Enable/Disable option for autoplay feature in past broadcasts
Hey, I watch alot of past broadcasts and I don't quite understand why we're all being forced to use this option. It might be good with short videos like on other platforms, but on here it's more painfull than useful.
Me and probably many other people watch them while going to sleep. So If you wake up and there are random streams marked (auto play plays random pb's for me), it's hard to remember what you actually watched.
I also noticed that it doesn't always shows what's going to be played next https://gyazo.com/838517e196f50c6d757a3f6d9b1a9a3d .
I really hope you implement this feature as fast as possible.

Most of the time when I'm catching up on a stream series I want to watch the most recent vod and that vod alone. The option to stop twitch from playing every vod ever recorded from that point on if I don't manually stop it would be great. Most every other content platform has some form of sleep timer or autoplay on/off toggle. I'd really appreciate this and I can imagine it's not a super difficult thing to implement.

Yeah, when is this going to get implemented? I NEED to listen to something while trying to fall asleep because of my tinnitus, but having random streams autoplaying over the night is bad, because one random screech from the streamer can wake me up in the middle of the night and **** up my sleep. If you care for your viewers you should put this in!

well ill tell you why they wont do it... watch time to show partners/creators that "look how much time people spend watching videos isn't our platform great… forget about YT"

I've downloaded an app called 'App off timer'.
On Apps such as this I've set a 2 hour play limited.
After the two hours a notication appears. If I want to continue play the video I reopen twich and click play. Timer resets.
Stops it playing all night if I fall asleep. Can set timer for your needs.
My settings, off timer 2 hours, waiting time 0.

For anyone interested FrankerFaceZ has an option to disable the auto-play of the next recommended video after a video finishes. Option is under Channel » Player » Playback
. https://www.frankerfacez.comSomeone has added a push request to add the same feature to BetterTTV so its in the works but it has not been approved at the time of this post. https://github.com/night/BetterTTV/pull/3050

http://sleeptimer.org/ is a great website to use until they do add it, It lets you set a sleep timer attached to a url I use it just for this purpose because it just plays one VOD!

I wish there was a way to turn off autoplay. I sometimes use VODs to fall asleep. I did this just the other day with twitch playing on my phone and because it kept playing through the night I woke up to my phone burning hot that is now permanently damaged its battery. This is a terrible, and in my case dangerous, feature.

absolutely would benefit from this feature. i go to sleep to VODs constantly, and every time a sleep cycle comes around (like every 1-2 hours or whatever) i risk being woken up or risk having poor sleep quality. thanks!

I can understand how auto-playing past broadcasts might be a way to bring in additional ad revenue (though I may be wrong about this being the pragmatic reason behind the feature, but honestly the lack of a way to turn this off makes me much more likely to wait and see the vods I want when they get uploaded to Youtube. I actually haven't renewed any of my subscriptions for a while, just because not using the twitch app makes it hard for me to justify giving them a cut. If there really aren't many people who desire this, please just have the auto-play turned on by default with some obfuscated, hard to find option hidden in the UI somewhere. That'd be better than this.

I've desired an actual option to turn this feature off for quite some time.
