Viewer Count WRong
Hello, my viewer count always shows 1 maybe 2 viewers, however you can clearly see multiple accounts in chat watching. So not including viewers that don't have accounts, why is my stream showing only 1 viewer?
Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop on here to give some clarification.
Your Viewer Count reflects the total number of people watching your live broadcast, whether or not they have logged into a Twitch account. Your total Users in Chat reflects the number of logged-in Twitch accounts that are connected to your chat. In some instances, an account can be connected to your chat without watching your live broadcast - like chat bots, users in chat-only mode, or users in pop-out chat mode - which would then create a difference in your total number of Users in Chat and your Viewer Count. You can learn more about your Viewer Count and Users in Chat in this help article.
Thank you as always for the feedback!

I stream to twitch from OBS, I am having the same issue. I will have friends and viewers contact me for stream times, be up and streaming, and see 4 people in the chat talking. It shows 1 - 2 viewers. Offline i will take in feedback to see if anyone was not actually watching the stream. Everyone is watching. Also tried to run a test stream to see what was going on. Even with 4 people trying to watch the stream and rarely use chat it was still bouncing around on how many viewers were there, and that was during a test stream to adjust and find the issue. I do hope this gets resolved soon.

I seen one person comment that users in your chat are not really watching your stream, yes while some of them are bot I know that I have more than 1 viewer in my chat bc, my boyfriend watches my stream and chats in my stream along with 2 other people that i know are actually watching my stream bc they chat and ask me why my viewer count is not adding up correctly.... I understand that some people are just lurkers or bots and not really there, but when I have 5 people chatting at same that I know are real people and have actual accounts and I'm only getting credit for 1 viewer it's upsetting.... Than to add the cherry on top when my viewer count on stream has been 3 the whole time i stream and then i end stream and only get credit for a average of 1 viewer that's upsetting as well and honestly it makes me not want to stream on twitch cuz what is the point when your viewer count isn't right and this makes 2nd month that I could have been affiliated had my viewer count been correct...

Comparto tu queja, a mi igual, hay personas que me ven e incluso comentan personas y sin embargo solo me sale 1 o 2 espectadores, cuando en chat estan como 8, se que son pocas personas pero igual es algo que perjudica la media.

pretty sad that this topic doesn't even have an "investigating" stamp on it, due to the fact it's such a big thing for newer streamers. But who cares about those, right Twitch?

i have this issue as ive done the have 5 people chatting at the same time but your view counter has never put it down as me having 5 people watching so please fix this as ive had alot of people in my chat and they haven't counted on the views. the only thing let for me is the average views which is holding me back as my views went down and down thanks to this issues. as i said i have completed all the rest but the view didnt count

Having the same issue this past week. It's getting really annoying tbh. I have 3 different numbers for stream average of my last stream, too.

In Stream Summary, Average Viewers & Max Viewers is always showing 0 & 1 respectively. How it could be possible, when my Unique Viewers & Live Views always shows nearly 10. It is unacceptable & not understandable. Average Viewers & Max Viewers is showing Wrong Inaccurate Information. Please Correct it
