Remove / Update Collection Limit
I request that the 100 collection limit be removed or raised.
A channel can have an infinite amount of videos uploaded / highlighted / clipped, but can only organise them into 100 playlists. Once you've played 100+ games, you're out of luck.
For variety streamers who play many different games and would like their content to be accessible and organised, this limit has forced alternative options (like off-site re-uploading / messy collection systems).
I would like to keep my community ON Twitch, and I would like ALL content that I've made remain in one place, organised, rather than providing various links to different sites.

honestly this limit to collections is annoying and actually needs to be removed i've removed alot of highlights just so i could create a new collection, and i've uploaded them to YT which i don't want to do, im not looking to split my viewerbase between the 2 platforms and no one is going to view them on YT because im solely a twitch streamer but i've hit the collection limit multiple times and had to delete just to make a new ones. it makes no sense why this is still in place.

Another month, another plea to get rid of this limitation. Please let us make as many collections as we want without this arbitrary limit. We can make unlimited highlights, why not collections?
See you next month.

Twitch, why is this still in place? remove the this arbitrary limit to collections already.

Happy New Year to the post that never gets looked at and probably never will.
This is a request once again to REMOVE the limit to the number of collections a user can make on their channel. As the original post has stated, this limit is arbitrary as you can already make unlimited highlights. As a variety streamer, it is incredibly frustrating to have this limitation in place for the sake of organization.
See you next month.

Do you know what I would like for the new year? The removal of this unnecessary limit to the number of collections you can have. It will benefit the streamer for the organization and the viewer to see if that streamer has played a certain game before.
If there is no limit to the number of uploads/highlights you can have, there is no reason for collections to have this limit. A VOD channel on YouTube would prove much more beneficial in the long run.

Unlimited highlights but not unlimited collections. It makes no sense, makes sorting highlights by game incredibly limiting and is, once again, an arbitrary and unnecessary limitation. I would love to not have a single playlist cluttered and unorganized with all of the new games I've played. That would be awful, except it's already happening. YouTube is king for VOD organization.

Using these methods, you can organize more games on your channel and provide a better experience for viewers by helping them find the content they want more easily.

Back again, more than a month after my previous post. If you're able to create unlimited highlights on any given channel, then there's no reason why there should be a limit on the number of collections/playlists you can create. It is an arbitrary limitation and extremely unnecessary. I can easily see an implementation similar to YouTube where there is no such limit on the number of playlists a channel can have.

i've been trying to bring awareness to this posting it over on twitter, regardless this limitation is terrible there should not be a limit to the amount of collections that a streamer can make.

Been more than a month since the last post, commenting here again asking to REMOVE THE COLLECTION LIMIT! IT'S AN ARBITRARY LIMIT AND UNECCESSARY!
-

It's been a month since a post was made here, unfortunate that this wasn't talked about at Twitchcon. The collection limit is, once again, an unnecessary limitation seeing as we can already save unlimited highlights on our channels.

commenting here again to boost this, ya know the funny part about this is that, i originally came here cause i @'d twitch support on twitter and they told me to voice my opinion here which to me seems like they see this but you would think that with this many people they'd actually do something about it? idk this baffles me there shouldn't be a limit.

Just hit that collection limit! Still baffled by this limitation. If any staff is reading this, please fix this.

Commenting here again to boost this. I would appreciate it greatly if someone, ANYONE, on the team can look into increasing the collection limit or just removing it altogether. It is INCREDIBLY limiting and arbitrary. I'll be back in 4 months.

I agree with this, im a variety streamer myself, i organize my playthroughs via collections, it helps my community in case they didn't want spoilers until after they finished they can go back and watch or incase they joined recently they can watch my older playthrough of games they like and what not. I didnt even know their was a limit until today when i realized i hit the limit.

I am just about to reach the limit on collections/playlists. It's stressful, limiting, and just plain unnecessary. I like to highlight and archive my streams for organizational purposes. The fact that they have this arbitrary limit makes no sense to me. As far as I'm concerned, these should be NO limit to the number of collections you can make.

Reworks for the collection system:
-Removal of the limit on collections
-The ability to add thumbnails for a collection
-Instead of showing all the videos in a collection on the Videos page, just show one. Then, more collections would be visible at once. -

Not only would it be beneficial for twitch to either increase or remove the limit for content collection purposes, it will drive traffic to the site rather than redirecting to another platform. Maintaining a user base, increasing CPM for people looking for content and watching it not just for creators, but for twitch as well. For a viewers experience, rather than going to another platform to watch and redirecting to another website (e.g. YouTube, bitchute, etc). And consolidating in one site, it is much easier to stay on one platform.
