AV1 streaming beta enrollment
Allow Streamers to Opt-In to AV1 Encoder Streaming and other beta features

I would just prefer to have AV1 support because of the bandwidth and quality benefits but enrolling for early access would be nice.
It seems odd that Twitch isn't encouraging people to switch to better manage their bandwidth issues.

I have a little bit of unstable internet connection for normal twitch encoding. AV1 would help me a lot and make it cheaper for server processing for you. plz enable it.

Currently stream NVENC but have an AV1 card on standby. If they open a beta, I would enroll in a heartbeat.

I would go and buy an ARC gpu in a heartbeat if I was to enroll on such a test!
Today OBS officially released v29 in witch intel GPUs and 7xxx series amd cpus will be able to encode in AV1 and that is Huge!Hopefully twitch won't be slow to adapt again and we will be able to get there soon.
As a streamer I am all in for helping towards that direction

Is it planned that Twitch will support the AV1 codec in the near future?
OBS, Nvidia and AMD support the AV1 codec.
I know that Twitch has already done AV1 tests: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/637388605 -

I second this. Would love the opportunity to do some early testing with twitch to help in ironing out any issues related to streaming with AV1 and viewing it as a live stream. Please make a way we can sign up and help with this.
