Separate Audio stream for music on Stream
I think it would be cool if Twitch made it so streams can have music on a separate audio stream and viewers can choose if they want to hear both streamer and music or just the streamer. The music part can be made to all for song requests or interfaced with outside music sources like iTunes or Windows Media Player

I fully agree with this, the mad lad Swiftor himself (by the way Swiftor if you see this I've been a fan for about 10 years absolutely love you) makes a great point about muting the copyright music and the difficulty of pulling this off, and if this could be done it would be absolutely amazing to have as a feature on streams. One of my problems, when I am trying to watch some streamers, is the music choice, volume, or content. I think it would be great to be able to mute or turn down the music in some way for the individual persons.

This sounds super difficult to pull off - but it would be amazing. It would also solve copyrighted music muting streamer voice, etc. in many cases.

Allowing end viewers to control audio sources individually is such a great idea. I'd love to be able to mute streamer voice occasionally. This idea can probably go under Accessibility as well...

I've come here to make the same request. I'd love to be able to disable the music steam so i can listen to my own.

We need this, to give viewers a mixer with different channels (ex: mic, game sound, music).
Personally, I hate watching streams with music -

Watching your fav streamer is great but sometimes their music choice just does not work well. I suggest having a separate audio channel for streamers who are playing music in the background. By creating a separate channel (or w/e the right word is) the viewer can mute the music w/o having to mute the whole stream.

In addition to not having to rely on streamers to get their voice, game and music balance right. If one likes the music to be off and listen to his own, easy. And you can make it and "advanced" option so that people who don't want to bother with balancin the channels don't have to.

It would be great to let streamers send multiple audio channels. For example splitting game audio, streamer voice, music, and notifications.
Often Twitch is open to the side while the viewer is doing something else, and being able to switch off or adjust the volume of certain audio channels so they interfere less would be very useful, and make it more likely for users to keep tabs open.

+3 This is one thing I have been hoping for for a long time. I enjoy most streamers music, but there are times when I won't even watch a streamer because I don't enjoy the taste in music. Being able to mute their background music and play my own would incentivize people to invest in more streamers.

Honestly this.
Copyrighted music kills vods for me (also sometimes streamers listen to music I really dislike)
The ability to turn off music and listen to your own, and still enjoy a vod without half the audio missing would be a game changer for twitch -

I was planning to make my own topic until i saw your topic Octapoo
With the Copyright Content on Audio and Muting of channelsI would aswell like to see an seperate or multiple audio tracks added below the stream. And allow our viewers to set their own volume Low, High or Off
The Music should be provided by twitch and people can request to add Music to it, If they can provide information that the music they want added is 100% Royaly free
And Please let us add our own playlists or Multiple playlists selected out of the music Twitch makes availableSo No More Vods getting Muted, Its Really hartbreaking if i have something i want to make a highlight off and half of it is Muted
Please TWITCH Make this available

I agree, perhaps separate audio streams would also prevent muting the streamer's voice in VODs when he's listening to copyrighted music. It would be beneficial to everybody.

Multiple audio streams in a single video are supported by OBS and popular video formats, but Twitch strips alternate audio streams from video it receives and offers no way to select alternate audio streams while watching a stream.
This feature came about in order to allow videos to have audio in multiple languages, which is something any streamer is unlikely to do, but the availability of multiple audio streams can allow streamers to make alternate audio streams for other purposes. For example:
1. Those with poor hearing may benefit from a voice-only stream so that game audio, background music, and sound effects aren't obscuring the streamer's voice.
2. A voice-only audio channel may help Twitch create more accurate captions with speech-to-text software that may be confused by background noise.
3. Viewers with good hearing may benefit too simply by being able to mute a streamer's bad taste in music and obnoxious sense of what sort of sound effects are fun to have in a stream.
4. It's not impossible that a professional streamer with the right kind of show might want to hire a translator to open their stream to an audience that speaks a different language.

Might be something to take to StreamElements or something... as they do an overlay now for OBS.

Yep, I would love this. I just came on here to suggest the same thing!
There are a few streamers I would love to watch but their music kills it for me and so I don't watch their stream.
Introducing this functionality would open up streams to a broader audience, and could only benefit streamers

Yeah thats what i need too, sometimes the streamer plays music that i dont like to hear at the stream, and other people will like it maybe.
So a small panel where i can uncheck from options Streamer, Gamesound, Streamed Musik would be very nice -
