Having the same issue, I have a horrible auto generated one and it makes my emote name Super long now with numbers in it, this is not convenient at all. If I'm in someone's channel (whether my own or others), I want to quickly add my emote, if I can't find it, I type what I remember it's called. No one will remember mine with the auto generated nonsense.
Please Help! Thanks

This I fully agree with - although partners are allowed to adjust theirs already; I feel like this should be available to affiliates as the point in emotes is to be fun, quick and easy to use. Having the default ones given by twitch with commonly used words makes the emoticons ridiculously long in length; so much so, you usually can't remember the code to use your favourite emotes.

Allow affiliates to change their emote profix. For example, a channel with the name of "realNAME", will have their prefix automatically generated as "realna". This seriously hinders the usage of emotes in that channel, as there is barely a fraction of the actual branded name in there.

I'm on this too. If I'm not mistaken, we can change it if we change our username (?); which is odd, because I'm perfectly well with my username, I just want to change the emote prefix! Why do these things have to be attached?

I’ve been having this issue with my channel prefix because I am known as Skepy, even twitch support replied to a issue I had using skepy as my name.
My issue is having a prefix predetermined as captai131. What I would like to see as a feature is allow creators a 1 time only choice of their prefix for emotes. So instead of captai131, I could have what I really want which is a variation of skepy as a prefix.

To be able to choose the emote prefix. I don't like my emote prefix and I wish I could just type the one I had thought of.

I think this is a much cleaner system as twitch grows in to the future and there are more and more partners and affiliates. Right now ppl are taking other ppl's rightful prefixes. This also makes name changing safer prefix wise

I just got affiliate and I'm unable to save the emote prefix code for the first time.
I've tried numerous attempts at setting a prefix but just keep getting hit with a error that says the following:
`
There was an issue with your request.Your emote prefix can be updated once every name change.

Let me change my emote prefix name. apparently that was a thing but now it isnt. i dont like the one that was auto generated for me

If I can't choose the initially generated prefix, at least allow me to change it ONCE. Why do I have to be partner or change my entire username for 60 days just so I can alter the generated prefix? Having my prefix be "sektor6" is highly annoying. While I get that "Sektor" was probably taken, I could have chosen some alternative that wasn't taken instead of adding a random number.

This is so obvious, I can't believe it wasn't originally implemented TBH.

Being forced to delete an emote and reupload it for approval is unnecessary if we just want to change its name. For example, naming an emote "prefixLul" and later wanting it to be "prefixLUL" means deleting the emote and going a week or two without it while you wait for the exact same thing to be reapproved. The benefits of having a name changing option would be:
A) The new name can enter the approval queue while the emote is still usable under its old name.
B) Approving a name, rather than an emote and a name, is half as much work for those in charge of the approval process.

This would be absolutely amazing, even if there was a paid way to do so as there's understanding this is a tedious process.

Agreed, this needs to happen and should have been a default feature.

Allow Twitch Afilliates to change their emote prefix to exactly how partners are able to. If anything, simply allow the change every 6 months so it’s still somewhat limiting.
