Integrating Spotify Playlists with videos to allow for recorded videos to have DMCA music, but not be able to be copyrighted.
The Problem:
Streamers split audio to separate their music so they can not be DMCA'd. This means on videos the streams can be very silent where as during the live stream there was music playing. While the feature improved livestreams by allowing for streamers to not have to worry about DMCA with the music they play, but it hurt those that watch videos.
The Solution:
I believe a good fix to this solution is to allow for integration of Spotify such that while the streamer is streaming, if they are using Spotify to play songs they can integrate their songs with twitch so that twitch will keep a log of what songs are playing and when, and store that log in the video. This way when watching a stream the viewer has the option to connect their Spotify to twitch where twitch can play the songs on their Spotify that match what the streamer was playing at that time of the video. This allows twitch be free from DMCA strikes while giving their users that watch videos the full experience of the livestream that they had missed.
