Keep the Reruns Feature Going!

There are currently whispers that Twitch is planning to remove the rerun feature. I can provide a reasonable case why this feature should remain. I'm sure there are many communities who utilise this feature to come together and watch broadcasts outside of their time-zone, and have seen as much from twitter. I, and many others, view reruns for a different reason. We're a part of Reckful's community, many in our community only interact in chat during the reruns his Editors put on for us from time to time.

Not only do these reruns facilitate us to remember and celebrate the life of Byron, they also help us stay together as a grieving community and look out for one another. I can't tell you how many late night chats I've had, helping, sharing moments, and laughing with other chatters in Reckful's community during Reruns. I've even gotten to meet a few IRL.

I firmly believe getting rid of this feature kills our community, and forgets about one of the most important streamers the platform has had. Even as I write this, I'm watching and chatting in a Rerun of an old Hearthstone VOD.
Please keep Reruns alive!

    reruns should be a part of twitch. Specially if the streamer goes on vacation, he can simple run his own vods or highlights.
    It is a nice way to let the stream still run even of you personally not their. Also you can still come to your own chat, and chat their.

    Also this means you can/anyone else can enjoy your past streams even a growth could be possible.

    Sad to see a really nice feature go to the bin.

    It should be bought back. Just mark the stream then not as "live" instead mark it as "rerun" Then it would be clear it is not live live.

    i think it would be appreciated by many of reckful's viewers if his stream at least could continue to run reruns, the streamkey to his channel is no longer available and without these reruns the remaining community is likely to be lost

    Reckful's reruns serve a great purpose for his community. This was wish he had for us, so we could re-live these moments with him even when he was gone, please consider that before you remove this feature. #KeepRerunsAlive

    Please keep the reruns. Reckful did a lot for Twitch, pls don't turn your backs on him now.

    you removed the friendlist, now you remove the reruns. where is the improvement? and what about reckfuls channel?

    maybe you should speedrun your brilliant decisions and remove the chat. twitch is becoming less and less enjoyable!

    Byron did so much for twitch, this is just a small thing in comparison for preserving his memory <3

    The provided reasons by you - twitch are kinda weird,
    but I would want to see some compromise, a lot of streamers can just "stream VODS with the checkbox" but byron cannot.
    so you should figure out something, because ton of people go through his stream even now

    I feel like you want to cut down costs, I get it but the community would like to see a reasonable solution - how to get this functionality for byrons channel (+ maybe some others in the future)

    watching VODS is not the same, it has to be realtime twitch chat with synced video and indication in the follow list - can still be at the end of the list, thats fine

    Please don't remove rerun feature.. :( So many of us are enjoying this feature through keeping Reckfuls memory alive and going. This is one of those times where you should let your heart speak and not your mind.

    Reckful's reruns have been the one thing keeping his community together on twitch, I wholeheartedly agree with AsrtoriasRex and hope the Rerun feature is going to stay

    Removing this feature will do so much more harm than good. Please, Twitch, let us keep the community that has formed through Reckful's rerun VODs alive. Obviously it's not one of the most used features of the site, but it's really important to a lot of us.

    please keep reruns around. and let reckful’s community help eachother. only yesterday someone in chat said he wanted to kill himself. we all talked and listened to the person. made him understand he shouldnt. sometimes people just want to be heard. please keep reruns alive

    #KeepRerunsAlive This feature is crucial for the continued existence of many Twitch communities. Removing it would be harmful to so many people that depend on it to remain connected to their community.
