  1. When searching, it would be nice to add a filter for the mod loaders

For example, we have the current options
Sort By: [Date Created, Last Updated, Name, Popularity, Total Downloads]
    Game Version: [1.14.2, 1.13.2, ...]

It would be nice to add the following:
Mod Loader: [Forge, Fabric (1.14.x), Rift (1.13.x)] or [Forge, Other]

    This would be greatly appreciated.
You could simply add a checkbox when uploading mods to the site to signify that the mod is not a forge mod.

Add a shaders section please. A lot of devs are following me over to curseforge after the death of mc forums

  3. Official API for project information

Currently, there are few ways to get information about projects other than the webpage. The best solution is the CFWidget API (from Curse) which seems to be ending support and is no longer working on the redesign https://www.cfwidget.com/
I'd like to propose either continuous support of this API or a new, official option. For example, this API would give information like download counts, files (version, link to download page, downloads per file), thumbnails, description in some sort of web compatible form (JSON, XML) that could be publicly accessed and requested.
An example use case is say, a portfolio site. My…

  4. Please re-add the navigation buttons and descriptions to images when you click on them

It's really annoying to have to close the full view of an image just to move to the next one, it'd be far easier to have navigation buttons on the sides, and the description of the image under it, kinda how it used to be on the old site.

Better yet, just re-enable the old site and stop forcing a ****** UI on people that literally no-one ******* wanted! Thanks!

  5. Allow Mod Packs to include other projects.

Mod packs should be able to include projects other than mods. The most obvious example for this is the already existing customizations project type. This category is meant for sharing mod configurations and scripts, however they can not be used or included in modpacks. Worlds are also a project type that would benefit from being includable in modpacks.

  7. Add a datapack category for Minecraft

Datapacks have been around for years now and as curseforge is the main place to download them I'm chocked how there still isn't a category! Currently they are mixed with mod configurations which don't have any similarities at all. Please add a datapack category the same way as mods, modpacks, resourcepacks etc

  8. On each modpack files to be able to know exactly what version of the mod its being used

This will help mod developers as well as modpack creators as well as users, especially when a crash/issue happens and you need to know exactly which version caused the crash/issue

Also its just really nice to know what version of the mod a modpack uses... will help updating packs and pack management

  9. Like other video game mod sites, it would be amazing to have a "trending" tab.

Basically a simple tab to show the weeks most downloaded mods, also a new filter option when browsing mods to search by release date AND popularity. Easily finding the most popular mods of the past week, or month. This would really help drive the modding scene because currently its hard to find new and exciting mods because the most popular constantly have the foreground.

  10. On the authors dashboard, allow to downloading all statistics at once.

Since we can now download statistics per project, it would be nice not to have to go through multiple pages of projects to download all of the data.

  11. Search Filter for Mods/Add-ons that have open localization for my language

Let us use a filter on the Curseforge website to find project that still need localizations for our languages, it would help people like me that love to translate for mods to find stuff more easily and would obviously help a lot of add-on creators to have their stuff translated faster.

  12. Minecraft Mod Category Request.

I have noticed that the Minecraft mod categories are missing 1 major category that I need to make a modpack for something. My friends and I are playing a medieval roleplay server and want a pack to take the vanilla look and feel and change it into something more what we wanted. To do this we need the Client Side category to be added so that we can easily discern which mods are have client sided effects and which have a server side content added. Examples of these types of mods I would like to see in such a category…

  13. Show the version number of the add-on on it's main page. (It used to be that way!)

  14. Give us the ability to search the "issues" portion of minecraft mod packs.

Currently we can view the issues page for mod packs to see bugs/feedback reported there. We can toggle to view by tags or status (open/closed) but we cannot perform any simple search in this section. Being able to search would allow us to determine if an issue has already been reported/addressed.

    Sample page: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/project-ozone-3-a-new-way-forward/issues

I would like the Localization-Tab from the WoW-Curseforge on the Minecraft Curseforge

  16. New Keyword Substitution: integer date of build/packaging

After talking on discord with Zeldo and Torhal we found that @project-date-integer@ does not match the date the zip file was made.
It match the date of the last commit on git.

If last commit was made locally and merged only a few days later, with other commits in between, the number returned by @project-date-integer@ can be lower than previous zip file.

So this field can't be use for versioning, and there is no other field than can be used for this purpose.

  17. "Related Projects" section on curseforge pages. (minecraft.curseforge, mainly)

Like you see on the Google Play store, for example.

Use cases I want to use it for: (In my case, mostly with mods)

    - Commonly viewed/downloaded together. (Would cover a really all of these, but more specifically:)
    - Mods that do the same thing. Categories aren't quite specific enough, and even if I search for it it's still really common that I find a post on something super common on reddit, for example, for something I *specifically* looked for on curse and it didn't come up. This is frustrating.
    - Parent/Children mods. Different from dependants; dependants are only reliable…
