Mods participation in polls
For what reason should a mod NOT be able to participate in stream predictions, mods are viewers as well, before I got my mod badge I was a dedicated viewer. Preventing mods from participating creates that even bigger disconnect from the viewers and just divides communities more.
Thank you for continuing to help us evolve our products! Your feedback made it clear moderators should be able to join in on the fun.
And now they can!
Participating moderators will not be able to manage or resolve Predictions they have voted in.

I understand wanting to prevent abuse.
Could Mods only be able to spend and earn channel points on predictions that are only done by other Mods of the channel or the Channel owner? As Mods would still like to collect and spend channel points and are still earning them in other ways, such as watching streams.
If not then at the very least for Mods, can they spectator participate, so they spend and earn no channel points but they can vote and get the vote badge, like you've done for other regions that can't use predictions? So they can still join in and participate but no benefit from it?
If Mods can participate in Predictions at least voting only, then it might be fun for the chat/stream to see which mods/vips were right and wrong on predictions, a score reset at the start of the stream the viewers can see a mini leaderboard and comment on, for fun. A lot of Esports streams the castors (who are usually Mods or VIPs in chat) will predict winners and see who's right more often, some streams manually track this, including a "Chat" representation using the Prediction. It would be great for Twitch to embrace this fully.

The answer is simple. If the streamer starts the Prediction, mods can participate. If a mod starts the Prediction, the mods cannot participate.

Can you guys make a off duty system for mods so we can participate in predictions while we are in off duty mode ?

I don't get why mods are not allowed to participate in predictions. There's no reason for it. Mods are viewers and normally part of the community, not some paid workers who aren't allow to enjoy the features and fun parts of a streamer interacting with the chat.
Right now I feel super bad whenever the streamer creates a prediction because I know: I have no right to vote myself. And thanks to that, I'll never create a prediction myself. It's just unfair and discouraging.
So far I'm gathering tons of points and have no use at all for them. They just lay there wasted and I can't even gift them to the others in the community.
At least enable that streamers are allowed to choose themselves whetver they want their mods to be able to participate or not. -

Mods should be allowed to join in on predictions. At the end of the day they are also viewers and have to miss out on the fun... Just unfair.

You posted this as a link in another idea, but your grammar is so bad, and the middle paragraph is unnecessary, so I'm not voting. If you're going to post links to it in other posts, at least have it be well-written. Normally I wouldn't be too harsh on this, but you're trying to spread it around.

The thing is, that a mod could start a prediction not related to the stream, join and win all the points in 1 minute. But as you wrote, it this happens most likely the streamer will kick that mod...so I think to remove this restriction would be enough. Make things simpler! :)
The problem is at smaller streamers. They got like 20 viewers with 8 active mods (don't ask why so much! :) ) Means...only maximum 12 is allowed to take part in the fun! From this 12 8 does not play...so...it is not so much fun anymore.

Like in any other gambling based game give mods in this point the house a share for taking care of the prediction.

I'll ditto some others reasonings, if a mod makes the prediction they then cant join in. But if the streamer does then they can and only the streamer can choose the result.
Another thing could be, a limit. I.E. Mods can only put in X amount of channel points (a min and max) and the streamer sets the limit.

Here is my suggestion, that if it is made by a Mod, then mods shouldn't be able to participate. However, if it is made by the streamer than mods and below should be able to participate.
This will disallow from mods working together from gathering a lot of points, but also allow them to participate if started by the streamer.

It honestly boggles my mind why this issue hasn't been resolved yet. Just add a setting that lets the streamer choose whether or not their mods can vote in predictions and another setting for whether or not mods can choose the outcome.

Mods need to be able to vote in predictions and Streamers should be able to give out and take away channel points.

Yea, I think too that Mods should be able to participate. Streamers could restrict them, Abuse would get noticed.
Divide in community is rly rough, specially in smaller communities.

If a mod rigs a prediction, they lose their mod status. I'm sure streamers can see to that. I know for myself, my mods will lose their mod status the minute they rig a prediction. It's not what I promote on my channel. My mods can troll me, not my viewers

Mods shouldn’t be able to participate in stream predictions because they could rig the results
