More Emotes for Affiliate Streamers
I feel as a small streamer we dont get enough emote slots.
The 5 you unlock for 50 Subs, and the 2 extra for the Tier 2 and 3.
I feel like 10 emote slots would be a good fit for a affiliate streamer.
Not everyone gets partnered and i feel the emote slots are a bit unbalanced.
Of course this is how i see it. There could be a reason that i am not aware of.
But i feel with the recent changes smaller streamers arent really getting a chance.
I really feel like 10 (2 being the other Tier subs) Would be a good handle.
Or even opt out of The other 2 Tiers, )if they choose) and just have a Tier 1, and have 10 full emotes.
Talk about some happy affiliates!!
Hey All!
Based on feedback from the community we are excited to share that we are upping the initial amount of emotes that are unlocked for Affiliates to five! Through reaching different milestones you will be able to unlock up to nine emote slots total.
This update starts rolling out today, and we expect all Affiliates to have access to these additional slots over the next several weeks. And, yes Partners, this change will carry over and increase the slots you have available as well unless you’ve already unlocked the maximum amount.

This is a fair one question!
me goal is bored afther limited 5 Emote slots.
What Twitch does not yet understand that many viewers collect emote, Especially beautiful and Unique Emots and cards.
Which makes them subscribe. but if no new emoji are added, many no longer subscribe in our experiences. And they also say this to the streamers themselves. We will no longer receive new emotes from you FAQ.Twitch works small affiliate streamers against restricting small streamers, who work ******* viewers. especially small countries.
Twitch spit on affiliate streamers. is good to notice. While the Partners get everything put in their ***, and get everything at companies everywhere. Twitch is going to have fun demonizing clay streamers.
quickly notice mainpage twitch usually big streamer partners when advertising is on. who no longer need that support.
Twitch Forgets a Case Small streamers worldwide bring in more cash than those few big streamers. Small streamers streaming on more platforms at the same time, transferring people from YT dlive.tv ect to Twitch. this is what the ladies and gentlemen at twitch often forget.
Yes more Emotes for viewers is more subscribe
Lowering tier 2 and three price is more subs in tier 2 and 3 with more emotes in addition to tier a lot more emotes.Even streamHeroes understands this and there you can craft cards and even buy some kind of pokemon cards as a collection. might also be an idea within Twitch. money is money..
Yes I support this topic with Yes
Many more Emotes and especially small streamers help more than the big boys and girll partner , many of which don't even have more than 30 viewers. number of viewers means nothing when you see how many Partners have very few viewers left. Take a couple of super big streamers then. they are always in the usa, with a few outliers in the EU.affiliate emots
tier 1 max 50
tier 2 Max 100
tier 3 max 150
this push sub higher for streamer as twitch.@twitch.tv keep it in your mind.

Everyone's up in arms about hate raids, and to some justifiable end, but that's just the current inconvenience caused by hateful individuals. Trolls will always be a problem to some extent, so in the interest of furthering growth:
You already transcode a streamer's source as a necessary function of the website. You then lottery other transcode options to affiliates. However, not just covid-19 related, but for ease of reach to people watching on their lunch break on their phone, or in areas with data caps: Give 160p transcode to all streams to enable more mobile use, as well as 360p to give users on smaller bandwidth or a data budget the ability to tune into their favorite affiliates without having to buffer constantly or choose between watching a stream or playing their favorite games, because we both know how that will go. The backend load of reducing other midrange transcodings and should enable the 160p/360p arguement with an actual processing cost improvement to twitch and thus enable more total twitch use meaning more ads or subs and more revenue while also allowing more growth.
Also, where emotes are concerned, follower emotes have been in beta long enough, give them to all affiliates, and perhaps to a portion of your more active non-contracted streams. These cost almost no back-end and give affiliates who have not unlocked their upper limit on emote count some breathing room to pander to whatever loyal followers they do have. Big picture, if someone who can't afford to subscribe now or isn't able to, but has a good time in more streams, they're more likely to be a paid participant in twitch going forward, and a non-contracted streamer who finds the experience on twitch to be genuine is more likely to sign on.
As far as animated emotes go, I think it's silly to limit these to partners, since it's not as though twitch goes and creates the emotes for creator channels, and I would request you give at least 1 animated emote slot to all affiliates, and possibly pursue a custom cheermote slot as well.
Additionally, I'd like to see a reduction to the cannibalism in twitch. I don't have a good suggestion for this, but of small partner and affiliate streamer subscriptions from what I've witnessed this last year are mostly from streamers to other streamers. Usually to spark hype or initiate a train, and I'd like to see twitch handle an option of communal growth, not just individual growth, so that streamers can support other streamers without 100% of the revenue they generate inevitably going to twitch after all the fees and tax. Perhaps subscriptions received by a streamer being received as subtokens that they can then spend? which are automatically converted through the old metric after so many days or by choosing to convert to revenue? This as opposed to my other suggestions will probably not get a positive reception as it is technically a loss to revenue in the short term for twitch, but I think it has the merit to help people grow especially at lower levels and also enable communal support on a wider basis.
I want to touch on VoDs. Very often there are portions of my stream I do not want to have twitch record. My rants, or winding down stream with some homies on a trashy gacha. I would like an easily accessible option to toggle storing a broadcast mid-stream. I know this is difficult to do easily, but should be achievable with some effort, perhaps from within the creator dashboard.
Lastly, recently played games should be replaced with a "upcoming games/content" that can be chosen to give an idea of what's on deck for a creator, and should not be driven strictly by what's been played in the last however many days.

