Music Submission Bin Idea The idea is simple, a place where artists who own their material and copyright can submit their music into a catalogue. This will give streamers safe music to use, while potentially giving exposer to new and otherwise undiscovered artists.

2 simple tools to support dj's / copyright checks Important: I just speak about how to use existing mechanics - I don't discuss the actual mutes behaviour. 90% of my material "survives" and so I'm fine with it.
Twitch could identify songs, mute and the more tell the dj (appeal function) which material is muted and also could separate muted from unmuted material.
1st tool / "precheck": It should be easy to create a tool for dj's to upload playlists and get a ok/not ok feedback from tool.
2st tool / "ok list": Twitch could identify the unmuted music played every day by dj's and pass out an index/list…

Let's Work Together to Change the Law I would like to get all of the streaming platforms, some big name streamers from each, some partners, some affiliates, and some just starting to stream, and then get them together with Record Labels, some of their artists who are both for and against us using their songs in online streaming, and a panel of congress men and women to sit down discuss the Copyright and DMCA Laws, and then work together to Change it to benefit everyone.
It's time we sit down and discuss this matter to ensure that things like playing music on a video game stream, is…

Twitch should hire/contract out some of their own content creators to develop music and sounds Twitch should hire/contract out some of their own content creators to develop music and sounds that are twitch owned so people can pull from those resources without penalty. This way you provide raw resources for old and newcomer streamer's content, while giving back to the community with work.

Option to download the original unmuted version of a VOD Have an option to download and/or export the original unmuted version of the VOD, if the streamer wishes to export the unmuted version to YouTube or download the unmuted version to edit out the copyrighted music, so the streamer has an unmuted version for a highlight.
Another potential option is to have the same thing, but make it a tool on the Twitch website (like where the past broadcasts are stored). As in, having the streamer edit out unmuted parts, but make it so they're not just separate VODS- have the choice to merge them together.

NCS music is being muted, but you list in the blog as a safe source, why is that I have not got a strike on me, but I did have vods automatically muted by using NCS playlists. Though, in the email sent today, referencing your BLOG, you indicate this is a safe source, which it is. So why does it get muted?

Transparency regarding why we're specifically receiving DMCA strikes I appreciate that copyright exists and I as a creator need to respect those rules however I believe music is an integral part of my streams and my current growth on twitch. I have no problem removing and replacing some songs in my playlist however there has been a tremendous amount of inconsistency when it comes to what parts of my streams are being muted.
I would love a way of knowing which songs and why are getting copyrighted so I have a chance to learn from the problems and not just be told I'm doing something wrong.
I appreciate…

Sync Licenses Create a portal on the dashboard where a creator can apply for Sync Licenses. Work with the creator, not against them.

Implement a Viewparty-esque System for Music Shouldn't it be possible to have synchronized & Timestamped Music in parallel to the stream via Amazon Music? I'd understand if it was a stretch to ask for Spotify and Apple Music, both because it's probably pretty difficult to sync across services and keeping in mind that Twitch is owned by Amazon. However as Twitch Viewparties seem to work why not implement the same thing for music? **** i'd even pay extra if the Amazon Music Subscription wasn't included in Prime anyway.

Paridy lyrics policy I was wondering if the policy of parody lyrics could be clarified. Most of your policy says as long as a good attempt is made to match the lyrics.
However some comedy channels might want to use parody lyrics improvising a parody acapella on the spot.
we're not using a recording of the song but we are singing in the cadence and notage of the copyrighted song but we're singing alternate lyrics.
Like for example I noted that the Billy Ocean song Love Zone happened to come out at the same time that we discovered The warp zone in Super…

Maybe have a smal red text up in the right, in start page to remind ppl? Something like that perhaps, would also be great to know wich vod that has got an strike.

Server deletion button a mass deletion button that unlike the current one actually deletes on the server side. so that Twitch no longer has a copy of dmca possible to strike clips. henceforth preventing the problem from occurring ever gain so long as copy right free music is used.

Allow for known accepted licenses to be publicly available I know that there are labels in talks to make their catalogues available on twitch. For example I had reached out to Cold Busted Records, and they informed me they were working on a deal with twitch. Please make these things public, by artist, by song, by label. That way we can knowingly choose who to play.
Thank you for the recent efforts.

Hire lawyers who will represent streamers simple as subject says, its suggestion, idea, i am not lawyer, I do not know how easy, hard is that for you, but this is not just attack on streamers, with dmca strikes, deletetion of vods, clips, your site is on the attack, and people who are doing it do not even understand value of your site, that it is not music that people are listening, but rather they are watching games and having some atmosphere in background. You need to stand to them, with streamers, with lawyers, get to agreement with music industry.

Permanent fix for music that's used more than once If I listen to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture on my stream, it will be flagged as a copyright violation due to there being some copyrighted performances of it. (And yes, there are plenty of non-copyrighted performances available on the internet, which are 100% legal to use in this way.) Appealing that the copyrighted work does not appear in my video is a very slow process, leaving my VOD muted for most of its lifetime. And then if I use the exact same piece of music again in the future, it's going to be muted again, by the same faulty copyright bot…
