For 9 months I have been reporting someone who has been harassing me over and over with NO response from Twitch. When will there be a real system in place to protect streamers??

This person has made numerous accounts with usernames that have shared personal information including my phone number, addresses, and names of family members. I have reported, banned, blocked, and had my MODs do the same, but nothing has ever been done on Twitch's end.

If others are going through this, I want to hear about it and what Twitch is going to do to help those of us who are dealing with long term harassment and the emotional duress that follows it.

We need a group of people who are actively dedicated to control the community, and at the same time keep that the content creators follow all the rules and guidelines established for the platform.

It would be the best way to increase the security and trust of users so that everyone can enjoy Twitch.

Twitch should implement better reporting tools, starting with no longer requiring you to either report from within your channel or from their channel. For example, if reporting due to behaviors off-platform or reporting off-stream after gathering information to make the report rather than interrupt the flow of your own content, it's a bad experience to have to go their channel. If the person being reported is a streamer themselves, then that also forces someone to have to see that person's stream content or potentially live content in order to make a report, and because many people tend to wait to report, that may be a major barrier to reporting and add to what might be a traumatic experience already. There should be a portal for reporting. Additionally, because Trust & Safety apparently doesn't accept screenshots over concerns about fakes, the portal should somehow capture everything on Twitch and maybe even have a way to authorize Discord and Twitter to capture messages sent there as well. Otherwise, Twitch is basically wasting our time collecting and submitting evidence of TOS violations that seem to never get acted on, and that doesn't work. Reporting should also include additional categories, such as lewd or inappropriate behavior, because people may choose not to report because they don't identify their experience as harassment, while they may see it as inappropriate or breaking Twitch Community Guidelines.

We get the initial notice that we've made a report and that's great. What we don't have is any resolution. We are left in the dark as to any actions or if the report was even looked at.
It would be nice to have a follow up email letting us know that someone has at least read the report and acted (even inaction) ala the vague wrap up email.

"Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We've initiated an investigation based on the information that you provided and we'll take appropriate action based on our findings. Please note that for privacy reasons, we're not able to share the specifics of the action taken, if any."

I'm from the south and see a good amount of Dixie's still flying. Wouldn't do it myself, but I respect those who do and know they are good people. Believe it or not, the flag is a symbol of regional pride and heritage, and is in NO WAY the racist hate symbol that you and others inside the progressive orthodoxy see it as. Unilaterally painting it as such and ignoring the reality on the ground, what it actually means to the people living here, is just wrong. It's an inspirational symbol to fight for what you believe in, and all of us believe much differently than the Confederates nowadays. True tolerance involves respecting reasonably differing perspectives and not just stamping out those that you disagree with. Please reconsider.
