How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  2. Every extension panel and/or overlay should have an option to globally disable it. There is some content I simply will not ever engage with. It's a waste of my time, my UX, and your servers to continue to serve me dead ends. You can even measure this to inform a streamer of the effectiveness of their extension choices, empowering them to make better choices. Lord knows you profit from all the bit extensions and whatnot, so doesn't it behoove you to ensure their employed effectively?

  3. What twitch really needs is the removal of sexual content, and half naked bimbos live streaming nothing but sitting there half naked, doing nothing of any value. There's a site for that, it's called PornHub, Chaturbate, Xvideos, whatever you wanna call it. Hoes are ruining Twitch for everyone!

  4. I would like an extension for twitch that visually displays the volume of the selected audio source in the stream! For example, in a left-right audio bar.
Maybe there is such a thing, I haven't found anything similar among the extensions.

  5. Currently it is impossible for users or developers to disable or turn off an extension based on currently set category. Having an option to automatically detect (based on set category) or manually turn them off temporarily when the game or application may still be running in the background but not actively played / shown on stream would give us the option to prevent irrelevant info from cluttering the screen and would improve viewers' experiences without having to completely uninstall and reinstall an extension every time.

Many extensions are in the "extensions for games" category on Twitch and many streamers may…

  6. The idea is for the streamer who has this extension to be able to not only customize the look or model of the pet/mascot but also for the pet/mascot to be able to analyze chat and get the vibe of the community (Using AI) to interact with the community

  10. With Twitch Extensions, the Twitch community can interact in ways that were never thought possible. Additionally, it also frees creators to stream from non-traditional devices, while still maintaining the quality we have come to expect on the Twitch Platform.

Traditionally, creators use powerful desktop computers to encode video in real-time and stream to Twitch. With broadcasting software, such as Open Broadcasting Software or OBS, creators can produce a unique experience for their community through a video overlay that represents their personality and brand, and most importantly, helps them differentiate themselves from other creators on the Platform. Differentiation is crucial to…

  12. I started researching how to make a Twitch extension, and for the life of me I cannot find any capability to submit events to be listened to by clients through EventSub (or PubSub).

Being able to do this would relieve simple extensions from having to rely on their own hosted server, but could instead rely on the transports Twitch already provides.

At least with EventSub this seems like a reasonable connection, as it would be a specific subscription, meaning events from extensions wouldn't show up unless specifically asked for.

I believe this is not possible today as there is no…

  13. Pando is a Twitch extension that allows streamers to adopt a pet.

The pet will respond in chat about new interactions, like followers, subscribers or just a friendly hello to new chatters.

We often receive the request to change the extension-name that is visible in chat. Currently it's Pando (same as the extension name). We would like streamers to change it so it will appears as the pets name.

We know it's a niche feature request but we hope it becomes possible.

  14. Honestly! I am posting all over these pages as I CANNOT find anywhere where a streamer can actually fill out a form to Twitch to ask for help! This should not be so difficult for us streamers. Really, can someone please come back to me and tell me where I would either a) Fill out a form asking for help; b) Report abuse/trolling? Really, this is not a great experience at all. All I am trying to do is find out why I cannot find the "Start a Rerun" extension? I have just come out of hospital and want to…

  16. Current state: Twitch allows 1 Extension Overlay slot per channel.

Requested Feature: At least 1 additional Extension Overlay slot per channel.

Components require viewers to open the extension to interact with it. Good for items that the streamer are seeking out, but not viewer interaction.

Overlays allow immediate interaction when someone joins the stream. Useful for polling, available prime subscription, Closed Captioning, Crowd Control, many bit/sub/tip extensions, and of course game overlays to increase chat interactions.

Many streamers either have 1 Overlay at all times regardless of the game they are playing because of the functionality of the overlay, but…

  18. I've often had bad actors on my extension inputting data which goes against Twitch's Terms of Service.

I currently have my own banning system, which also bans IPs, but it's not enough to stop the same people from returning.

I would love if we could see whether or not a user has a verified email on their account. Either through the JWT or through the API.

This would allow developers to make certain features verified email only and therefore, keep extensions safe from bad material.

    Thanks,
    Raven.

  19. Loyalty points, bits, and emojis are able to be accessed easily just below and beside the chat bar. When you have Sound Alerts (the extension) installed...it only will show 5 sound alerts that you can get with loyalty points in the loyality points tab. It does not show the bit payable Sound Alerts there. Instead, there is a sound alert tab (extension tab) that most viewers do not know about on the actual screen. Lots of streamers make money off these sound alerts. The sound alerts tab (extension tab) on the screen is difficult for the viewer to find and…
