Get a warning to follow and unfollow someone.
This would help people like me and others who use a mobile smart phone or tablet with touch screen help people who accidentally unfollow or follow. For example, "I unfollowed someone while watching them when I grabbed my phone, so now whenever I go back to look at my following section, he's not there." So, instead of having it so you automatically follow or unfollow, it will give a warning saying yes to follow or yes to unfollow and no to follow or no to unfollow. In my opinion, I think this is required with most of the things I have used that give warnings.
Thank you for all your feedback! We have launched an update that will now prompt you to confirm you’d like to unfollow the channel. This currently is only available for web, but we hope to add this for mobile/tv apps at a later date.
Edit: minor correction, this is also available on mobile =)

The fact we’re basically punished for accidentally unfollowing someone is very upsetting, especially when we’ve been following them for a long time, please change this, pretty please.

It has happened to almost everyone, you unfollow your favorite twitch streamer by accident and you lose all of your followage. It could be months lost, it could be years of followage lost. For some people, the followage they have with their streamers its very meaningful, and when they lose it all with one accidental click it can be pretty disappointing. This "confirm unfollow" feature is already in Twitch mobile, but not for Twitch on desktop. Please make it so that when you click unfollow you have to confirm again if you want to unfollow with a yes or no option for Twitch on desktop. Accidents happen.

Why is this a thing on mobile but not on desktop? Hmm? And there are people that refollow for the alerts. There should really be a warning that says like something.
Follow age can play an important function, for stuff like "Follow Age restricted chats" or being excluded from bots because not meeting a certain criteria anymore.
It can ruin a part of the experience.
And if that isn't reason enough, there are laptops with touch aswell, doesn't differ that much from what a mobile phone is.

It is very annoying when we click the follow button wrongly, to cancel a followed channel.
I know this issue could be the humen error, atleast some part of the responsible
on user side.Twitch included this on IOS device to avoid wrongly click on follow button, please put same function to browser version.
I believe it will help most of the user, no matter streamer or viewer.
Thank you.

Sometimes you accidently unfollow a streamer you like, to prevent this add a unfollow button.
(I know this might be bad to clean up your following list but I think its a important feature twitch needs). -

Sometimes u accidently unfollow a stream you actually like, to prevent this please either implement a confirm unfollow button or add a timer which only makes the unfollow effective after for example 24 Hours.

this really need to be either default on or or opt-in control in account settings
1. you can by mistake click on unfollow while the page loads wrong
2. i had several cases of losing follower status (while being subscriber)i would prefer need to confirm unfollow
and even decide if that needs 2FA for subscribed channels -

As I'm sure this happens with many people on either their PC or Mobile phones, but there's nothing that pops up after hitting the follow/unfollow buttons asking us if we really want to "unfollow for example." There are a few streamers who I've been following and supporting for some time and one of them I happened to hit the follow *in this case unfollow" button and now It doesn't track the time I followed them after hitting the follow button again. Can you help people like us and tell us there's a way to get our follow "time" back again please.
