YouTube Importing
It would be nice for those people choosing to migrate exclusively to Twitch Uploads if they could import their videos from services like YouTube without having to reupload all of them or "start over" from scratch, especially for those with several hundred videos to bring over.

Yes yes & more yes.. I am in same boat. I have Terabytes worth of videos that I would like to just click "Import all" and have all the info & files just copied from Youtube to Twitch.

I would love to see this (thought I'd just reply to this rather than create a duplicate post). It's something I found really useful with Vid.me, and as I'm now making the move to focus on Twitch rather than YouTube, an importer would make life a LOT easier.
Also, I'm aware CommanderRoot has suggested a website that can do this, but I'd personally feel more comfortable having this as a feature actually on Twitch. -

It would be very nice. I too would like to solely use Twitch.
Perhaps this could be a future feature for the new desktop app! -

I use the free software called 4K video downloader to get my YouTube videos I created from my old YouTube Broadcasts from my PS4. You can go to the playlist url on youtube copy the URL to the clipboard and click on paste URL link in the software and it will parse the videos and seperate them by video adding (1) (2) etc.. Then I just go to the video manager on twitch and upload them one at a time to the queue. In about 8 hours I have all my videos on twitch ready to edit descriptions. I wanted to switch over to twitch as a live channel so I downloaded the Videos as 720p MP4 videos and uploaded there here to twitch. Now I have hours and hours of gameplay to edit through as video on demand and soon hopefully a playlist that runs automatically while I'm not live. I'm still trying to figure out where that feature is. Is there a playlist feature on here so we can select an uploaded edited video of our broadcast and play it while not live here on twitch? That would make twitch a truly 24 hour channel.

I got over 3000 videos on my Youtube channel and would like to transfer them to Twitch, but to re upload them would take forever. So a quick transfer would save time and get all my videos here.

@Gwyrr The tool does all the connections / network work. The users Internet connection neither does the download from Youtube nor the upload to Twitch. The only thing you have to do is to tell the tool which videos you want to transfer and it does it, even if you close the browser.

@ Commander Root: As far as I understood your link, this tool is downloading a YT-video and uploading it to twitch. So this is going to get a lot of traffic on the users internet connection and can't be done when the user is switching off his computer. I think Otaku Showboat meant something else: the twitch servers shall directly connect to the youtube servers and transfer the videos (of course a check is neccessary that you don't import the videos of someone else). This should be done without the users computer or internet connection. This would be a great help for those with several hundred or even severals thousand (long) videos.

There are already 3rd party tools which let you import Youtube videos to your Twitch account: https://youtube-to-twitch.rootonline.de/
