[Test] Support Activity Feed
At Twitch we’re always trying new things, and our newest experiment is: The Support Activity Feed! This experiment will show a list of recent events in the channel above chat. If you wish to opt out, you can disable this experiment in your Leaderboard settings here: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/settings/revenue/leaderboards
This experiment and your feedback will help us continue to improve Twitch. Please comment any suggestions you have for us below. Thank you!
Hello again! Just wanted to pop in here to let y'all know we've decided to not move forward with this project at this time. We'll be keeping this post open for comments if you'd like to continue to leave us feedback on this experiment.
Thank you all for the suggestions and for continuing to better Twitch with us!

I wish to have a support activity feed in my channel no matter what. Even though my channel doesn't have much activity from stream to stream, I still want to see it on my channel to look at it. It would be nice if the timing of activities in the support activity feed works like a leaderboard. I mean there be options to make it all time, weekly, monthly, daily, hourly, or even by minutes.
I want to see Support Activity Feed once again.

There truly should never be a time where you're not allowed to opt out. What's the point?
For smaller channels that don't have much activity on single stream-by-stream bases it looks weird and ugly.
Look forward to disabling in September. Saw there's an option to disable leaderboards entirely so I think I'm gonna do that til then.

Is the support activity feed in the second phase displayed only to partner streamers but hidden to viewers in their streams? I saw in an Instagram story that a partnered streamer shared an image of her chat displaying a support activity feed on the leaderboard tab. Once I went to check on her chat as a viewer, just the support activity feed is completely invisible in my sight and not the streamer's sight.

I love the idea, but am not a fan of its current iteration. It's basically just a pre-Hype Train tracker for the moment. I would like it to be like YouTube's support feed above their chats. The bigger events need to stay on the screen longer. It's also not very exciting to look at. The text is thin and flimsy. There needs to be more color or the user needs to be able to set the color like the Hype Train banner.

I'm with what everyone is saying as far as it needs to stay longer it goes away to quick. Or maybe let us choose how long it stays. Also it needs COLOR & pop. I like how top weekly gifters (what I usually keep it on) has color & different little badges next to their names & all which I'm sure they like more too. I like the overall idea for this new leaderboard thing & it could be a game changer but it needs some tweaks. As it is now though I much prefer just top weekly gifters shown. BIG POTENTIAL THOUGH if done right

Hi,
While I'm a fan of the core concept of this feature, I don't see why the display is time-based for recent activities - I think it should just remain populated with the most recent contributions and things shouldn't be removed on it after a certain period of time. There's no reason to. -

I really like seeing them in streams, but they disappear too quickly, hopefully the duration gets extended

According to what it says there is no specific option to deactivate recent events, the truth is that it is very annoying to see it

Why did this new experiment feature disappeared for all affiliates and partners today? I check in so many of these streamer's chat through desktop and it's only top gift and top cheer leaderboard. Not anymore displaying support activity feed, but in couple of days ago it displayed for them. Did all of these streamers successfully disabled support activity feed in their channel?

I have seen this on literally every channel but mine. Would be nice If my channel had it to give proper feedback.

I literally clicked the link and tried to disable it. It literally doesn't work. I can't click the toggle to turn it off. Why is twitch so incompetent?
-
fubarsnafu5 commented
Not being able to turn it off is, simply put, outrageous. Stop trying to force us to look at what you want us to look at. if that wasn't your goal, allow us to opt out of this extremely annoying "feature".

I wish the duration on screen was longer - Like seeing a sub train in a channel and the names being completely erased. - the idea is good but I think it needs to get tweaked a bit. I am interested to see how this feature will expand if it will include regional tip options in the future or if it will all be in USD. I wish we also had the option to (scroll through leader boards like for 5 minutes show top bits, for 5 minutes show top gifters, for 5 minutes show activity feed
and have more control of the time duration per channel. is my activity feed 10 minutes, is it 4 hours is it 7 days, is it 14 days is it 30 days, is it lifetime, (such as this uservoice suggested in 2019 https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/923383-creators-and-stream-features/suggestions/38927017-different-time-settings-for-gifted-sub-leaderboard) -

Very cool idea!
Now I'm wondering if you'd be able to make it so follows show*?
*However, showing followers should be optional as some streamers may not want to know how many followers they're getting until after-stream. -

It's a great idea & a lovely new feature to implement. The one thing I'd like is for the option to change it to a creator color when it shows actual events that have happened.

YESS brilliant idea! Clear, consistent and constant communication across all three channels (visual, audio and text) are so key to keeping my viewers up to speed with me I've learned! Thanks for a super idea, can't wait to see it implemented!
