Add a "random small streamer" suggestion to the raid button on dashboard
Currently the Raid Channel button on the Creator Dashboard only lists live channels that the streamer is following. This is just helping to make the large channels larger and gain more viewers/followers, while smaller channels with not as many followers get left behind. There should be an option for small streamers (say, about 50 or less concurrent viewers) to "opt in" for discovery so they have a chance to be listed as a "suggested streamer" when a streamer clicks that Raid Channel button.
Just going to note this here, too: About 90% of the streamers I follow and whose content I frequently watch are streamers who I discovered via a raid from another streamer. The few others are mostly just IRL friends, a very small minority. Having at least a decent chance at being raided by a streamer with a lot of viewers would help immensely with providing discoverability for small streamers.
No to this. Hosting/raiding is to build community. There should be tools for small streamers to get more exposure, yes, but this is a bad idea
Personally, the threshold should really cap out at 15-20, because 50 is way past the point where you become much, much easier to be discovered.
Yes cause it's not really far for the smaller channel are not getting g views they need cause of the big channels us starting out needs help as well or atleast than the bigger channels so I vote yes for this one
I do believe this is a good idea 👍
I think it is good, but at the same time very hard to do because (imho) it should redirect at least to Small streamer with a good content/quality standard.
I genuinely enjoy this idea, as a smaller streamer just trying to get my wings. I sadly do not believe Twitch will implement something like this....but hey a man can dream I guess.
You know how someone can host anyone at any time? Most big streamers do it when they finish their stream to support any other streamer they like. WHAT IF, when someone decides to host any other streamer channel ; part of their viewers get directed to the same content they're watching (any category) BUT with a low level streamer. For example, a streamer with 50 viewers host's a channel. 40 viewers go to that specific channel that's being hosted & 10 of those viewers get sent to a random channel in the same category with a low viewer count. Might help out ALOT of people who try streaming but give up due to poor networking. What do you think? Maybe it can be an OPTION for any big streamer to push their viewers to different channels at the same time.
I think this is a good idea. I tend to raid friends of mine that are live, but once a week I am manually looking for a streamer with 0 or 1 viewer in the same category as I was streaming. You can brighten someone's day with a raid like that! If you raid with 3 viewers, or 30, it doesn't matter. As you share the love your viewers have for you, with someone else! This will make that a lot easier. To find someone in the same category as a recommendation to raid. Love it!
This is a brilliant idea! Raiding fellow small streamers is great and I love to spread the hype! But I have to manually search for these streamers myself in the desired category(ies). Hopefully Twitch takes this idea on board
Kinda agreed to this, 5 viewers is kinda tricky for the small streamer such as myself to raid someone I love to bring in the hype.
@tenshi_a Yes! That's a great idea too. I hope Twitch staff are paying attention.
I like this idea - but perhaps, to help make it a good raid relevant to your viewers (so they're more likely to engage / follow), make it select a random small streamer in either a category you were streaming in, or a chosen category.
