Viewer Count WRong
Hello, my viewer count always shows 1 maybe 2 viewers, however you can clearly see multiple accounts in chat watching. So not including viewers that don't have accounts, why is my stream showing only 1 viewer?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop on here to give some clarification.
Your Viewer Count reflects the total number of people watching your live broadcast, whether or not they have logged into a Twitch account. Your total Users in Chat reflects the number of logged-in Twitch accounts that are connected to your chat. In some instances, an account can be connected to your chat without watching your live broadcast - like chat bots, users in chat-only mode, or users in pop-out chat mode - which would then create a difference in your total number of Users in Chat and your Viewer Count. You can learn more about your Viewer Count and Users in Chat in this help article.
Thank you as always for the feedback!

Te recomiendo qe en vez de usar el administrador de stream uses tengas el directo abierto en tu canal directamente asi vez todo en tiempo real

So this is how Twitch is, and always will be. I've been monitoring this thread for about a year. Twitch does not care. They would have fixed it by now. They will never fix it. Time to leave Twitch behind. ******** Twitch!!!

Counters still have some issues.. :( Refreshing sometimes does the job.
I also have the following problem that i have 50 followers but the affilate achievement only counts 43. So still no affiliate :(....
Was looking really forward to this and is quite disappointing... -

the view counter is not always accurate and sometime it take time to catch up
to real-time viewers count. Also in chat users not accurate sometime the counter show for example 3 viewers but the users in chat show 7 or 8 -

And you @loadstarnarcos, even if you can be right with some of your statements, you have been rude and innapropiate with your comment, treating everybody as stupid and you the only that understands how twitch works. But the problem is not if twitch displays some discrepancy because viewers rise and falls. The problem is when you have more than 1 viewer that is watching your stream more than 5 minutes, but the count is always 1, even if they are chatting along 30 minutes, for example.
Even when counters might not be accurate up to the minute or second, there is for sure some problem counting. Maybe we are not right 100%, but the count is bugged anyway in some way.

You people don't understand math and you are not interesting. Twitch counts views in 5 minute intervals and people are joining you stream and dropping off within seconds or the first few minutes. That is why your viewer count sucks. Also Twitch compiles analytics monthly so what you are seeing by the day and week is dynamic and subject to change predicated on how many hours you are streaming based against your average viewers. Do some research guys n gals there are spreadsheet formulas available online for gaming the system and maximizing your view count based on these factors, do some research don't get discouraged. Hit this part time its playing video games, focus on you real 9 to 5 and keep grinding your view counts will go up but its entirely up to you to make your stream worth watching. BTW i am not a complete **** and i want to help, check me page @ Loadstarnarcos on twitch and i will raid your channel the next time I am live, this will provide you with at least 40 followers and hopefully help your view count. You follow me ill follow you lets grow together n stay out of the hot tubs, Chow.

I agree. This is one of those things that delay success here.

A mi igual me pasa, tengo gente comentando en el chat y casi siempre me sale 1 espectador (lo cual me baja la media de espectadores, y también desanima)

sth is wrong currently with the twitch viewer count - more people are in the chat than the viewer count shows. its going on already for the last weeks since I recognized it. It counts only the half of people and my viewer are legit not bots lol

Been noticing this issue more recently where even in the stream summary the average viewer total is not accurate or reflective of the data chart shown. Where according to the chart I had an average of 2-3 viewers but then the total tells me 1 viewer. I would imagine this is a bigger problem for larger streamers as well. On top of all of that the inaccurate average also affects my channel analytics to where my overall average continues to drop, thus preventing me from reaching affiliate. There is also the issue of having the stream summary on Twitch's website being different from the stream summary emailed to me, where the average viewer category are 2 different numbers. So which is the actual calculation of my average viewers, and even then both numbers are inaccurate based on the data that Twitch has collected throughout my stream.

This is still an issue. Me and 2 of my friends are streaming almost regularly together, and we lurk on each other's streams with other friends helping and chiming in. Our viewer counts are always inaccurate as there is clearly more than "1" or "2" people watching/lurking on our streams. Please fix this as we are all on our way to affiliate.

Bom dia.

YES this is happening to me as well. I am super close to affiliate i just need the 3 average viewers!!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT... Every time i stream i have at least 4 people in there typing and watching and lurking BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT it only says 1 viewer and then after stream I go to analytics and it says 1 viewer that stream. And it is ruining my average so idk when ! will ever hit affiliate!!! IT IS MAKING ME MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
