Viewer Count WRong
Hello, my viewer count always shows 1 maybe 2 viewers, however you can clearly see multiple accounts in chat watching. So not including viewers that don't have accounts, why is my stream showing only 1 viewer?
I've seen this go both ways. I'll have more people in chat than it says are viewing, and I'll also have it say that I have a viewer when no one is actually there. Never seems to go back down to 0 if no one is watching. Just hangs at 1.
After my stream the stream summary viewers are great but it doesmt change my actual viewers for affiliation
I am still having this problem. Why is that?
Hate to be the one to break it to you, but it's gonna be tough to make a reasonable amount of money without either thousands of viewers or a few really rich ones.
Regardless, this is an issue, I posted about it too, and I hope your cat did/is doing well.
Yep. On my account. Its saying I had 57 people over all but counter would say 7-9 people at any given time. I only get the right count after I stop the stream and go look at my twitch and then I can see how many people were watching.
im sure like atleast 4 people watching me whiches they are my followers and they are chating with me at the same time but my twitch viewer count says 1 person watching xD ? can i get help please i dont feel safe with this issue .
not only that but its all wrong..... its saying that I've only AVG 2.8 viewers when I've done the math's and I'm AVG 3.19! for a big company you think you'd be able to do basic math's that you learn in grade 5. over 14 days all my AVG added up is 44.7/14=3.19 think you could at least get that right or are you just trying to make it even harder for people to get affiliated to push them to another platform genuinely confused think thats something you'd get right for how basic it is.

I Had 38 people in my stream today. easily can see all the names in chat but only 3-5 viewers showed up...really dissapointing
same here , it always lagging behind, I hate lag.
Whenever I end my stream I have 2.9 average viewers on the email they send me, but on my creator dashboard i'm at a 2.78 average viewers. Why is that?
While I understand that Twitch wants to limit bots from one IP address, it makes it infuriating to try to have friends and family that want to support you be blocked/ not shown as viewers.
I have the same issue.
I wish I could upload images to show I have found a different readings of the average views for one stream. This has happened many times, but I'll use tonight's stream as an example.
In the stream summary email it said there was an average of 1.8 views, and in the channel analytics section, when hovering over tonight's stream it said 2.1 average views.
In the stream summary section on twitch it says an average of 1 view. It doesn't show decimal places so is it using a rounding or a flooring function?
(rounding meaning to the nearest integer: 1.4 would be 1, 1.8 would be 2)
(flooring meaning always 'rounding down': 1.9 would be 1)
It is unclear which reading (1.8 or 2.1) is being used to calculate the average viewers in the stream summary section as I don't know how it's being calculated. Either 2.1 is wrong, or the 1 is wrong. Or also the 1.8, honestly at this point I have no idea.
I really wanted to just ask this as a question to get a reply, but it seems like this is the only place to submit questions.
Agreed! I have only 6 tabs open and stay active in most of them with the audio on. My view is not counted. What is going on twitch??
I recently got 79/75 viewers and i never got my chanel points i would hope yall can fix that please. Thank you
It still happens, I was watching a live on twitch the other day, we were 4 discussing and twitch said that the streamer had no one (1 viewers) How do you want our streamer to evolve with that! come on ! What is this **** !
Let's focus on number of hours divided by number of all views on channel for a better view
Best way I did it, was use a viewer count on my stream it shows me how many are actually there and it helps me know that im actually doing good or not.
