Game and platform icon For games and platforms there could be an icon imagem, of small size, which could be used as a visualization flair on the website and also as a data point for the API, as applications could use them to their UIs.

Game list missing from some company pages On a number of company pages, the game list does not appear, and games associated with the company can only be viewed within the timeline element (which does not display games without a release date, and is slow to reflect updates). This issue seems prevalent among company pages with relatively few games, although that might not be the direct cause.

Incorrect game data for Rainy Season https://www.igdb.com/games/rainy-season
Can't receive updated data for this game through the API.
2 votesHeya! We’re currently doing large changes around the consistency of data between our site and API. These out of sync issues should be resolved very soon, and we will be going back to look at individual cases such as these games afterwards if there are still edge cases.
If you spot any more feel free to add them in the comments as it could be helpful.Thanks a lot and apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime!

3DTV support Not a fan personally, but it might be worth documenting with a simple Yes/No Checkbox.
Ex. Jak & Daxter Collection PS3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, etc.

Various Edits do not save when attempting to update a submission prior to Approval At times editors can realize an important bit of information was missed or forgotten after selecting Update Game. If the editor selects Edit again before their previous update has been approved. Several parts of the update appear to inconsistently display the recently entered data, while others do not. Many of these edits also will not change, even if re-edited prior to an Approval being confirmed by Admins.
Examples:
- Franchises do not save
- Removing Platforms from various Release Dates, Companies and Age Ratings do not save
- Removed Companies continue to display
- Previously added Multiplayer Modes do not…2 votes -

Making a platform's game listing has all the games at once. When you filter by alphabetical order or Rating or release date the list is different but the number of pages does not change.
An example is PS1 since the alphabetical order A - Z page 54 ends up in the letter D and from Z - A page 54 ends up in the S. Which means that games with initials E to R do not appear in alphabetical order however in other orders they appear and others do not Final Fantasy VII appears in the order by Rating but not by Release Date or Alphabetical1 vote -
Add a category "Internal Serial" in the external_games endpoint of API Arcade or console games usually have an internal serial
e.g. http://redump.org/discs/system/naomi/And different port of the same game would have its unique serial on different platforms

Allow POST commands to endpoints for providing data updates I'm currently working on a project where any (eventual) users of my app will (with their consent) be parsing their game libraries and providing data where it's missing in igdb, I'd like to be able to post this data via my app to your database.
Obviously, I'm not expecting to be able to post directly, but the ability to log contribution requests via POST commands would be good.

Allow fetching of game rating breakdown Allow fetching detail rating breakdowns; ie the data that drives the below image on the website;
https://www.igdb.com/games/horizon-zero-dawn-complete-edition/rating_breakdown.svg
The level of detail presented in the chart is sufficient, ie, number of ratings at each level of ratings, example output below;
{
"ratings": [
{
"ratingname": "Superb",
"ratingcount": 10,
"ratingvalue": 10
},
{
"ratingname": "Great",
"ratingcount": 100,
"ratingvalue": 9
},
{
"ratingname": "Good",
"ratingcount": 1000,
"ratingvalue": 8
},
{
"ratingname": "etc",
"ratingcount": 120,
"ratingvalue": 7
}
]
}Other note: underscores for italic formatting is annoying. :)

Add ELSPA to Game Ratings ELSPA was the rating system used in EU before the PEGI system replaced it.

Game Documentary/History Video Type Categories While this may need a bit of oversight, there are some extremely good examples of documentaries or historical breakdowns of game releases and/or even controversies. These are topics that are not generally covered in the official trailers or dev logs, or even gameplay videos. These videos can lay out a history of why some titles are cancelled, or overhauled, or have a troubled history outside of the game itself.
Examples:
Noclip's FFXIV 1.0 to A Realm Reborn Documentary

Copy Details from parent game If you make a version, or port of the game, the majortiy of things like categorization, series, cover are likely to be the same. It actually deters people from creating new versions by not providing a function like this as a template

Theme or Genre tag for Crypto/NFT games I'm not personally a fan of these titles, but I feel it would be helpful if we had a more high level flag for these entries. I feel this would have several benefits over a simple keyword, such as filtering search if you want to include or omit these titles, or on the Twitch side that would serve as an instant highlight in the categories that would appear next to the game itself.

App proposal: games, library, wishes and events In these months I thought and realized an MVP about a IGDB/Twitch app in which an user can follow game-events (like E3) and add presented games to their wishlist or library (user can search them manually later also). Obviously I'm using the igdb API to fetch game info. how can I share the idea with igdb/twitch? thanks

How it's Going? Feedback...
Have been using the site for a few weeks to compile release lists. There are some pros and cons to consider vs Metacritic and other sources.
Games are frequently missing from search and upcoming releases. These tend to be smaller titles such as Vincemus - Air Combat (a WWII aerial combat game on Steam that at time of writing has sub100 followers according to Steamdb.)
Other titles have missing platform associations, such as Catie in Meowmeowland which was missing PS4/5 and Xbox O/S/X, and similarly Weird West was assigned last gen PS4 and next gen Xbox S|X but missing…1 vote -
Add review scores from major gaming outlets. Is it possible to add Metacritic, PC Gamer and IGN review scores to every game?
