Start minimized to system tray
Would like it if the Twitch app could start minimized to system tray.
I understand that this is the most important app I could have on my PC, but as it is now i close it to the tray every single time my PC boots.

We’ll be fixing this very soon.

Please fix this is stupid, I dont use twitch much so I have no need for it to annoy me on every boot!

I really wish 'very soon' meant within 6 months. Let alone that its been two years.
I guess I don't have a right to be angry -- I don't pay for Twitch the way I used to pay for Curse years ago -- but this continues to be a showstopper for me to regularly use your product.
It's a feature you never should have taken away, or at least one you should have realized years ago needed to be urgently put back in. You know, like on 10 Sep 2017 when the suggestion above was made.

Ehi Admin, for real, this is taking some serious time and when you revamped the good old CurseApp it already supported this "feature" can we have it back?

Hey Admin... this has happened before... multiple times. And we are told it will be "fixed".
When do we begin to believe it is deliberate??

And after 2 years this remains the same, going to start looking for alternatives....

Simple AutoHotkey script:
Run, %APPDATA%\Twitch\Bin\Twitch.exe ;path to Twitch binary
FindAndClose:
if WinExist("ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_1") {
WinClose
Exit
}
Goto, FindAndCloseCompile to exe with Ahk2Exe compiler and put to autorun folder. Don't forget to disable Twitch autostart in Twitch settings. Also you need to enable "When I Close the App: Hide Twich" setting.

I'm disabling the automatic start until I can have it start minimized to system tray. Very frustrating practice having it open. Even setting the shortcut to start minimized does not work.

Twitch has just updated and decided to launch maximized at Windows start up.
Why?? No other platforms do that.

Seriously, revamped app & still You can't bring this SIMPLE, FOUND IN FRIGGIN' EVERY PROGRAM OPTION BACK?! You know how most of Your users use Twitch app? Turn it on, update addons, close app. I personally conciously choose not to check out any and all functionality of the app just because it is missing this option.

One more vote. First step is I'm no longer logging in automatically.
Next is to delete twitch entirely for idiotic feature removal.

+1 Couldn't agree more, what idiot removed that feature?
Like others, I only used this to access an update my addons (eg from Curse). Having this right in your face upon start should be entirely optional.

BRING BACK MINIMIZE TO SYSTEM TRAY ON STARTUP!!
Yes, I was shouting. I was shouting because I'm that annoyed (pissed off) that this app, which is ONLY used for managing addons for my games, opens up full in my face every time I start Windows. Even with all of the complaints about this essential option having become non-existent and the fact that your users are telling you that they want it back, the most recent update still did not resolve the problem. To me that means that you, Twitch, don't listen to your users, or you do and simply don't care. Because of this I have disabled the app and am researching other options for managing my game addons.

Adding my name to this. I'm going to disable start up with Windows at this point because it's really annoying.
