1. All partners get 1 global emote slot.

   I think it would be a really nice perk if all Partners got 1 slot which would be globally available to all twitch users.

   To keep the emote list from getting bloated by so many new emotes, perhaps the list would only show global emotes from partners which you follow, or perhaps they are only available to followers, but are usable globally.

2. Apply emote ToS consistently.

   Recently, I reached out to Twitch support regarding Follower emotes as I did not have access to them following an infraction from March. As it had been well over the 60 day period and I still did not have access, I decided I would ask support what was going on with it. After a couple days I received a response basically restating the guidelines for Follower emotes.

   However, in addition to this response, I noticed that 2 of my emotes which had been approved already had been removed, one for "sexual content" and the other for "political imagery." I was upset about the first one being removed as there was nothing sexual about the emote itself; however, it was from the Ankha video by Zone which is a sexual video, so I was not too upset. I was far more upset about my emote with a Soviet Ushanka being removed, as there are many, MANY channels on Twitch, most far larger than mine, who utilize similar imagery in their emotes. The inconsistency is frustrating to say the least. Twitch support provided no further insight as to why the ToS applied to me but not to others, and I feel like I am in a worse situation than when I had reached out to them in the first place. Their final email directed me here, so I am airing out my frustrations.

   This whole situation is unprofessional and I feel I have been fighting an uphill battle with Twitch staff since I first started my channel. The Twitch support and moderations teams must do better. Apply your ToS consistently.

3. Restructure Bit Emotes to Incorporate Gift Subs, Self-Subs, Charity

   Several people have already suggested adding a new category of emote slots for viewers who gift subscriptions or for viewers who have long subscription totals or streaks.
   Instead, I propose reworking (and likely renaming) Bit Emotes to allow viewers to progress toward them with the value from gift subs, self-subs, and donations through the charity tool.

   With the current iteration of Bit Emotes, most channels will never unlock the majority of the slots, because the thresholds are scaled with the platform's largest channels in mind. It's not unheard of for a smaller channel to unlock a lot of slots because of one or two viewers who have the means to give a ton of bits, but then almost nobody has access to the emotes assigned to those slots. Simply adding a new category of emotes would repeat the same problem (the thresholds would be established based on the largest channels, most supporters would never unlock beyond 1 or 2 of the emotes, and most of the potential slots would never get unlocked).

   Opening up Bit Emote thresholds to include other types of support would help existing emotes gain better circulation, help streamers access more of the locked slots that already exist, and provide a reward/incentive for users who enjoy supporting through Twitch-specific methods other than Bits.

   Counting the purchase of a subscription (regardless of whether it's a self-sub or a gift) would be a great way to add more value (gift sub recipients would not gain credit in this way, just the purchaser). This would also have a baked-in incentive to consider Tier 2 or Tier 3 subscriptions, which currently don't carry much incentive.

   Obviously, a significant obstacle in including sub value is the disparity in subscription prices in different regions (whereas Bits thresholds are uniform regardless of how much the viewer paid for them), as well as with streamers who have negotiated custom sub splits. I believe it's possible to arrive at some kind of standardized point model, whether it assumes an estimate per support method (eg "each Bit or purchased T1/T2/T3 has a set point value regardless of purchase price") or a calculated value (eg "each support method provides points directly calculated by the payout value to the streamer" which might get complicated if the streamer relocates to a different region).

   To clarify a little bit: imagine the purchaser of a T1 sub gets (for example) "250 bits worth" of progress toward permanent emotes. It would take 20 months of T1 subscribing (or 20 T1 gifts) just to reach the second Bit emote. This would not make Bits obsolete, but it would allow greater material reward than sub/gift badges that are only visible in the channel itself.

   Prime subscriptions could also be factored in, as they still provide measurable support.

   Twitch's built-in charity feature is relatively new as of this writing, but it's easy to imagine similarly allowing charity donations (made specifically through the charity tool) to provide equivalent progress. I could see people disagreeing on whether or not charity donations should be factored in, as they don't directly support the channel itself, but I feel like most streamers who feel strongly enough to run a charity event using the tool would be comfortable providing a built-in incentive (and failing that, there could be a setting to allow the streamer to decide).

5. more features on mobile for mods

   Moderators really need the features to do predictions/polls, approve/deny comments caught by automod, rewind the stream to clip easier & to be able to click on a user and see their message history & # of gifted subs, etc. PLEASE PLEASE! it's hard to mod correctly on mobile. The addition of the emote/sub/follower only mode was a HUGE HELP though. Ya'll are on the right track!

6. Follow time badge display on chat.

   It would be a great feature to add "follow time badge". For exaple if someone follows channel for 1, 3, 6, 12 months or 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 years it would be really nice to display user's "follow time badge". This feature will diversify chat and this will increase value of chat's view.

7. creator emotes

   I think it's a bit of a shame that the "Artist" role has no other use except as a badge. Especially since the artists then also have to subscribe - and pay - themselves to ultimately be able to use the emotes that they themselves have created for the streamer.

   So my girlfriend, who makes my emotes for me, still has to pay to be allowed to use these "own" emotes in the chat.

   I would like it if the artists would get a special position and get access to their own emotes without a subscription. You could tie this to the "credits" for example. So that then the person gets the access, who got the artist credits assigned by the streamer.

