  1. More modloader support across curse without being required to use forge.

Options to chose between modloaders and supported mods/modpacks such as FabricAPI, liteloader, rift and so on.

Each modloader having it's own mods and modpack area as to not mix them up causing compatibility issues without including Forge as we are required to use at the moment (since that has been the only modloader on curse for a long time now)

  5. Linux Compatibility Improvements

Either on the client side or through the website to allow authors who are using STRICTLY Linux to use it. Without having to resort to complicated WINE installation.

  6. "Update All" button in mod list

When managing the mods installed in a pack, it's very common to want to update every mod with an update available. Currently, this requires scrolling through the mod list and manually clicking on all the update buttons, which can take quite a while even for modestly-sized (50-100 mods) packs.

A simple "update all" button, which could even be hidden in the "…" menu at the top, would make this so much less annoying and error prone (easy to overlook a button when scrolling).

  9. API access to csv data

Right now we can export projects via csv 1 at at time. For developer like myself with 60 projects this is very inefficient and requires automation to get down quickly. What me and several other developers would like is an API driven way to access the data exported. This way we can feed it into other tools and software directly. As well integrate it with our sites for the projects.

  10. Upload mods and modpacks from client

Would be useful to be able to upload mods and modpacks in the client. With the primary request being modpacks as its a bit of a pain to export, change file name, and then upload each time. Instead, it would be useful to update the modpack, check everything, and then upload directly from the client itself.

  11. You can MASSIVELY improve CurseForge simply by making the project search show whether something is a mod or a modpack.

I just now went out of my way to join a Discord server and tried to ask someone whether their mod Technomancy Revamped had the same issue as another 1.12.2 port of the mod called Technomancy. After much confusion and irritation on both sides of the conversation, someone mentioned to me that Technomancy Revamped is a modPACK, not a mod. The CurseForge search results give absolutely no indication whatsoever as to whether a specific result is a mod, modpack, texture pack, or whatever else it could be. I just wasted thirty minutes barking completely up the wrong tree because of…

  12. Provide a way to find new projects on CurseForge

It would be very useful to have a reliable way of finding new mods on CurseForge. There is the ability to sort by the project creation date, however this is not the same as a project being new, and has many issues that can harm the discoverability of new projects.

To give an example, many mod authors will create the CurseForge project page days/weeks/months before they upload a new file. The reasoning from this can vary but it's often because they want to reserve the slug ID, or an issue came up in development which has delayed release. Another possible…

  13. Has Dependency Icon

Next to the mod download on main page there should be a small icon to say the file has dependencies. Right now if a user clicks the quick download option there is nothing to tell them there is dependencies. This information is hidden in the files page. Which very few users actually travel to check for dependencies. Many mod authors I've talked to have resorted to "HAS DEPENDENCIES" messages/links at the top of the page.

This could be solved with a little icon, maybe even a number, next to the download button.

Thanks for the suggestion! We’ve reviewed your idea and would like to hear more. Can you give us some more details about your suggestion? Specifically:

    (1) Is this referring to in the desktop app or on the website?
    (2) Can we see some examples of what you mean?

  14. Allow Mod Packs to include other projects.

Mod packs should be able to include projects other than mods. The most obvious example for this is the already existing customizations project type. This category is meant for sharing mod configurations and scripts, however they can not be used or included in modpacks. Worlds are also a project type that would benefit from being includable in modpacks.

  15. Add total size of modpacks (with all included mods)

Adding a display for the total size of a given modpack (actual modpack download with configs and all + all mods it includes) would be great.

  17. Optional mods in modpacks

When making a modpack it would be cool to have optional mods. This is a feature that exists in a few launchers I've created for other groups. It works by defining a flag on each mod (required, recommended, optional). Then when a user starts or installs the pack it asks if they want to enable the mod or leave it disabled.

The idea behind this would be to allow shipping mini-maps or performance fixed. While allowing users to disable them without unlocking the modpack and manually disabling the mods.

It would also provide a much better user experience. Along with…

  18. On each modpack files to be able to know exactly what version of the mod its being used

This will help mod developers as well as modpack creators as well as users, especially when a crash/issue happens and you need to know exactly which version caused the crash/issue

Also its just really nice to know what version of the mod a modpack uses... will help updating packs and pack management

  20. See download history per Minecraft Version

With the new csv export option for projects it would be amazing to see download history by Minecraft Version. This would be move involved as it would take populating data based on file history. However, it could be used to give mod authors a better insight into which version has more support. If they see 1.13 for example only has 10 users but 1.12 has 1000. Then they can focus updates on 1.12 until 1.13 takes off.
