Bits

How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. Many users like to work towards a badge goal when gifting subs and bits. Total subs gifted in a channel is already tracked each time someone gifts a sub, which allows the user to understand how close they are to the next sub badge (i.e. "PersonA has gifted a sub to PersonB. PersonA has gifted a total of 975 subs in the channel" -> now they know if they gift 25 more subs, they will get the 1K subs badge). I'm proposing something similar for bits, either publicly or locally so that the user can see their total bits contributed…

  2. First of all, I would like to state that I am only posting this here because I couldn't find any other media to convey my feedback to Twitch about the matter. This page looks more like an "ideas" page than a feedback page, but as there aren't any feedback media, I will write about it here. (The ticket page auto-directs users here when the option "feedback" is selected)

After the recent Twitch data leak, some users have noticed unusual bits activity in some small streamers' data in the Turkish community. After a short while, more data were discovered and a…

  5. I just purchased 1500 bits ($15 to streamer) for $19.95 -- a $4.95 markup. This made me think about the amount of bit donations vs. PayPal donations I've seen over the years, and the fees associated with PayPal are much more attractive.

Bits however are very interactive and entertaining. The novelty of getting a bit badge and having your cheer posted at the top of the chat is likely a reason why people choose to pay the premium. That being said, for every person that buys bits, the other person donates on PayPal because its cheaper. If Twitch wants to…

  6. Allow viewers to use BITS (cheer) currency to buy micro ad-free viewing blocks for channels.

    0.10 Bits for 1 Hour
    0.20 Bits for 2 Hours

  7. Sou afiliada e estou com um problema. A Twitch me incluiu em um teste com os Cheers e, no dia 29/09/2022 (prazo máximo estipulado), pedi para NÃO PARTICIPAR DO TESTE.
No entanto o teste continua ativo. Meus expectadores estão reclamando que não conseguem me enviar BITS no chat, somente doação com preços em reais que não condizem com a condição econômica deles.

POR FAVOR TIREM ESSE TESTE DO MEU CANAL, está me prejudicando diretamente.

  8. change the bits to like tiktok type. each icon have their own bit price, not 10,100,100,5000
example a rose cost 10, a love cost 100 bit, no other bit option.
and while pressing will sent it right away like tiktok. not while pressing it shown at chat text. and while sending it give exp to level the badge for example a rose give 1 exp, love give 100 exp. and make 1 icon like for 100, after sending the 100 will get 100 exp, but! this is the only 1, 1 icon can give extra random 1 exp, 66 exp,…

  9. there could be a bit train so anyone can start it by doing a mathematical series of bit donations. for example: someone donates 1 bit, some other one donates 2, 3 etc. or someone donates 100, 200, 300... or even 3, 6, 9 or 5, 10, 15 etc.
doing a long combo unlock more bit emotes.
there could also be some high level unlocks for 100 or 1000 bit chains.

  10. I think that the bits of Twitch's own currency should remain and that the revenue should only be taken by Twitch, so that the streamers can keep the subscriptions as a source of income for themselves. Since taxes in Germany or England are very high, it is difficult to be able to get anything from them. At least for small streamers who have an affiliate but don't earn more than $ 1000 to say they live off it. The Twitch fixes on a source of income and says that Twitch gets and the rest of the little streamers. And that…

  15. Make it to where our bit cheering badge would keep track of our number of cheers we've done in a channel (i.e. 100, 1000, 5000, 100000), but we could pick our own color we wanted from a list. I'm currently at 75000 cheers with a green badge in a channel, and I would love to keep cheering, but dont want to lose my green badge that it comes with. :)

  17. Since Twitch introduced Subscription and Follower Goals to be visible on streamer's profile page, maybe the same could be done with Bits.

  19. The benefits of Twitch Turbo are very lackluster - The Chat Badge, Expanded Emotes, and custom username colors provide little value added benefit for the price of the subscription, with only the ad free viewing and broadcast storage being of any particular value. Also, having twitch turbo appears to convey no benefit to creators being watched, and in fact, would deny them the ad revenue Turbo subscribers pay to avoid without providing that creator a substitiary revenue in some other manner.

Therefore, I propose that Twitch Turbo add a small monthly stipend of bits as part of the Turbo service,…
