Do not discontinue the PC app
As an exclusive user of the PC app, I am disappointed of hearing of plans to discontinue the application on PC. If that is to pass, I will consider stopping using Twitch entirely.

Every day I miss the simplicity of the windows app. The ease of having Twitch always open on its own monitor. Being able to check who's streaming without having to open up a we browser. So sad to see it's gone. Can't believe just straight up removed the windows app category.

Bring back the desk top app. Since switching to Twitch TV online I experience terrible lag. Most streams will only play less than a minute, then stutters video and voice. This is very annoying and will cause me to switch to another streaming service. PLEASE either fix the streaming service via the web or bring back the reliable desk top app.

Starting the old app took 1 click and I would be able to watch my favorite streamer. Now I have to type my username, type my Passwort, checking my Mail, logging in to my Mailaccoung manually to check my spam, type the numbers, click to not change my password, click to decline add cookies and than I will be able to watch. Watching without logging in is way less hassle. Bring back the app, so I can watch with one klick.

As an update on my side, I have been finding that the browser site is in fact less optimized. With other tabs open, it's not only difficult to reach channels quickly, but also easy to lose track of the window and slower to chat or otherwise interact in.
This was not an issue in the browser client; the worst of it was simply graphical inconsistencies, and everything else worked perfectly. I'll restate that I'm rather disappointed with the lack of communication on this issue, given the evident lack of known user feedback and the lack of Twitch's own marketing of the desktop client. I recall MimosaVendetta asking Twitch on various channels for more information, and wonder whether they got any responses, either.
The primary reason that I can still use Twitch somewhat properly is because of another desktop client that works with it. I'll spare the details here, although it has not only improved and eased my use, but also optimized my ability to use the chat during my own streams. That - rather than a yeet - was what the desktop client needed.
To close my response, I'll mention to Twitch that it's never too late to reconsider. I've found that those who listen to constructive criticism tend to fare better in the quality of their work. (The Sonic movie comes to mind! I've yet to see it, but I've heard good things of it.) Twitch is perfectly capable of the same, and it would doubtlessly make their audiences happier.

Twitch is unusable for me since you disabled the desktop app and got people to switch to browsers! Error 2000 every few minutes in all browsers! Edge, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, ... Tried all the instructions I found on the web and it just doesn't work. I want the desktop app back!

I have now deactivated my account and I am waiting for the deadline for my account to be deleted. I can't use Twitch without the desktop app. Only problems in all browsers and the "great" support can't get it under control. Too bad for my friends who are streamers. They are now also considering switching platforms.

Feed back of the week, I'm using now twitch via a browser and it sucks. I have the tab bar + the address bar wich are taking useless height on my screen. That is unpleasant and decrease severly the quality of my experience. THIS plus the fact that I saw too much streamers forcing on sub and and adds, I'm minding more than twice before subing, and I don't do anymore donations. Lowering quality of services always lead to lowering supports from customers.

I won't be using twitch in a browser. I did not use the web app because I didn't want to use the web app, I do not intend to start now. I have never liked it. How stupid to be taking the app away. Your settings are not saved, you constantly have to put in that stupid auth code. I hope the streamers I do follow move to another platform.
Have you all lost your mind?

I'm not sure who's bright idea it was to discontinue the Twitch PC app, but using Twitch via a browser is basically worthless and a horrible user experience.
My settings are never saved using a browser and I have to constantly input my auth code, even though I check the box to remember my computer. This happens on both Chrome and Edge.
I'm happy to say that the majority of the streamers I follow are considering dropping Twitch completely and going to another platform due to the constant complaining of how Twitch "supports" the community.....

It still works fine on my PC.. I will keep it, if it would work! Its a great program, and not deserve what Twitch did it..

It's with a lot of disappointment I just uninstalled the twitch application. I was using it since years and it was much more convenient than using a web browser.

Sad to see the desktop app go, I`ll probably watch way less Twitch, maybe stop completely. Youtube seems the way to go from now.

I only use Twitch at home via the desktop app. In all the browsers I only have disconnections and constant problems and the support is not able to help me. Without the desktop, Twitch is useless and pointless for me because I use Twitch parallel to the Playstation or the mobile phone. It is not even supported on my Smart TV. If the desktop app really disappears, I will delete my account because otherwise it will only become a corpse of data. It's a shame for my friends what Twitch is doing.
