Accessibility Warning tags for Games.
Accessibility is very important to not only me but also my stream and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. It would be amazing if we can get some warning tags for things from Epilepsy to Colorblind viewers. This would not only warn our viewers but can also save a life. The worst thing we want as streamers is to hurt our viewers and have no control over it. These tags and be pre implemented or something we can add given game reviews. These tags can vary and even help those with mental health with warning tags for possible triggering content in a game.

This is incredibly important. I try to mention them in the title, with timers and commands in chat, and sometimes with a visual trigger warning on screen. However, members of my community have still been caught unawares. And I mean that not just for physical health-related warnings, but also for mental-health warnings like trigger warnings for certain kinds of violence. That does real harm to people, sometimes ruining an important moment coming up or hitting someone at a moment they're trying to distract themselves. I think an optional trigger warning that pops up over the video in some way, almost like the "Mature Content" warning would work. But for those who want it or like to discuss heavy topics, this is very necessary to protect people. Please do this, I've been wanting something like this for years!

This would be extremely helpful. It is hard to consistently remind new people of the lighting warnings I have on stream and not everyone looks at the commands in chat. This is absolutely needed for the safety of our communities.

epilepsy, colorblind, and lets not forget people who suffer from seizures, or gets them frequently...i stand by this and it needs to be at the forefront.

No question about how good/useful an idea this is.

I agree. I just played a game that's heavy on strobe effects and was REALLY scared that it barely showed a seizure warning every time I played (Ruiner). These tags would greatly improve warnings signs and let the audience know what the content of the game has, giving them ample time to prepare for such intense sequences. Let's get this rolling.

I personally try to emulate this functionality by throwing a bunch of emojis on the stream title, with their meaning explained in my panels, as well as visible warnings on-screen, but since these require viewers already knowing how they work, it won't help people joining for the first time (or people not reading the panels, which tends to be most people).
Ideally, I would love to be able to select a series of flags for my content when setting up the stream, just like setting the title and category, that would result in a pop-up for viewers joining the channel warning them of the content.
It would also be awesome if users could filter by these tags. If I had photosensitive epilepsy I would love to be able to filter out streams marked as "dangerous" for me. This filter could just show a warning icon on the stream thumbnail instead of hiding them completely.

Great idea! I think a system with a little pop-up that comes up when you first click in to a stream would work great. It could be disabled from account settings for users who don't need it, and streamers could add their own custom content warnings to be as detailed as their audience needs.

Accessibility and content warnings are so important, and it would be amazing to avoid harming and / or potentially triggering streamers and viewers.

This is incredibly important and should be implemented. As well as allowing streamers to add tags manually, games that are known to contain potentially triggering content should automatically have tags applied.

The terms of service in Twitch outlines warnings about epilepsy, motion sensitivity, and flashing lights. It also warns about game titles and content that feature the same.
As far as other means of accessibility, it's not just about Twitch's policies - it's about catering to our viewers needs. Everything from colorblindness, hearing impairment, enlarged text, close captions, blurred motion graphics, high pitched sounds/unscheduled sounds.
Our content is there to reach our audience in the best way possible, to serve them well. A tag to help identify such high end content would reassure and caution a community that may be sensitive to some viewers present at home, including temporary visitors also present in the room that may become triggered by the elements of that content.

The fact that this isn't standard is wild to me. We already have a maturity warning. Thanks for bringing up this fantastic idea yesterday and pushing through to post this!

So a lot games on twitch can trigger epilepsy seizure, maybe add possiblity to mark stream as that that can trigger epilepsy seizure, and mark some games (like minecraft, fortnite). think it will be good idea to add in options, something for people with photosensitive epilepsy, when someone have this option, this person will not see animated emoji, streams that can trigger this seizure and then this video will not show to people with epilepsy option, and it will be good, if this option will be on, if someone don't have account, and automatically on after creating account, but of course this option can be enabled after in options

With the ever growing cases of seizures and headaches from games and streams that induce a lot of flashing images, having a tag specifically for possible cases of epilepsy would help more than ever. People shouldn't worry about having to endanger their health for the sake of watching someone play a game.
