truly cares about minorities, they need to include gender conversion therapy alongside sexual oreientation conversion therapy in their list of prohibited behaviours.

    Hi, today I was at work and I have the right to go on any platform that is SFW when im free, so I often go on TWITCH.

    The problem here is that I got a strike and almost lost my job because there is stream appearing at the front page featuring softcore **** (Obvious sexualisation while wearing as less as possible cloths).

    I really like looking at streamers playing video games and also learning things, but your platform host NSFW content wich is weird for a gaming platform.
    I can't explain how frustrating being talk down by my employer felt because of your inability to provide a platform that is meant to be seen by a general public. I can even say that you enable that kind of streams

Can we filter out these so you don't get recommended these, can you make it so it's own category not just chatting which every stream does and means usally chatting, not dancing and ****. 12. Twitch's Community Guidelines regarding Sexual Conduct in 2023

    These aspects of the guidelines seem incongruent with the interests of a younger audience, potentially exposing them to content that may not be suitable for their age group.

    Examples of their recent changes to their guidelines permit what they call "artistic nudity", poledancing, and twerking. On top of this, the guidelines effectively state that there is no age restriction (i.e. 18+).

    I find this blatant disregard for child safety on the internet incredibly disturbing, and given Twitch has had controversies in the past regarding sexual misconduct, they choose to update their guidelines to include it instead of taking action against these violations in favour of the financial benefits that these offending users provide the platform.

    I created an account with the age set to 15 and I was not only able to see the thumbnails of these 18+ streams, but a lot of these streams I was able to view the streams of.

    Additionally, given that this is a site advertised towards ages 14+ and that it has a large presence on the general internet, it should not be aligning itself with these guidelines regardless of if you're underage or not. It's basically a 18+ cam site advertising to children.

    Twitch should either be providing an 18+ age requirement for its entire platform and labelling itself as an adult site (and subsequently have the same reach appropriate for an adult site), or make its platform age-appropriate for the ages it's advertising towards (14+).

    I recommend the latter due to the users/streamers that have built a community around the guidelines this platform used to stand for. Either way, something needs to change.

13. Soviet and Stalinist symbology

    I am trying to understand how it is possible that promotion, glorification and usage of Stalinist and Soviet imagery and symbology on stream is not banned under the user guidelines I quote at the end of this post. In many countries in Europe, especially Baltic states, Poland etc. Stalinist and Soviet symbology is treated the same way as Nazi symbology and for a good reason - it is a hateful ideology of an authoritarian regime that was historically committing crimes against humanity against its neighbours and its own population - I am not for censorship overall but if we are banning some hateful content, why an exception like this is being made?

    Posting, uploading, or otherwise sharing hateful images or symbols, including symbols of established hate groups and Nazi-related imagery.

    Speech, imagery, or emote combinations that dehumanize or perpetuate negative stereotypes and/or memes.

    Content that expresses inferiority based on a protected characteristic, including, but not limited to, statements related to physical, mental, and moral deficiencies.

14. Ban streamers who show more skin then clothing

    I am tired of coming onto twitch an seeing so many female streamers posing half naked an making thousands from it. This is not a **** website. There are children who watch this daily giving away there money because they think they have some kind of connection with these woman when they just lie an manipulate there viewers for donations. For example writing there name across there breasts for a tier 3 subscription. Its a despicable act that you allow this on your platform. Also the way you treat your male creators vs. female creators is awful, have some pride in your job an not let you're **** to the thinking. Male streamers have been banned for removing there shirt in excitement from winning a tournament ,etc this is not equality. Also stop banning you're biggest income if you'll just unban them in a day, it shows how weak minded you are an how poor your team collaboration is between employees, which by the way all ex-twitch employees talk about how bad of a workplace it is.

15. Stop allowing suicidal ideation in usernames

    Seeing anything related to suicidal ideation is problematic for many individuals with mental health issues. There are a number of usernames with some form of suicidal reference in the name.

    This was used by some people shortly after the hate raid incident to target veterans with mental health issues, such as myself. Now, I continue to see usernames like this, whether targeted or not, and it is not something that should be allowed.