Affiliates really do deserve a few more emote slots....
I think 10 would be perfect.
2 for the tier slots instead of just 1 would really help out a lot as well.I've been an affiliate for over a year now and I have so many great ideas for emotes but the slots we have make it so I have to really narrow down my options to a select few, which can hinder growth a bit on the platform when compared to partners who have 5x the amount of slots.
Might just be my option but this seems like a really simple change that would greatly benefit both sides for Twitch and for their Content Creators. Please consider it, I've been putting so much time and effort into my stream I don't feel like I'm asking a lot from twitch after putting over 1,500+ hours into it so far.

that's what I think, we "LITTLE" streamers, how do they pretend that we have 50 MONTHLY SUB? with 5-10 spectators? just to get 5 emotes .... FIVE.

I don't know why I didn't think of a paywall option, but that is an excellent suggestion, valkariye. They could do like $5 a slot and I bet they'd make a killing from all the affiliates who want more emotes. Not too pricey but still high enough for Twitch to make a nice extra chunk of funds with the volume.

I feel like Affliliates are limited in their growth because of the hard 5-emote cutoff. Sure there's the bit emotes and BTTV, but I wouldn't mind if the Tier 2 and 3 emotes only became available at Partner and get those slots over to Tier 1. I also wouldn't mind if Twitch gave Affiliates the one-time option to pay for a certain amount of emote slots to be added to Tier 1. That way, everyone has their own choice of whether or not they want emotes to be added or not.

I agree!
Small channels are difficult to subscribe to, and even that is recognized as real-time aggregation rather than accumulation, so there are many difficulties in expanding the slots of emoticons.
Personally, the reason why there are fewer slots is not only greeting emoticons, but also smiling emoticons, crying emoticons, etc. It can't contain basic human emotions.
I hope it will be supported not only for partners but also for affiliated streamers.
I'm glad to see your consensus. Twitch would like a positive review.

I agree! Most times you see people sub or gift subs it's usually Tier 1, anyway.

Just giving affiliates half the opportunity that partners have would give us 35 tier slots and we got 7.

We should get more emote slots at start cause u need to have i think 10 subs to get a second slot

I would be happy to give up tier 2 and tier 3 subscriptions and have those 2 emotes slots at tier 1.
I think its hard for people to commit 9.99 and 24.99 just for an emote. Twitch wont change the pricing structure so for affiliates just get rid of them and give us 1 tier with more benefits -

Yes, that would be great! Great value for the Subs, not just the affiliates. Double happy customers!

Being able to unlock more slots as an affiliate would be amazing for the affiliates as well as Twitch itself would be able to continue to profit from the revenue. Sure, everyone strives to be a partner, but some people have had amazingly supportive communities and should be able to have those high subpoint totals mean something more, even if to a lesser degree than a Partner.

A lot of smaller streamers don't have the means to grow partly due to the limitations put in place by Twitch where a new affiliate can only have ONE tier 1, ONE tier 2 and ONE tier 3 emote.
When a viewer subscribes to a channel they want to be rewarded with emotes to express themselves as well as join in on conversations, memes and other means that the stream host is using to engage their audience.
This idea is great but restricting smaller streamers to just a single emote in each tier doesn't give an incentive for viewers to subscribe when $5 only grants them access to one emote when other more established channels have 3, 4, 5 and beyond for the same price.
To get to the point, I think that smaller channels should be permitted THREE tier 1 emote slots to begin with as the $5 asking price for just a single emote does not appear worth it to a lot of viewers and hinders some content creators growth creating a paradoxical loop where channels can't reach 15 sub points for more slots if no one is willing to sub because they can't offer their audience value for their buck.

Giving the twitch users more options with the Emotes and ways to create their own emotes as well.

You could also add in the Sub Points don't reset when a Sub expires, so that this idea can also/instead be manifested, rather than having to more likely start over and over. Esp for small streamers.

It will be nicer to increase the emote slots for affiliates to unlimited (per number of subs you have ofc). As an affiliate with a following with which you can already run subathons, it is completely useless, cause regardless of how many subs you get, you can't unlock new emotes. Hence I can't run events like this until I am partner. Twitch will actually make more money by making this cause they take higher percentage from subs from affiliates, so why not?

I know it is soooo great to complete the goals and strive for it. But i think at the beginning affiliates streamer should have a little bit of variety about emotes.
We have one slot for every Tier and this is a little sad. Because I have emotes waiting to be added. I don't want to skip goals. Completing them always makes everyone happy. But just please would you give the affiliates the option to add at least 2-3 emote for Tier 1 subscription instead of one? It is a bit difficult to reach 25 subscribers to have 3 emotes at the beginning. If we have this variety, I feel like we can better accomplish the other emote goals and encourage more people to subscribe.

For those of us with very supportive communities we should be able to unlock more emote slots.
I most likely will not get partnered as i do not play games with high viewer counts but i have hit 200 sub points because of the support i receive.
I would like to be able to keep unlocking emote slots, currently the amount you can unlock is very low.
