This really isn't just a matter of convenience or even clutter. There's also an element of safety and well-being involved. Personally, seeing TotalBiscuit's face for the L U L emote every time I open up my emote list is a literal trigger for a panic attack for me because of his sexist cult harassing me off other social media platforms. I already use Nightbot to remove it from my stream's chats, but being able to hide the emote outright, both in my emote selection screen and when people use it in other's stream chats would be immensely helpful in not being forced to dredge up old memories of harm being inflicted upon me every time I use the platform.

I'm sure there's other emotes that have similar effects on the mental health of marginalized people. There's a lot of pepe emotes floating around that are most widely used by neonazi groups, so being able to at least keep these emojis out of our streams would be wonderful since Twitch clearly appears intent on keeping said neonazis on the platform because profits. >.>

yo what the heck I was just going to support this suggestion because I didn't like some of the emotes I currently have unlocked, but after seeins the comments it seems that this idea can help tons of people as well, please Twitch add some sort of feature to let us deleted already unlocked emotes or hide them into oblivion.

Cmon Twitch! Let us remove emotes of people we block/unfollow. I have to look at the emotes of someone who emotionally abused me and caused my anxiety levels to spike to levels I never want to be ever again. It makes me hurt just looking at them... Do us all a favor and implement this!

Please allow us to hide emotes, there is someone I have blocked who was emotionally abusive and manipulative to me, and I see his emotes in my list and it makes me physically ill.

Every single time I use mobile, I have to stare at the face emote of someone who sexually assaulted me at Twitchcon after a party. I have to be reminded of him all because I donated a while back. Please, I am begging you guys here. Please allow us to remove emotes of people we no longer follow.

Please allow users to remove/adjust emotes from channels. It’s a matter of clutter, because at a certain point having too many emotes makes finding the emote you want difficult.

Also, I have emotes from channels that I no longer subscribe to stuck permanently in my emote section. I don’t know if the streamer is gaming the system, but I’d prefer not to have emotes from channels I’m not interested in.

Any update, Twitch Support? I'd like to see at least a small response, if possible. If anyone maybe knows of any browser extensions, maybe? That would be good. I understand that it's extremely distressing for many to see emotes that remind them of a rough time.

I agree. Streamers can ban you at any moment for the most petty things while you're be stuck looking at their emotes that remind you of them.

It's not just a matter of making the emote experience simpler, but keeping it enjoyable.

I would really appreciate it if Twitch could do something about this. I once mistakenly supported a couple of streamers who turned toxic and extremely jealous all because of numbers and I'd rather not be constantly reminded of them.

I had a falling out with a nasty toxic streamer and not only is this person both blocked, and banned but for some reason, I am now seeing his bit emotes which I DON’T want to see in my emote selection!

Yup, I have no idea what I did to earn the CelebrateKpop emotes but whatever it was I've regretted it ever since and I can't get rid of them

I would really like to have the option to hide emotes that are from streamers that I have blocked etc. Or from gifted sub channels that I don't want to use etc. There are a lot of unecessary emotes available for myself to use & I don't really want to see them as it blocks up the list for the emotes that I want to see

This should be an option for both streamers and viewers. Some of us have phobias and are given emotes via hype train, gifted sub, bits, etc or no longer wish to see certain emotes when we visit other streams. It’s great that creators can block an emote from their chat but the individual user should be allowed to hide certain emotes from appearing in their menu if they wish.

please !!!!!!!!!!! i made the terrible mistake of supporting a toxic and disgusting streamer that is unfortunately still on twitch. i don't want to see their emotes anymore but i've unlocked up to 4 bits emotes...

THIS PLEASE!!! I earned a bit emote badge from a streamer I used to be friends with and it's very annoying having to see their annoying face show up on my screen. Especially since I have blocked them? Why would anything to do with them show up on my twitch?
