Don’t require category/game for schedule
I don’t think you should have to set a game for the new schedule, just day and time should be required as many don’t have the same game schedule week after week.
Lots of us variety streamers change what games we play each week so you shouldn’t have to select a game for the schedule, just the days and times so viewers know you when are going live.
Thank you all for your input! We’re happy to announce that the category or game is no longer required.

There's a bug in the current implementation: if I clear the game on an existing entry, then save, it keeps the old game. Gotta send that blank in the request data so it gets updated.

i agree! sometimes i have a few things i want to do so i post a poll the morning of and have my community vote. i'd hate to just pick a category i stream sometimes and then someone thinks that if they come that day that i'm definitely streaming that category and then i'm not. and i'd hate to have to constantly change it.

@grumtastic yes but that is a category in iteself pretty much for game demos only. Makes more sense not to require a category at all unless you want to. Your viewers know you switch games around as a variety streamer

EITHER let us select multiple games for a stream so people can see our variety or make it so the game is not a requirement. However this is the biggest thing I noticed RIGHT away.

I second this.
I as a variety streamer cannot define what I'll play in advance, I play whatever I decide to play. Sometimes that'll be Fortnite, sometimes that'll be Rocket League, sometimes something totally different. My schedule stays the same, the games don't.

I don't mind the category for schedule... actually like it. What I would RATHER see though, is the ability to set the category by day of stream, all in one go. It's a bit confusing to "save a schedule" and then have to "add" another schedule. It's all one schedule here.

First thing that I noticed. Would love if we could only put down time and day.

there is the option of "games and demos"

Some users do not know what we will do specifically in our live and we are improvising on the fly, could put a category that was a MIX, in this category would not only still play along the streaming.

Agreed, variety streamers need to be able to just set a schedule without a game

I agree with this! We can use the description to say what games are coming up pretty much on our own.

I would agree with this! I like to switch and swap what I play so being able to set a general type of game or not having to be specific would be great!

If there is going to be a requirement for a category, there should also be an option for the schedule event to *not* be recurring, and allow you to plan in advance a week or two if you were so inclined.

Basically came here to post this. :) I appreciate that some streamers have a set of 2-3 games that they play, or art, cooking, etc. at certain days, but many of us don't.

Dont require a game, category, and title for our stream schedule because for us streamers who like to mix it up each day and not know what what we stream each day .

According to what I was told on Twitter, it auto-senses your time zone (how, not certain). But also speaking up in support of this. Please let us set a schedule without a Category/Game for each time slot.

As a variety streamer my games change from day to day, I don't set in stone what I'm playing until the day of the stream and sometimes my viewers choose via social media. My panel has my schedule also so this is a double feature.

Yes, please this! I don't ever 100% know what game I'm going to be playing until I actually start streaming! I'd hate for someone to show up for a game I decided not to play. -- Perhaps let us just type a short blurb in the box, in case we have plans for a special event, like a charity stream, viewer night, a 12-hour stream, or a sub-a-thon? That way, we wouldn't have to commit to a particular game, but it still offers details about our plans for a certain day?
Time zones are also an issue, maybe a count-down to the next time we're scheduled to be live?

That’s a good point too @missariella

I also feel as though if you could do something in regards to time zone... Or is it going to automatically set the times for the timezone the viewer/reader is in?
Edit: Can it be up to down instead of left to right? Haha
