  1. I get that the original idea of VIP badges was to recognize valuable members of a streamer's community, but the actual use of it is different in many cases and it is instead often used to give the streamer a better way to recognize users of a certain significance in chat.
While that may often also include valuable community members, the main use is often to highlight real life friends, acquaintances, family members, other streamers, ... and more.

The problem with that is the limit of 100 VIP slots that is reached at the highest level, and while that might…

  2. I know it might be suggested, but it would be nice to see mods with the editor role stand out with a pencil icon next to their username or something better than a sword? and I would like to be able to unlock more artist badges too! it would be easier to have more than 5 per channel!

  3. Currently users can be given the role of either Editor or Moderator. These roles either give too much permission (editor role), too little permission (moderator) or don't provide permission for certain things at all.

I would propose updated roles (including new ones) that would give streamers more freedom and ease in choosing people in helping them manage their channel.

    New roles:

    • Stream Manager/Admin: same as current Editor permissions (replace current Editor role - rename)

    • Editor: upload videos, download past VODs, reviewing, searching, sorting, and deleting (including mass deleting) clips, setting channel clipping permissions, ability to add markers and all the…

  4. Streamers grant the Artist role so the artist can showcase their work in the stream chat, but can't add/edit/remove emotes on the streamers behalf? Granted an artist isn't necessarily a Moderator/Editor, but this would make it a lot easier for the streamer if emotes were submitted as soon as the artist has completed the work

  5. As someone who has a lot of artists in my community making emotes, I believe that keeping the artist badge cap at 5 is extremely limiting and should be either raised or uncapped.

  9. Add a "bot" role (like "mod", "vip" and "editor"). This should allow human moderators to remove bot messages if they are unacceptable or incorrect.
This idea comes from the fact that AI bots are more and more numerous, and that AI is not perfect, and can say words or sentences prohibited on the platform.
Some trolls purposely ask these bots questions to try to make them say horrible things, with no possibility for human moderators to intervene other than by making a /clear
This will allow streamers who use such bots to avoid getting banned due to AI.

  10. Maybe a idea to give people with the editor role more permissions in a Twitch channel? For example edit emotes, change pannels, change banner etc. So a editor can support the streamer by changing things like that. Or make a different role for that. Because as a designer i always need to send the designs to the streamer and alot of streamers are busy with other stuff like there community etc.

  11. It would be amazing to have a "Junior Moderator" role

It would be a training role for new moderator with eventually restrictions

A good thing would be th possibility to see chat messages and moderation action

The idea is to be able review easily if the user would be a good fit for our moderation team

  12. Head mod - has many similar abilities as the streamer to help out like mod and unmod people, being able to also put mods in emote only and everything else and will be able to punish everyone including assistant mod except the streamer also able to choose to make someone assistant mod or even take it away and it will come with the golden mod badge or anything suitable

Assistant head mod - same thing but cant punish the streamer or the head mod and it comes with a silver mod badge or anything suitable

    whether they are a big…

  13. A few years ago, I posted an idea of an Improved Editor role, but since then that post has become a bit outdated.

In reality, it’s more than just the editor role that needs to be improved, so let’s breakdown what each role should be.

Editor - Should be able to highlight and clip/manage clips and adjust the overall appearance of a streamer’s channel.

    Features/Abilities:

    • Edit highlights and publish them

    • View analytics just like a streamer can

    • Manage clips, adjust their lengths, and titles. Credits could say Clipped by and then edited by

    • Should have a badge maybe a pencil…

  14. The editor role is too limited to produced content and does not currently allow to help the streamer during commercial ops when they ask to put something in the panels under the stream (or when you have to remove it). Or when you want to manage requests for "ban-list" (the feature to subscribe other streams ban-list or accept them), among other things.

It would be nice if editors could do this or create a role above editors to allow more channel management.

I am staff/assistant for streamers. Managing this kind of things is my role which I cannot do at…

  15. Before being given moderator status - users should be given the option to accept or decline.

Moderators should also be able to remove moderator status from themselves on any channel.

Too many times new twitch streamers are throwing Mod status at everyone that walks through the door, hoping it's their new best friend.

Where are the users right to just be a viewer?

  16. I want to suggest a Shoutout role for the purpose of only doing shoutouts. The reason is that if the broadcaster asks for a shoutout on someone, either they will do it or the mods will. But there are some cases where the broadcaster is occupied or the mods are inactive to do it. And also there are some who would be willing to do the shoutout, with the risk of improper moderation.

My suggestion for the level of moderation is similar to the VIP Role, with the same benefits of it as well.

As for the Shoutout Role Badge,…

  17. Editors should be able to delete clips from the link, not just the clip manager, just like the broadcaster can.

If you are an editor for a streamer who gets several thousand clips per stream, deleting old clips becomes a very painful experience scrolling in a list that only displays a small amount of clips at a time with no search option.

Deleting a clip that is several months old would take hours scrolling in one list making it unfeasible and the streamer themselves have to delete the clip from the link, because only they can do it easily.

    I…

  18. Channel editors already have the ability to edit nearly all stream info, such as title, category, and tags, but they cannot edit the Go Live Notification. When editors are preparing a channel before a stream, they should be able to customize this part of the stream info as well.

  19. Hi,

Many channels have a trusted moderator that manage more than the chat (others mods, vips, channel points, extensions, ...).

Some channels belongs to two or more streamers.

But actually, there is no other way than sharing an account to give owner rights (which is not a good thing to do).

Please create an admin role with the same rights as the channel owner except access to payment info (bank account) and kick/ban/delete the owner.

Or, but it's more work, the ability to create custom roles with all the different parameters (it's a bonus, admin role will be enough to fill…

  20. Hello!
I propose a new role for people who co-manage a channel. This role would have the possibility to add/modify panels, banner, emotes, give/remove VIP, maybe edit channelpoints rewards.
I guess that this feature has already been proposed many times but it seems so useful to me and posibly to many other people too.

Thanks to all the team, have a good day!
