Disability program.
Hi. I have an idea for disables to not worry about getting big donations and lose their medical etc. I am mentally disabled and I been wanting to stream. Why I can't is I am afraid one day if lucky if I get donations over 2000$ I will lose my medical and my SSI. A lot of people like me. Worst or not. We can't have our dream jobs or even games for fun! I have an idea of maybe once hits 2000 on earnings from subs, bits, etc. Rest maybe goes to a charity of choice. Disable people get thing called Twitch Bank. Meaning anything pass 2000$ goes to twitch and gives the streamer points to either donating to charity, trips, clothes, games, games currency and so on. Can't we make twitch a better place by helping others who can't make a lot least have fun without worries?! I want to support those like me. Make twitch bigger. Thank you.

This is a great concept! I hope Twitch does something about this!

@FoxxPrints - That would be great, but unfortunately I myself who is not disabled, and have come to this suggestions page per the direction of Twitch Help. I myself have friends who have a disability albeit physical or mental. The problem is, I for one would love to be able to sub to my friend, but unfortunately am not able to do so because, of the monetary side.
Being a twitch streamer and seeing a sub pop up, especially as someone who is new, or just received their affiliate, is probably one of the most exciting things. I know at least for me it was, seeing someone sub to my channel, let alone follow.
On top of that, Point Redemption, Bits, Emotes, all that fun stuff you get with being an affiliate.

I definitely agree that’s my issue of wanting to stream too!

I didn’t even consider that this could be an issue, but it’s a good point. However instead of automatically going to charity, why don’t they add the option to stagger the payout? That way your Social Security doesn’t get ruined and you can spend it on bills/charity at your discretion.

As an intermediate solution, you can start streaming and not activate twitch affiliate. That way people can't sub or send bits so you can't earn any money through Twitch.

This is a great idea and I think more things like this should happen in real life especially without having to worry about it or being an accountant.
In my country if I get a certain level of "disability pension" it would be illegal for me work which I find completely insane and aibelist.
We still use the terminology of "invalid" which I find horrendous.
That aside I think this would be great for inclusivity and making twitch accessable and it wont cost them that much and the profits would go to your community.
It almost becomes social entrepreneurship at that point :D

Wouldn't this problem just be solved by cancelling the donation and having your bank/paypal/whatever send the money back to the donator?
