Fix Twitch categories for IGDB games with the same name

IGDB can handle games that have identical names. A well-known example is DOOM (1993) and DOOM (2016). The actual name of both games is just “DOOM”.

However, Twitch itself apparently can't handle this properly:

• If you type in one of these game names in the video editor's category field, two entries with that name will show up, but both will have the same cover art.
• If you use the normal twitch search for categories, two entries with that name will show up with different cover art, but they both link to the same category.
• Using one of the alternative names registered in IGDB doesn't let you work around this, Twitch resolves it to the canonical name.

Please fix this. The different games should be different categories. If that's not possible, at least avoid the category showing up as two categories.

I'm not sure if this request belongs in the IGDB forum since it's not actually an issue in IGDB, but rather how Twitch uses it for categories.

    Ran into this issue with Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, which is two very different games on Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color with the same title. Selecting the N64 one didn't work as it would just default to the GBC category, which also has substantially less followers and would potentially negatively impact viewership and browsing.

    It is absurd that publishers re-use names.
    It is even more absurd that this issue that has had a solution for decades exists on a wobsite in 2023. Twitch, please -- this is the basic of the basics. This allows a publisher to just make your wobsite unusable for a specific older game should they so choose, or even by accident.

    This is a very annoying issue. Example: there are two games named "Outlive":
    https://www.igdb.com/games/outlive - 2001 RTS
    https://www.igdb.com/games/outlive--1 - Horror game.
    The game category for both of them is https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Outlive , which is the Horror game.
    Now if someone decides to stream the 2001 RTS game it will be impossible to find them by going into the game category because it will redirect to the horror game page. Another game example:
    https://www.igdb.com/games/mafia--1
    https://www.igdb.com/games/mafia
