Channel Points Folders with on/off switch
For variety streamers, it would be wonderful to be able to put certain channel point rewards into folders that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch.
For example, I could put all my "Fallguys" rewards into a "Fallguys" folder. Then the entire folder could be turned on. When I play a different game, I could turn the folder off.
With the current system, we have to go through a huge list of rewards turning each individual reward on and off when switching games. The end result is that many streamers just have rewards that don't always make sense, depending on what they're doing that day.

YES!!! I was just about to propose this. So glad I found this post. I am a Vtuber and I have a lot of different streams and depending on what type of model I choose to use (2D or 3D) I have different things I can do. It would be nice to separate out my channel point redeems into regular, VR, and other folders. It's always a bummer when I forget to turn things off and someone redeems and I have to tell them "oh shoot, nah not this stream :("

Yes! I need to make different categories that turns on or off certain channel rewards when clicked. This will make my life so much easier

Many of us stream multiple categories.
For instance in a game releated and a non-game related category. For these different categories, different sets of redeems could exist,
like camera switches, playing sound files etc., which only make sense
for a certain category and don't work for another. So if I want to switch the category, I have to manually disable certain redeems, which could be some kind of automated by twitch, when I switch the category, I'm currently streaming in.
It would be great, if you could add an optional category field for a custom redeem, which makes redeems available or unavailable, depending on the current category.

This is a great idea!! Would make multiple game streaming a lot more streamlined.

Auto + manual would be great as I sometimes stream from an other location where some rewards don't work. So being able to turn those off in 1 click would be awesome!

"Profile" function for channel points so we can quickly alter point redemptions based on the game being played? set auto by the game field or manually by the streamer.
Variety streamers play different games so alot of the time they either have to disable certain redemptions or refund.

This would be amazing and so helpful for all of the variety streamers! I usually stream ASMR and a lot of my redeems are very trigger focused, I have about 20-30 redeems just for that. It’s really a pain in the butt to have to pause everything if I want to play a short game with the community. This would really help everyone out and give us so many more options to interact with the community! I feel like a lot of streamers would love to add game-specific redemptions too, but it can become a hassle keeping up with what goes where. Please create folders!

So many streamers on Twitch have different channel points rewards for different games that they play, some having upwards of 10 for a single game. My proposal is a way to enable them to only need to set up the channel point redemption once and then not touch them again unless they need to make any changes to how they work.
The idea I came up with is for an extension of the channel points system that allows a streamer when creating a reward to designate one or more Twitch categories. Then when they stream to a category, that matches one of the pre designated ones on a reward, Twitch detects this and shows the relevant channel point rewards and hides the irrelevant ones.
What if you want the reward to never go away?
Well my thought was that the "Category" field would be optional. Any channel point redemption that has not been allocated a "Category" will always be shown to the streamer and the viewers of the channel.
Why do streamers need this?
Many streamers spend a large portion of time ahead of their streams setting up, turning on and off rewards, and much more before they even click the Go Live button. This system would make a streamer's set up process easier and more hassle free, especially if they had many rewards for one game, by making the process automatic.
Why hide and show rewards?
Currently, when you turn a reward on and off the viewers receive a pop up saying "New" channel point reward, even if it has only been turned off. Hiding and showing would hopefully remove this as the reward was never deactivated it just isnt visible to the viewer.
Would this affect the rewards queue?
Ideally, it wouldn't affect the rewards queue for streamers. The rewards would not be changed in this interaction as this should only affect how they show to viewers of the stream.
Possible other features.
These rewards would possibly be shown in a sub group in the channel points pop out for the viewer to designate them as category specific rewards.

I came here to request something similar but a little more automated.
My thought was again based around the idea of streamers having multiple channel point rewards many of them being game specific. I can think of about 5 streamers that have Channel Points enabled constantly for 3 or 4 different games, even games that they are not playing.
My idea was to have a system where in your creator dashboard you can set a category from Twitch (e.g. Just Chatting, War Thunder, RimWorld) and then when you stream to that category your personalised channel points with the correct category tag are displayed to your viewers and the ones with tags that don't match are hidden from view.
Additionally this field would be optional and any channel point redemption that left this field blank would be marked as a generic reward and never disabled by this system.
I am not a programmer and do not know how easy or hard this would be to implement and i can imagine there would be a lot of work and back end coding that is required and that this might not even be possible but at the end of the day this could be a really cool feature for you to implement one day in the future.

This is 1000% needed for highly interactive streams - channel points are a total mess and the only way to organize them currently is by channel point cost

We absolutely need this. 100%

Adding to this, extensions (like Crowd Control) add some channel point rewards that interact directly into the extension itself, but since the order is by price, they just get lost inside the many redemptions inside the box.
Getting CPR folders for viewers and streamers would help reducing the clutter, organize redemptions depending on their usage, they would help switching from one game to another like OP said, as well as help structuring and creating more creative channel point redemptions.

I have game specific channel point redemptions and they are all mixed in together with general CP redemptions as well. My idea would be to have the creator make a selection for their redemptions to be general or tied to a specific category. General redemptions are always there and the other redemptions would only show up if a specific category (i.e. Sea of Thieves, Rocket League, Just Chatting, etc) was selected.

It would also be nice if rewards in folders were grouped together in the redemption menu for viewers. I have rewards that effect Streamer Avatars, Kappamon, and myself but because rewards are organized by price they're all mixed together

At the moment I feel like Channel Point redemptions can quite easily become very busy and it can be difficult for viewers to find the right redemption.
What I'm suggesting is enabling streamers to categorise redemptions into groups that expand when a viewer clicks on it which would make them tidier and more accessible :) these categories could be defined by the streamer to allow greater control.
Examples would be grouping "Special Effects", "Game-specific Redemptions" and "Make me do Stuff" with relevant redemptions in those groupings.

FreeRangeMegs commented
What I'm suggesting is giving streamers the ability to make category-specific Channel Point redemptions that become visible (or disappear from the list) depending on the selected category that a streamer is in.
For example, some streamers have a "Choose my Costume for X game" redemption. Streamers could configure this redemption to only appear in the list of possible redemptions when their Category is in said game. It could also be possible to make one redemption applicable to multiple categories (if the redemption relates to multiple categories).

Being able to group channel point redemptions would be a HUGE benefit to channels. Currently, I play numerous different games, and what fits for 1 game usually doesn't fit for another, I could be allowing viewers to restrict the use of an ability, pick a class for me to play as, or pick a weapon loadout, these things can be vastly different (or not existant) on different games, or, even on different game modes of the same game.
Minimum functionality would be streamer created groups that we can manually switch between prior to stream, or maybe integrate the change with our stream decks... where a higher level of functionality would be us being able to enable "automatic game switching" where we can tie a group to a game, and when we list that game as the one we are playing, that group is automatically selected.
This will be a HUGE time saver pre-stream, and allow for a more fun and engaging viewer experience as streamers will be more likely to offer game-specific or game-mode specific rewards.
