Channel points for ALL streams

So, I was an affiliate and decided to leave the program and really miss the interactive channel point system. It would be LOVELY if you all would give channel points to ALL streamers because it just makes sense. Channel points are a great way to have interactivity with your community and it SUCKS that I, a non-affiliate or partner streamer, can't use the feature. I may be in the minority of this though. My question is though, why is it only for affiliates and partners anyways? It's not like you make money off the channel points anyways, so it really just makes more sense for everyone to have access to them.

    La idea que los puntos sea para todo streams es genial la posibilidad de poder interactuar con la gente es perfecto. Sin necesidad de afiliación.

    I strongly recomend twicth doing this. As it helps starting streamers. Surprised this post is 2 years old twicth has still not considered this. as agree with comments below that they dont get any money from channel points and is just a fun chat interactive thing. Was offered to be affilate today but was bit comfusing with all the setup for it just so i can have channel points and felt itwasnt all the hassle just for points so felt diiapointed. Pls strongly consider doing this twitch as there is no downside to it.
