I understand you want to make the platform more accessible for the visually impaired and that's great. I believe the decision to remove accessibility options is moving in the wrong direction. First of all you should add more terms and tags that are inclusive to the visually impaired instead. Secondly the word "Blind" does not ONLY apply to peoples with disabilities. It is basically the only word in the English language that correctly and accurately describes what is going on with the playthrough. The word Blind means - lacking awareness, judgment, or perception. It makes little sense to say you are trying to increase accessibility options by taking them away. I am a person with my own disabilities and all my content was "Blind Playthroughs" and you removed my accessibility to the platform.

The way Twitch currently works, it is very hard for an audience member to know if a stream they are entering could contain flashing images or lights. This is especially dangerous to viewers with a sensitivity to light. It could cause physical discomfort, pain, and in extreme cases death. Creators can be nice and warn their audience, however since new viewers can join at any time it is unreasonable to place the burden of constant warnings on a creator. So how do we fix it?
I propose a new simple feature that can create mass warning and help prevent this issue in the first place
Creators can check a box before beginning a stream that says something similar to "content may contain flashing images/lights." If this box has been marked, when a viewer enters the stream a pop-up will appear displaying the message. The pop-up needs to be closed via an "x" symbol to ensure sensitive viewers see the message. However this can be annoying and offputting to viewers without light sensitivities. On the audience side, a new setting under "preferences" appears. This turns the feature off for those who dont need it. The setting says something like
"Warn me about flashing images on/off."
However the default is the setting on so that light sensitive viewers know about the setting. To ensure non-sensative viewers know the warnings can be disabled, the pop-up also displays a separate message which says "these warnings may be turned off in settings." Lastly some creators may not mark a stream as containing flashing images. While it is impossible to rectify all cases of this it is easy to regulate some of it. If a game contains a flashing light warning and the streamer has selected that game as the stream category than the stream will automatically be marked and warn viewers.
While its absurd to ask creators to be responsible for these warnings as viewers are constantly joining at different points, a new feature similar to this one would improve the lives of many and make Twitch a more accessible platform.

The editable portion of the chat box contains not just the edit area but a bits button and an emote button. Typing on mobile can be tough and often I want to edit my message before posting to fix typos. After making edits in the middle of the message I often want to go to the end of the message and fix the last word or add something to the message.

The problem? It's very difficult, even if using a stylus, to get the edit caret to the end of the text because the bits button is there.

Since mobile devices have to use touch points, we need to have a bit of additional space between the end of the editable area and the bits button so that we can actually edit the end of the message. This is an issue Slack had when it put buttons in the edit box and was able to fix by making the edit area a bit shorter and the buttons a bit further to the right of the end of the edit box.

I am requesting the addition of some tappable space between the end of the editable area and the bits button. Alternately maybe the bits button could move somewhere else, although I'm no sure where and we wouldn't want the same issue with just the emote button. I know it's valuable real estate, but accidentally hitting the bits button over and over again while trying to edit text is extremely frustrating. This could also be considered an accessibility issue.

My eyesight sucks and I have ADHD and dyslexia, so reading chat is already hard. I have my second monitor set to 200% text scaling just to be able to read it while streaming.

There’s been so many times I’ve missed that different people have chatted because their usernames “blend in” - ie, for whatever reason a lot of people have their names set to that “dingy” teal which doesn’t contrast well. Add lowercase long-ish usernames, and I’m really slowing down to keep track of who’s who. Same for raids, when a bunch of unfamiliar usernames come blazing into chat.

(It’s pretty mortifying to notice that you’ve missed the fact that they’re someone else, or actually multiple people, because you got confused.)

If there could be a way to use a streamer-picked “color palette” to (randomly?) assign as a way to “highlight” their usernames, I’d feel so much more at ease.

(My color palette would be darker desaturated colors so I don’t sear my eyeballs.)

A subtle indicator that their username is ‘ye’ long with a glance at my second monitor, with different blocks of color behind individual usernames... that would seriously help people like me and anyone else who might have difficulties with sight, reading, and processing information.

I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t “stick” to a person’s username between streams. It would be pretty cool to allow followers to choose their highlight (lowlight?) knowing that it helps me out, though.

In lieu of that... symbols? Indentation? Just something to break it up into something more distinct for us small streamers? Please, Twitch?

I can’t express how difficult and awful it feels to struggle with the most quintessential aspect of twitch...

I have a visual disability, and it is ******* my eyes to associate a channel logo to the streamers name.

Prior to the visual update, the channels found on the left side, when collapsed, only shows the logo, but when you mouseover, it expands the channel view and shows all of the streamers name.

How it is now, I either have to expand the channel view, or mouse over each individual streamer to see who it is. Please revert it back to 'expand on mouseover' in collapse mode, rather than 'show info of a single streamer mouse over' in collapse mode.

We NEED the option to turn off things we wish not to use or see.

I don't need a daily notification about twitch prime, when i don't have it or even want it.

Turn off "Twitch Suggestions", basically you're entire front page. It's essentially useless to me.

Hide extensions before i enter a stream. Some people litter their screens with extensions and it's a giant turn off, let the viewer decide if we want them up or not. Instead of always being auto on.

I think i'm making my point with what i'm asking for and it's NOT that hard of a concept. GIVE THE VIEWERS OPTIONS AS WELL. Not just force them to use/see things they have no interest in.
