Allow Subscribers to use Follower Emotes in Any Channel

Currently, Follower Emotes can only be used in the channel they're for, while the user is followed to the channel. This means as a broadcaster, I have to decide between which emotes can't be used anywhere else, and which I can provide to followers to use in my channel without a subscription.

Ideally, it would be nice if subscribers to a channel would be able to use Follower Emotes anywhere on Twitch, as they currently use Subscriber Emotes. This would give an added benefit to subscribers, with additional emotes in other channels, while still allowing followers to use the selected Follower Emotes within your own channel, and no painful decision.

    Yes! 100% agree with this. Subscribing means you can use the extra emotes outside too. If, as a follower, they are getting used to using that set of emotes in your channel that means they will want to use them outside too which will potentially convert them into a subscriber.

    this would drive people to follow streams just for emotes, BUT, that means clicking on a channel they might not have clicked on before, giving the streamer an opportunity to retain that viewer, which leads to the viewer subbing/donating etc. I don't see a downside to be honest

    agreed! I don't think the emotes should be restricted to a channel. Personally me... I think it should apply to everyone, not just subscribers but I digress!

    If you need a money spin on it Twitch -- if I see cute emotes I generally check out the persons channel and more than often will sub to use the cute emote.. So all in all, I'm sure if you gave people the option YOU would be making more of that money you want :)
