Spotify playlist checker Seeming some songs on Spotify are blocked by Twitch due to copyright issues perhaps we could get an app or something where we can put a URL for a Spotify playlist and it checks wither a song would be blocked or not, this way we could tailor playlists to be free of copyright infringement but still suit the vibe and style of our streams. Sadly there is nothing we can check songs against at present so this would be a great way to work it.

A Broadcast License for DMCA For Twitch! Hey Twitch i have a question for you. Since DMCA as taken advantage like others and including myself that uses Twitch Soundtrack. Should Twitch add a feature where broadcasters can sign up for music license to play that music on the stream. I think this great idea for Twitch! Thanks being platform throughout my two years streaming!

emote slot unlock for following dmca within a certain time frame Give streamers the ability to unlock additional channel emote slots for having an account in good standing for something like 90 days.
Incentives do wonders for changing habits and creating new routines.

Actually respond and have a place for attachments when filing an appeal Months ago, I filed for an appeal on another twitch channel I run and I never got a response. There’s no way for me to contact about being updated. Also, when filing the appeal, there was no way for me to attach proof that I had permission from the artist to use their song. So, attachments when filing an appeal needs to be a thing. And again, I never heard back so that part of the one video is still muted despite appeal being filed months ago and having the artist’s permission in writing

Restitution for streamers unfairly banned/lost years of content Twitch should find a way to reimburse or provide recompense for the unfair and extremely short timeframe to deal with their VODs. Many streamers lost years of content because they simply didn't have time to download and archive their VODs, which is absolutely unacceptable in this industry. Twitch has acknowledged that they screwed up, so let's hear them state what their plans are for making it right to those negatively affected.

Not having to delete a whole VOD when one thing goes wrong Mod command to introduce a deliberate EXT-X-DISCONTINUITY into the live m3u playlist and remove the last eg five minutes from a live VOD from public view. Saves having to delete entire VOD if something goes wrong - particularly for IRL outdoor streamers who have much less control over their environment!
Minutes as an optional parameter with 5m default? Command privs for streamer, mods and video producers?

Amazon Music Amazon, which owns Twitch, has their own music service. IIRC there is also an extension that allows Amazon Prime Members to share their currently playing Amazon Music lists with other Amazon Prime members. What would the feasibility of allowing Amazon Music Prime members to share their currently playing lists with everyone like the Watch Parties?

Licensed music- copyright accusations Brought music clips with license and still get claims. How can that be and why does it not know?

Follow the actual law https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/17/512 Twitch needs to look at the actual letter of the law and unless the person doing the strike does everything as required in paragraph section C. Paragraph 3, Subsection A, no strike is valid or legal as ruled by US Ninth Circuit Court in Lenz v. Universal Music Corp resolved on September 14, 2015

Clarification request re: game soundtracks The games I stream (Fallout 4/Fallout 76) have in-game radio stations, and these seem to be getting flagged; I imagine Bioshock and Grand Theft Auto would face the same problem. Can we have some clarification on how music that comes in a game is being handled? I don't have external music in any of my streams (unless I'm singing along with the in-game radio).

DMCA Dashboard Alerts A notification on the dashboard when we get a DMCA, in case the email gets caught in a filter, goes to an old account, or doesn't reach us for some other reason.

It is not the responsibility of the streamer to identify what infringes, but the party who files the DMCA claim In your email you state
"For your stream archives (VODs and Clips), right now your only options, if you think they contain unauthorized music, is to either go through them one by one, or, for Clips, use the “delete all” tool we’ve provided."
This is utter ********.
When a streamer is alleged to have violated anything, that allegation should clearly refer to the video that violates, along with timestamps of the time ranges that violate.
Then, the infringing content can be taken down if it is deemed to violate DMCA.
You cannot expect that a streamer should pre-emptively go one…

GIVE MORE TRANSPARENCY FOR COPYRIGHT FREE CONTENT. More details are SPECIFICALLY needed for NO COPYRIGHT SOUNDTRACKS / sounds during streams. A lot of my personal archives and streams get flagged when using songs that have been listed on sources as COPYRIGHT FREE and still get flagged. The same goes for MULTIPLE other channels and something needs to be outlined for this proccess because somewhere, someone is doing something wrong.

twitch can pay for a music licence so then musicians can actually stream covers, and it not get taken down immediately Paying for music license so then copyright is not infringed allows users to be able to livestream and clip videos without being copyright claimed and potentially loosing their place on the platform. During these times twitch and other streaming sites are a life line to musicians

"Whoops. Something went wrong," a confusing worthless error message for copyright! "Whoops. Something went wrong," is about the most confusing and least helpful error message that you could provide for twitch users when their clips fail due to copyright music.
How about, "This clip failed due to copyright music?"

Copyright Compliance Please help us with showing that we are fully complaint and legally allowed to play music on-line or live. I am a professional DJ and Virtual DJ helps make sure we are legally compliant. There is no reason my videos should be muted... Ever.

Twitch Soundtrack actually being licensed I just got my VOD muted...for using Twitch Soundtrack. Two separate songs were marked as unlicensed. This is ridiculous, and needs to be changed. How can Twitch promote Twitch Soundtrack as 'the solution' for DMCA takedowns and as a Spotify alternative, if it's causing the exact same issues as any other music platform?