16. This a game streaming platform not a site for fan service.

    vr is blowing up and with vr streamers, lately alot of vr streamers have been slipping by some of the rules and its kind of concerning. if you watch most of the streamers youll notice that the content feels more like fan service rather than a reflection to the game and/or personality. i feel like the rules for vr in general should just be more strict since the creations of most of the creators has only been sex related if not blatantly sexual. please rework some of the gameplay guidelines so that vr has specified rules since it is somewhat still new.

17. 18+ NSFW content section and filtering

    With twitch taking a large stake in livestreaming as a whole I feel it is best for twitch to branch out into allowing 18+ NSFW content on the platform.

    I propose that 18+ content is limited exclusively to verified 18+ users of the site, and is impossible to discover by default - but can be found using a convenient account setting.

    In this way ambiguity between certain game content and body painting can be eliminated by defining what makes content 18+ or not 18+

    A safe alternative to other NSFW live stream sites can be created through twitch in this way as well

18. How can we start a dialog about Twitch's inequitable treatment of female streamers?

    Twitch's changes to acceptable content this year explicitly created different rules for male and female streamers. Where can we start a dialog about what kind of message this sends to both women and those who objectify/dismiss female streamers?

19. Overhaul Community Guidelines

    I know Twitch CEO went over this at Twitch-con San Diego 2019 with some good pluses towards this better chance. I have no idea when that will be implemented into today's Twitch Moderation, but hopefully sooner rather than later.

    But anyways, some things he did not mention was these ideas and should add-on or I would recommend a complete overhaul on the enforcement.

    • We should be able to see in our own dashboards of previous infractions that are on the account and not removed due to being expired or mistakened suspensions. We, as live streamers, or even users (non-live streamers) should have this access than we taking our own record keeping off the platform (which I still recommend especially when we are incorrectly suspended we'd be unable to view this data, at least with the current method of suspensions). Give examples and details on the community guidelines pages. Yes, I understand you want to make it easy to consume and appealing to read for the masses, but learn from other platforms with their community guidelines. Make videos even, pictures, and visual aids. They work.
    • On-stream violations, like actual violations, should suspend from streaming on their own channel only. Being a guest on another stream should be fine and not a death sentence to another streamer. The suspended streamer isn’t the #1 focus of the stream of course but still apart of the stream. I guess in some cases you/Twitch don’t want to associate with certain levels of suspended streamers and if that level is more extreme then yeah it’s understandable they shouldn’t be a guest on any streams on Twitch. But lower level should be fine. And your dashboard should show this level too for you, as the streamer know to not go onto any streams to be a guest as well.
    • Also you shouldn’t need to take their ability to be a viewer and contribute to the overall communities on twitch and their own. I think an on-stream infraction should be completely separate than off-stream infraction. Off-stream infractions like breaking community guidelines when interacting on Twitch’s platform then suspend their ability to chat i.e. global ban. You and I know, people will always make an alt account to evade suspensions to continue to being twitch user/viewer.
    • The intent thing with Twitch CEO mentioned should actually take place. CEO said if you didn’t have intent, you did not break community guidelines. And a lot of streamers granted did not read or just simply misinterpreted the community guidelines. As Twitch CEO said about safety / moderation is a global department and everyone has different in interpretations, same with live streamers, different interpretations. The suspensions should still exist for violations but it should not be indefinite based on no very clear intent. I’ve seen many live streamers banned because of misreading the context and misinterpretations from moderation. Let the live streamer give clearer context if needed than assuming as twitch moderation.

    With this latest TOS update, the only remaining difference between Twitch and Chaturbate is the fact that on the second you can masturbate on cam, which at this rate you will allow in a matter of months.
    A platform that fails to enforce its own rules is a failing platform, I honestly believe that within 2-3 years most serious streamers will have already moved to Kick or YouTube, because there will no longer be space on this platform for their content.
    Over time, Twitch will become a site intended for *********** and will remain only, as it already is now, among other things, a showcase for sponsoring your Onlyfans.
    In the space of 3 years you have gone from not being able to show your navel live, a rule that was actually too restrictive, to being able to show your naked breasts on cam, on a site NOT intended only for 18+ people (as some streamers say for fear of lose their money).
    The only thing keeping this platform going is the fact that it is part of Amazon.
