Seperating Video Layers
This has probably been thought about already, but why wouldn't you give the end-user the opportunity to decide the layout of the stream? What I mean is providing the end-user with similar options to the content creator. Meaning the user can decide where to place the face cam overlay, or even turn it off. Potentially even enable a second playback browser tab. That way, users have the potential to enjoy the gameplay without having part of the game covered with the content creators face. Or if they want, they can have the creators second camera on full screen in a second tab or on their second monitor. This wouldn't only make sense for gaming streams. Imagine a woodworker streaming himself carving a piece of wood. If the content creator has 2 cameras, he could set up a wide shot which includes the face and him talking, as well as a close up on the work he is doing with his hands. The user can then decide which angle he wants to go for, or even have both open at the same time. Of course, I am not sure how easy it is to implement this feature, but it doesn't sound impossible to me.