8. Badge for raiding chatters and Moderation of raids made with the /raid command

   To help channels with moderation and engaging viewers sent by another stream:

   I propose that the /raid and /host commands accept a short Optional text after it to indicate their raid or host message, and a special chat badge be granted to visiting chatters for a limited period of time (5-10 minutes) who come in after a host or raid from another channel they were watching, and Mouse hover-text over the raid badge and an IRC Tag visible to moderation bots be added to the raiders' chat messages indicating which raiding channel a user last came in from.

   The badge would help make raids stand out in the chat and allow for streamers to configure channel moderation bots to make filters and chat rules more intelligent by providing special exemptions for 'friendly spam' from friendly raiders - while most of the time (outside legitimate raids) being very strict against probable spam from new or first-time chatters to a channel.

   For example: The streamer's channel moderation bot could detect chat messages which simply contain Raid message text, and exclude those from spam detection policies for duplicated messages or repetitive message text.

   Twitch could also consider extra moderation settings to exempt raiding chatters from certain policies such as /uniquechat for a raid of certain size, or /followers, if the Raiding chatter satisfies that condition with respect to the channel the raid is caming from.

   In addition the raid "message" could appear in the receiving chat as an automatic chat message by the streamer along with the raid and allow the raid or host action to be moderated by the receiving channel.

   For channel management purposes: I would suggest that chatters' raid badge expire after 5 minutes, or an amount of time configurable by the stream receiving a host/raid, and in the case that the broadcaster who sent the raid is placed on a /timeout or /ban before visiting chatters' raid badge expires: All of the raiding chatters would be blocked as a group from sending messages to the chat until the raid badge expires or timeout of the raiding streamer is removed, Except of course any chatters who had subscribed or followed the raided channel before the raid.

   In the case of receiving a hostile raid: I suggest the broadcaster who was raided with the /raid command be given an extra command that would redirect chatters who don't follow the channel and who have a particular streamer's raid badge non-expired away from their stream and back to the Twitch front page.

   And that the broadcaster who sent the raid have the same capability (In case the raided stream has a bad reaction to it, provide a command where they can withdraw their own raid during that time period, sending their chatters back to the Twitch front page as long as their Raid chat badges have not yet expired).

   To help channels with moderation and engaging viewers sent by another stream:

   Please stop this ridiculous assault on emotes. A simple emote of an animated character shaking their bum is not sexual in nature. It's just a bit of fun, and especially considering the other things Twitch allows on it's platform one simply can't fathom why an emote of a make believe video game character shaking their bum would be offensive. One simply has to spend 5 seconds browing the ASMR or hot tub categories to see content that is blatantly sexual and yet Twitch seems to take no issue with it whatsoever.

   Please explain to me why an emote of Tingle, an imaginary Zelda fairy shaking his bum while fully dressed is unacceptable while you can basically give a full on ******** to an ear microphone and that's fine.

    Just make the emote menu be top layer of the website, so it doesnt hide behind other parts of the website.

14. Rewarding tier 2 subscribers

    I have a sustained 5 tier 2 subscribers for a decent period - I would like to reward them with a personalised emote for subbing at that tier - however if I then gain 6 tier 2 subscribers I would have an issue that the slots don't encourage a further subscriber. Could we have additional emote slots added per person that subscribes at that tier?

    Eg: I get 9 tier 2 subbers I would get 10 tier 2 emote slots (to encourage a further subscriber each time) and so on - 20 Tier 2 subbers gets 21 slots etc.

    Personally I would have no issue if you lose subscribers at that tier you also lose emote slots at that tier so its a two way process.

15. Allow streamers/subscribers to use Follower Emotes in Whispers

    Follower Emotes are some of the most used emotes in the channel and are sort of a bonding glue, and it's a major emotional disconnect to not be able to whisper these emotes in messages to fans.

    Streamers should be able to use their own Follower Emotes. Beyond that, allowing followers or subscribers to whisper the streamer back using those same emotes would be amazing.

    Maybe have different types of designs for VIP badges for viewers and friends because I personally like to VIP my friends but at the same time I would like some viewers to be VIP alternatively add in a friend badge maybe and keep VIP's for viewers

17. Creator new feature rollout status

    It would be nice to know approximately how long we will have to wait for some of these new features to rollout for affiliates. With the follower emotes I waited months (checking my emotes section daily) to see when they would unlock as I already had emotes waiting. Now I find the same thing happening for animated emotes. I rushed some animated emotes hoping I would have them immediately and I am now in the same cycle checking daily as I have no way of knowing when my channel will actually get the slots.

18. API for renaming an emote (not emote prefix)

    Would like to be able to send an (authorized) API request to rename one emote to another, for example swapping an "angel/halo" emote with a "devil/horns" emote, or mixing up (or unmixing) all emotes for a redemption so that anyone typing an emote gets something random. Would be a fun way to interact with chat but there is no way to do it without manually deleting/reuploading the emotes in question, or renaming them to temporary names, swapping, etc... all by hand. Not very spontaneous/fun/interactive.

    Personally, I have wanted to have Tetris-related emotes for some time, but because the pieces are letter-shaped (LJSZTOI), I cannot reflect this significant part of my channel. I understand why these emotes can be harmful on other channels, but when they are restricted to just my own, I should be allowed to take the risk that people will be less-than-wholesome with them.

20. Help file Hype Train Emotes Image Map

    When putting the Hype Train Emotes on the Help pages, could you add an image map so that hovering over each icon will give its chat phrase. This would allow people the option to type each one into chat to work out what ones they do or don't have without trying to look at the smaller icons in chat interface.
